At the Chandaar Reform Club, a marginally anti-Robeir institution on Chandaar, Lord Gilbert of Embaril would stand during a dinner held in his honour and in the honour of the other Embarilite Cronese refugees and would give the following speech.

"My noble Brothers and Sisters, I announce to you today that I am forming a new political party within the Mandate, the Cronese Justice Party will call for a radical agenda of reform which will bring the Cronese Mandate into a new era, alongside our brothers and sisters in the wider Empire. The Cronese Justice Party will stand for five things above all...

- Economic Reform leading to a reduction in Military spending and increased economic stimulus.
- Eventual reduction of taxes upon the people of the mandate.
- Protection of Cronese people, wherever they are.
- Improved Human Rights.
- Reduced trade barriers with the wider galaxy.

The Government under Robeir XIII has been nothing if not inept. The economy has stagnated as an increasing portion of our tax was delivered into the hands of the Cronese Military, which largely sails poor quality and old ships. To "improve" this fleet we are told that increasing sums are being spent on research and development? In the name of all that is Imperial why? This is why there are shipyard worlds is it not? This is why the mega corporations spend trillions on research and development and the tiny sums our own sector can throw at problems are as nought to what Kuat or Sienar or even Corellia can spend. As ever, poorly thought out policies will lead to a poor outcome for our military and every one of us.

We propose a mandate which will have a progressive economy, a dynamic economy. We would change the Cronese Mandate from being the "Worst place to invest in the Empire" (as is being widely quoted and demonstrated by Robeir's policies in the past days) to being one of the best and most welcoming economies to new startups and foreign investment.

Once these foolish policies are reversed. Once we can stop wasting money on silly fleets we do not need and once we can invest those funds elsewhere for a short time (such as purchasing a good value modern fleet) then we will be able to lower taxes. The burden will ease upon every household in the Mandate once our party is elected to power. And this burden would likewise be removed from local and other business which wishes to conduct itself in the Sector. Let's bring jobs into the Sector, not drive them away. Lets allow in foreign imports so we can have tasty and nutritious food on every table of the Cronese Mandate instead of having a ridiculously protectionist arrangement where we turn away cargoes intended for local business for political reasons.

The Justice Party would also call for justice for the Cronese People, wherever they are. This will not be the limp wristed and faltering attempts which we have seen from Robeir, but strong intervention. If we see Ethnic Cronese people in trouble we would use every means at our disposal to defend them. When the Cronese of Embaril cried out for help, Robeir left us to be butchered in droves. Robeir refused to protect us and our land. Robeir refused to guarantee our safety. Why is this?

This is because Robeir wanted to score petty political points off of the Embaril issue, to have a "nice little border dispute" and to show "the Mandate is boss". I propose that we deal firmly with threats to our people, wherever they dwell, and provide them with whatever protection we have within our ability - and damn the consequences. I propose that the Mandate would in future do what is right for it's people and for the Empire, not what is right for Robeir and his agenda. What we promise and seek is morals over expediency, good over political points. Most Cronese want the Mandate to be a healthy part of the Empire, not a troublemaker.

We would not be a poor neighbour to the other worlds in the Galactic Empire, instead we would be friendly and just to them. We would treat them with justice if they treated us with it. We would repond firmly to attacks when issued but otherwise we would be a sincere good friend to them. We would attempt to increase trade and be a good neighbour! We are not served by isolationism, but we could be served by sensibility.

Within the Cronese Mandate we would demonstrate our commitment to the goals of the New Order by increasing the rights of humans and protecting them from unfair regulations and restrictions. We would increase people's freedom and that would in turn boost the economy, people work harder when they are free and have a stake in the state they live within. Democracy allows us to do this, at the next election I firmly believe the people of the Cronese Mandate will see the truth and vote in favour of a Government which will defend them and their interests.

This is what the Justice Party seeks, and I hope you will all reach deeply into your pockets to help fund the party, and will consider becoming donors. We have several candidates already ready to run for the next elections but every penny that you gentlemen donate will translate into more support and a better, brighter, happier and more just mandate for everyone."

Gilbert would finish his speech and raise his glass "To the Cronese Mandate, to the Cronese people everywhere! And to the Empire!"

Gilbert Beckett
Leader of the Cronese Justice Party
Lord of the Embarilite Cronese (Self Styled)
King of Embaril (Pretender)
