At half dozen freighters would appear over Chandaar carrying two hundred thousand litres of Mandalorian Mint Schnapps to a local shipper. The Mint Schnapps was Mr Cratwright's first MandalMerchandise attempt. Having used his mental patients on Vjun to produce the stuff, purchasing the labour from the Empire at a knockdown rate (as with prisons in contemporary USA). The paperwork was all in order and the load was to be shipped to local distributors. The profits from this sale would allow him to open a distillery close to the Mandate and rake in the profits by selling cut price alcohol to the benighted people.

After all, while the Mandate itself was apparently one of the worst places to invest in the Empire, it was easier to make money from poor people than rich people. And he planned to squeeze them for every drop they had, allowing them temporary escape from their horrible lives but at the cost of their health and family. Such was life. Needless to say all his paperwork was in order and he had proof of the orders etc. There were also a number of Vjunite Tunics on one freighter, one freighter was also loaded with Iron and Copper.

The lead freighter opened up a line to the locals, the pilot speaking in a distinctive clipped Vjunite accent "This is Captain L'edeger of the Trade Flotilla "Benevolent Joy" requesting landing clearance for our vessels. We are three days out of Vjun and could do with taking in supplies."

Before they were allowed to land, the flight authority of Chandaar requested the cargo manifest as well as the reason for the vessels for arriving at Chandaar. When the cargo was found to be a new type of alcohol, one which hadn't been seen in the Mandate before, nor anywhere else in the known galaxy, that was known off, custom agents where already alerted, whom in turn had alerted the Cronese Mandate minister of health which had dispatched their own agents to see to the cargo. The freighters were allowed to land, while a small flight of fighters escorted them in. The moment the freighters landed though was a different situation all together. While they had been allowed to land and not stopped, their cargo was stopped before it left the landing pad.

An agent of the Cronese Mandate FDA approached the captain as he spoke up. "Captain L'edeger, I am Mr. Cain of the Cronese Mandate Food and Drug Administration, sent by the Minister of Health. We have on record that you are transporting a drink that is marked to be marketed to the people of the Mandate. While we welcome the trade, we still have not seen this alcohol before, and we must first test it to ensure that it is safe to be distributed to the people of the Cronese Mandate. Your other cargo of Copper, Iron and tunics will be allowed to continue on." Mr. Cain then pulled out a small book as he began to write a few notes before signing a line as he handed over a check. "We are sorry for this inconvenience that the testing will cause, this check though should cover some expectations that the produce of this beverage might have had for their first sales."

With that the alcohol was taken and secured, only to be shipped off to one of the Cronese Mandate FDA labs for testing to ensure that it was safe to distribute to the populace.

"Amazing really old boy. One wouldn't have thought ethyl alcohol, sugar and mint would be a very rare combination. Although having drank around the bars on Chandaar it doesn't entirely surprise me!" spoke Captain L'edeger in a jovial voice to the clearly overly self important official. He unbuttoned a scroll from his waist and handed it to the man.

"The cargo has already been tested by the Imperial Trade and Commerce Authority's Legal Intoxicants division and an Imperial Export License has been approved. Don't you think it will reflect badly on your world when you question the Emperor's ability to assure only the finest products are traded? Either way, I'll be reporting this up the chain to the Imperial Trade and Commerce Authority and Commerce Committee. This is Ethyl alcohol, sugar and mint. Other fruit liquors are well known.. amazing how you guys stop Vjunite ships carrying mint alcohol. Almost as if you were targeting us eh?"

Some jokes were exclaimed by the crewmen on the landing pads about the inefficiency of the Cronese Mandate and it's ridiculous trade rules about importing common products. "Sure is the worst place to invest in the Empire!" one young man exclaimed to his companion as they laughed at the ongoing scene.

The Captain gave the man a minute to look and spoke again "We're financing a distillery with some of the Embarilites, I'm sure the people of Chandaar will be happy to see Embarilite whiskey back on their shelves!"

"The Imperial Trade and Commerce Authority issues guidelines, Sir. The Empire does not guarantee food safety and the Cronese Mandate has every right to test a new product that's sold to its people." Mr. Cain looked to the security forces that had been brought to secure the alcohol before it was loaded onto a handful of trucks and driven away from the pad. As the rest of those that had arrived wrapped things up Mr. Cain looked back to the captain. "I'm sure you can try to introduce Embarilite products to the people of Chandaar, last I heard though the People of the Cronese Mandate chose to put their own embargo in place against Embarilite products. I haven't heard of an Embarilite product being sold in a long time now." With that said Mr. Cain returned to the speeder that had brought him to the landing pad. Once he was seated, the speeder left the landing pad, following the convoy of trucks that were taking the alcohol off to be tested.
