Malos Yhemn's macrobinocular visor focused in on the warehouse from his vantage point atop an older-model close-stack apartment building two miles distant. It was a relatively clear day for one of Shiffrin's larger cities and as he was pressed down against the roof, covered fully in shade by the overhang of an extending air vent that led down into the building, he was not overly concerned about being spotted. Five days prior, he had scouted his target site, assessed situations in the city and set his routine. Two days prior, wearing a disguise, he had planted a number of false transmitters keyed to a certain signal on six different buildings that had a vantage around the warehouse line. One day prior, he had scanned the warehouse yard for trip sensors, multiple camera postings and even sentries of the automated and living variety. He couldn't speak for why his target's security was lacking in some areas, but by Yhemn's own standards, it was woefully inadequate. The warehouses were protected by a chain-linked fence; cheap and easy deterrent. At its single entrance was a glass-enclosed guard shack sporting a heater for its pair of occupants, with a holocam mounted on top. Around the quintet of warehouses were a total of four holocams, one of which was inoperable and locked into place on a certain point. It was clear his target did not fear much criminal mischief.

Early the prior evening, his target had arrived in a rather toned-down fancy repulsorcar to approve a number of papers on a large shipment and to go over the contents of the large number of crates, which Yhemn's spy camera had seen being moved into the warehouse. The car had remained there through the night and, minus a small hole that had been cut in the fence, allowing him to slither through, evade the security holocams and rig a very nasty thermal explosive with a radio detonator to the repulsor car's undercarriage before creeping back out, there was no trace he'd been there. Careful as ever, Yhemn had even used a small tube of molecule bonding glue to repair the fence; now, unless a trained eye was upon its exact section, nobody would know where to look.

Now, at long last, he identified his target: Shiffrin's largest shipping magnate, Hajim Thellen, an extremely portly man with a shock of bright red hair who climbed into his vehicle with the aid of a chauffeur. The car began to move from the warehouse, exiting the gate and moving past the guards to a safe distance before Yhemn clenched the detonator in his fist. The car detonated in a shocking explosion of flame and debris; the site chosen just so and the time such that any collateral casualties would be the pair of guards themselves and that only by bad luck if the blast threw debris at them. By the time the sound rolled across the rooftops, Yhemn would be gone from the building, the false transmitters when and if found would be seen to send the signal to the receiving device. Yhemn's disguise was in place less than ten minutes afterwards and he blended his way into the crowds on the far side of the city; many of whom would be unaware of such a minor item as had happened. Let the police sort it out was his philosophy as he approached the docking bay, devoid of his traditional armor and looking like nothing more than a man heading to get his vessel.
