Senate Hypocrisy

As the situation on Caluula continues to heat up, the question "Where is the Senate" in all this has continued to come to the forefront. Recently we've found out that the Imperial Senate has been stumbling over it's feet in a web of Hypocrisy that has so far prevented the Cronese Mandate from being able to take proper action in helping aid the injured Ethnic Cronese on Caluula, or coming to their aid in anyway. Reports indicate that the Cronese Mandate had been threatened by other worlds of the Senate, that if the Mandate took any action that involved troops landing on Caluula, they would attack the Mandate. Of course this threat comes from some of the most Hypocritical worlds out there, Anaxes among them, as it has been seen time and time before that other worlds have without second thought or even bringing their plans to the Senate, have acted in a manner that the Cronese Mandate seeks to do so now. What we took away from this all was simple. The rest of the worlds of the Senate are free to do as they please, yet sham on the Cronese Mandate for even daring to think of helping a minority that is being taken advantage of, and that the Cronese Mandate is open for attack for merely uttering the "foul" thought of offering aid to those that need it.

In a response to this, Lord Robeir, the ruler of the Cronese Mandate, had spoken to the people of the Mandate during a private transmission to the people of the Mandate. "Those other worlds would dare prevent us from taking action to help others, yet they see no problem in doing as they please. This is the Senate tripping over its feet, and it's clear that the Hypocrisy and Corruption that ran rampant in the Old Republic Senate is still alive and well in this new "Imperial" Senate, if you can even call it "Imperial." Strong words coming from the leader of the Mandate who has also seen time and time again the actions of other worlds that didn't even bring their plans to the attention of the Senate to state intentions before even acting, yet it is the Mandate that is now paying for it.

We have also gained a quote from Senator Ordan of Anaxes in response to the crisis on Caluula. "Anaxes expresses it's profound disinterest in the Cronese Mandate and the tedious petty Outer Rim Governments." It is clear that many Core World Senators feel the same about the worlds in the Outer Rim, though many fail to remember that it is the resources of the Outer Rim that fund and drive the machines that turn out the Core Worlds luxury items.
