After receiving a rude and overtly Egotistic dispatch from the Azure Interest Protection Squadron, stating that it would be traveling along the Greater Cronese Arc, It's become clear that the world of Axum is more interested in beating it's chest and clearly trying to state that no matter what the occasion, nor area of space, it will find a way to push itself into the situation and claim that it has an interest in it. While the people of the Cronese Mandate were concerned over the fact that warships from a Core World would be traveling through the Mandate, they otherwise could care less that they were traveling through the Sector.

We recently were able to get an interview with Lord Robeir XXII of the Cronese Mandate, when asked about the Axum fleet that is to be arriving in the Mandate and traveling along the Greater Cronese Arc, he had this to say. "Yeah, that's nice, not like the people of the Mandate are going to care about a bunch of 'shiney' ships from the Azure Interest Protection Squadron sent by Axum, they have better things to do than stare up at the sky"

With the situation on Caluula coming to an end, and hundreds of innocent men, women and children having died in the slaughter by the Caluula Government Forces, it has become clear that the Ethnic Cronese are becoming more difficult to protect on the various worlds where they are being prosecuted. Lord Robeir XXII spoke on the matter in a quick interview before he had to return to work. "We can't help all the Cronese everywhere, but we can help them and us too by making the Mandate a safe place for Cronese to live. We're focusing on ourselves" This is following a message that openly welcomed all Ethnic Cronese to return to the Mandate with the incentives of land and credits on the many uninhabited worlds in the Mandate that have vast amounts of land still untapped and kept safe by the Cronese Mandate.

With the Cronese Mandate Navy focusing more and more on vessels with Sector Protection capabilities compared to grand fleets that can project power over vast areas, the Government Company, Cronese Mandate Manufacturing Incorporated, has produced a new line of vessels, titled the Chandaar class Battleship to replace the Keldabe class Battleship that was the flag ship of the Mandate's 9th Defensive Fleet. The Chandaar class Battleship while being less armed compared to the Keldabe, is centered around the Sector Protection ideal. The vessel has shown that it is capable of standing on its own, while working with a fleet it has shown that it is a very capable command ship. While it lacks a fighter compliment that the Keldabe class had, it is capable of protecting itself from fighters.

It was also recently announced by CMMI that the designs for a pure fleet carrier is underway and should be in development soon.
