(( Since Jamie will be gone for a while, I am pressing on. ))

The Gentle Breeze dropped from hyperspace into the Deralia System, set up for the visit with the Deralian king and, hopefully, its senator as well. Stark did not reserve overmuch hope of catching both at the same time though. Instead, he signaled the yacht's pilot to go ahead and transmit the information necessary. "Deralia Control, this is private yacht Gentle Breeze requesting permission to enter orbit and deposit passenger to surface."

As the pilot was speaking, Stark was in motion towards the hatches that would take him to the Infinite Thought. The transport was functional enough to ferry him about where he needed to go, yet lacking the style and comforts he enjoyed; hence the use of the yacht. Additionally, he enjoyed the fighter escort carried by the yacht. For now though, it seemed as if there would be no need for such, seeing as how Deralia was in a peaceable state for the moment.

((Sorry for delaying on this, missed in the flurry of new threads.))

The Gentle Breeze was guided into a position that would not interfere with the military or civilian operations in orbit and beyond. Once the Infinite Thought was ready, it would be guided into Mithra Spaceport. In the enclosed Landing Pad it would be guided to, members of the Praetorian Guard, since the Moff's Stormtroopers weren't expected to pick up all of the Guard's duties, were awaiting the Royal guest. Behind the six awaiting Praetorian Guards, sat a modified Republic Troop Transport, which had been converted into a VIP transport. It was this vehicle that would take Alyn Stark from the Royal wing of the Mithra Spaceport, to the Royal Palace.

On Deralia, there was no need for combat droids, or the Shadowguard, though their protests had been vehement. Stark wouldn't have been the least surprised of Morthol wasn't aboard his ship somehow. The man's abilities were, well, terrifying. Stark mused, as he greeted the Praetorian Guards, that if he didn't trust Morthol as much as he did, he would have killed the man years ago. If he could, even. Gadrid Morthol could strike in ways Stark couldn't even begin to counter, at least initially. If Stark ever survived such an assault, then he was confident he could outdo his guard. Still... well, there were plenty of sparring sessions he went through with his trusted seven on a regular basis. He'd been slacking lately though, with all the visits.

Climbing into the vehicle, Stark composed himself for his visit with Deralia's leadership. Perhaps, in this case, he might be able to assist the world that was currently suffering in some ways.

The modified RTT zoomed through the city, being given clearance as it moved through the streets. The Praetorian Guard observed Stark, and felt he was an odd individual. None of them could get a read on him, which concerned all of them, but once he stepped out of the RTT, he was not their concern; that duty being passed on to Moff Levi's Stormtroopers. Stark would led by an elderly man, through the palace, to the Throne Room. "I fear we can not give you the full treatment we normally would, His Excellency, Moff Simon Levi, has deigned the Praetorian Guard be relieved of its duties in the palace. I am Chamberlain of the Royal Household, Cossus Laevinus Aurelius." he said, with a polite nod to Stark. As he walked him through the palace, he spoke to him. "Whether or not you follow it, is officially of your own accord due to being a foreigner, but the correct procedure when greeting the King and Queen, is upon entrance to the room, to bow with the head. Do not go so far as to hang the head, however. Do no approach the King and/or Queen, until being recognized, and upon becoming with their grace, one should bow from the waist, no farther than a forty-five degree angle. It is inadvisible to touch King or Queen, unless gestured to do so."

By the time he was done speaking, and taking Stark through security, he was finally admitted into the Throne Room. The King's throne sat empty, as did the Queen's. It was, however, Queen Deralius III, nonetheless, who would be greeting Stark, currently speaking to another elderly man near the thrones. "Your Majesty, I present to you, Alyn Stark Lord of Kinyov, Captain of the Republic Navy, Retired." called out the Chamberlain, but not before giving his bow. She looked his way before turning to the man she was speaking with. "Thank you, Publius. We shall continue this discussion, later," was all that was audible as the Tribune bowed, and moved to leave the room. As he did, she walked towards Stark. "Lord Stark, a pleasure to meet you," she said to him, with a smile.

Stark was indeed an odd individual in a number of both pleasant and unpleasant ways. He was also an odd and rather well-armed individual, who kept his weapons well hidden and unobtrusive. He listened well to the elderly escort, making sure he would be able to observe protocol and only breaking in when the Chamberlain mentioned Moff Levi's relieving of the Praetorian Guard in favor of stormtroopers to say, "It is a true shame, Chamberlain Aurelius, that Moff Levi has chosen such a course of action. As enamored as I am of our Emperor and the Empire, the white armor does clash with the splendor of the palace. Alas, the Moff knows best, one can only assume." At security, Stark deftly retrieved and turned over a pair of vibro-shivs, a jagged vibro-knife, four throwing knives and his DE-10 blaster pistol, handing them off for safekeeping with a smile.

Once inside the throne room and as the Chamberlain introduced him, Stark bowed his head at the proscribed angle to show deference and respect; then, as the Queen approached, he bowed from the waist, holding it a sufficient period of time before straightening, spreading his feet to shoulder width and clasping his hands behind his back in the militaristic pose that he felt conveyed respect and yet held a modicum of comfort. "Queen Deralius, it is an honor to be admitted into the throne room of your august majesty. I thank you for taking the time and effort to see me this day; I am sure your schedule is often busy and for you to place such import upon my words humbles me greatly."

She smiled and nodded to Stark, before walking, beckoning him to follow. Behind, and in-between, the spacing of the two thrones, stood a door, which as she approached, was opened by servants. Normally, the Praetorian Guard would do so, but with the Stormtroopers now occupying the palace, certain adjustments had to be made. It would open up into a beautiful and excellently maintained courtyard, with lush vegetation, seemingly a small model Deralian forest. The warm sun kissed their skin once they stepped out, through the doors, and the smell of the fresh air and grass was almost intoxicating, at least for her. She loved the natural beauty of her homeworld.

"I try to make time for anyone willing to see the majesty of my homeworld, Lord Stark. The fact that you wish to personally meet with me, rather than propose something through a simple holomessage indicates that you deeply care for this proposition. With my husband incapacitated, it was undeniable that I must travel to Deralia and meet with you in this manner. Now, tell me, what is it that you propose?" she asked, showing genuine interest in his ideas.

Stark reveled in the beauty of the small forest; it took him back to the small valley that was within the Kinyov Province; that area where his seat was at, and he closed his eyes for a long moment, taking it all in within his mind's eye before looking around again. "Deralia truly is beautiful, which is in part why I have come here. I feel as well, Your Majesty, that holomessages are too impersonal these days. A truly important matter should be dealt with in person.

"I have followed what some in the Senate have been attempting to do with Deralia. The stormtroopers, the sanctions, the threats. All of it causes a toll on your people and for what? A mistake that other worlds have made and not been punished for? Druckenwell attempts to drop a hammer on Monor II and walks away free. Alsakan postures and threatens and receives no punishment. I have come, Your Majesty, to propose a site for GalacticAid, the humanitarian foundation, be placed here on Deralia. Once the Senate and the galaxy see that Deralia is in full support of humanitarian ends, I do not believe they can viably keep the sanctions coming against your world."

She smiled as he spoke. "You are a rare man, Lord Stark. The galaxy needs more like you... I think if the Senate had a few more like you, we might be living in a better galaxy than we are now. Perhaps something for you to consider in the future?" she said, looking at him with a slightly cocked eyebrow, gauging his reaction to the suggestion. It was indeed, the first personal meeting she had had with anyone not from Deralia in over ten years... as long as any others went just as well, she could possibly enjoy her time as Senator again.

"It does cause a toll, Lord Stark, but we are a resilient people. And we will remember those that opposed us legitimately, and those that did so for mere political gain. But enough of politics! You have come here on business. Tell me about GalacticAid, I'm afraid picking up from where Senator Veritas left off has left me little time to research or catch up on more modern things, such as your organization."

Hearing the Queen's comment about the Senate, Stark chuckled and covered his face in mock horror. "Your Majesty, I was involved in politics on Lorrd for a time as the former head of House Malos; one of the three ruling houses. That was my last truly political posting, one might say, and one I was all too willing to turn over to a good and trusted friend. While I can admit that I might have a good voice within the Senate, that would require me to replace Senator Lekpin of Lorrd. While I don't like the man personally because he was appointed by one of the rival houses, he's a competent senator and I'd be loathe to run against him.

"But about GalacticAid, Your Majesty, it is a completely nonprofit organization designed to help and assist any refugees from any natural disaster or armed conflict, as well as any natural disaster. It's an organization that is intended to work around armed conflicts without the need of force itself. The best part is that the facilities for aid and housing need not be paid for by any planet's government unless they wish to pay; it's all from the private sector."

"Well then, since politics are in your past, then at least you are making a difference in your own way as a private citizen. I appreciate the goals of GalacticAid; your cause is very close to my heart, I've participated in similar efforts in the past. If I may, while Deralia is more than willing to lend a site for GalacticAid, I'd like to take it a step forward, and lend Deralia's services as a partner in the GalacticAid effort. On top of financial support, we can offer anything from logistical support to personnel, and anything in-between and beyond. What do you say?" she said to him, observing the garden rather than him as she did so. It was nice, to move back into her old role. The champion of humanitarian causes... if only Padmé were here, she would've been helpful in the opening weeks of her return to the Senate; she would've been of even more help the past nine keeping sanity in the Senate.

As she thought back on her old friend, she reached down into a planter, and picked a small, white flower. They were the same flowers that had been laid into Padmé's hair for her funeral, and were, fittingly, of a sweet smell. She sniffed the flower, drawing a smile to her face, as her eyes closed for a moment, embracing the moment. It was perhaps, odd for Stark to witness, and even seemingly a bit eccentric, possibly evoking fears of her being another Ja'nar Cerra. She was a being who believed in enjoyed a moment, and merely living their life. It did come to her notice thought that her behavior was perhaps, inappropriate. "I apologize, Lord Stark. Entering a humanitarian effort has brought back some memories; this flower, imported from Naboo, has a scent that is of a particularly significant memory," she explained, without expanding further.

"I find it very honorable, Your Majesty, that Deralia is willing to commit so much in matters of help to GalacticAid. I will gladly accept Deralia as a partner in GalacticAid, the same as I will any world who wishes to do more than simply house a facility. GalacticAid is an organization that will bring worlds and races and all manner of beings together under the common cause of aiding those who are less fortunate and have been struck down by tragedy. Your help - Deralia's help, Your Majesty, will be greatly, greatly appreciated in the coming months."

Stark did indeed find the fleeting moment curious; not odd though. Augusta Aurelius was no flamboyant, wild Cerra, nor was she an overly formal volFyr. Instead, the Queen seemed to be somewhere in the middle, a curious blend that turned out well. Of course, this was based solely of his single, brief meeting with her thus far. "There is no need to apologize, Your Majesty. One needs never apologize for finding beauty or recalling a memory in something as simple yet complex as a flower."
