The Fourth Stop: Dantooine

| Dantooine, the little backwater world, was indeed a pleasant sight from orbit. Stark was looking forward to meeting with Senator Exar Ray about the upcoming GalacticAid encampment to be hopefully placed upon its surface. Once again, the yacht would request clearance to remain in orbit while Stark took his personal transport down to Garang Field where, ideally, he would find a transport waiting from the Senator or, if need be, arrange his own transport. This would be a nice break from the fancy receptions and the like he had seen so far; if anything, it would be a breath of fresh air.

| Preparations were indeed underway as the Khoonda Administration prepared for the arrival of the representative of this GalacticAid that ran so much within the Senate. Landing clearance would be given to the Lord and the designated hanger would be transmitted with the coordinates on how to land there. Once the Lord would land, he would find Exar and his closest administration staff awaiting.

| Emerging from the YV-666 freighter Infinite Thought, an odd choice perhaps as a personal transport, a glimpse would be given into its interior, which at the moment was filled with an Eta-2 interceptor, a pair of combat droids of curious make and a small speeder bike strapped against one wall. Stark himself was dressed rather low-tech, with a brown duster and nondescript black pants and shirt. He smiled in greeting as he made his way down the ramp and to Senator Ray and his staff.
"Senator Ray! A pleasure to see you on this fine Dantooine day. I must say, your world is in fine form and I am more than pleased to be a guest upon it. How fares your health, Senator?"

| A speeder would appear with a member of the Militia driving it. A few more speeders would arrive as Exar would shake Lord Stark's hand. "My health is rather fine, Mr. Stark. Being the Senator and Administrator of such a calm planet does wonders, but politics themselves within Imperial Center does take it's toll on your stress levels." He'd lead the group towards the convoy of speeders, with Exar and Stark getting into the first one and the staff getting into the rest of the speeders. Once everyone was in, they'd proceed to head towards the Administration Building. "I must say, GalacticAid will sure to be of use. Reading over it, I must say that I am excited to see it being putting to use." Exar would comment.

| Accepting Ray's hand, he shook it firmly before heading towards the speeders. Settling himself comfortably inside, Stark breathed a happy sigh, closing his eyes for a moment as he enjoyed the feel of the supple leather seat. "I imagine Imperial Center is quite the hair-raising place. Far too much noise and bustle and the politics... well, you are a braver man than I, Senator. I had my chance at the political realm on Lorrd and I am quite glad I stepped away.
"GalacticAid is something I am overjoyed to see you embracing; it was a shame you could not make it to Lorrd for the dinner I hosted, but this is almost as good. To be honest, I am surprised to see it met with no resistance in the Senate. Of course, I also saw that certain... hardline senators, shall we call them? Cambrist, Oswaldt, Ordan, to name a few, did not support it either. Thankfully, you and many others did. That, of course, is why I am here. I would like to erect such an outpost on your world."

| Ray would nod a bit as he pondered the thought. "We can work out a deal, Lord Stark." Exar would comment, looking over the vast fields that laid before him. "We can put an outpost far from the towns and the farms here on Dantooine. Healing is best served away from people; an isolated state if you call it." The speeders would pull into the garage of the Administration building, and Exar would see himself and Stark out of their speeder, as they would climb the stairs. "No doubt that the hardliners such as Ordan and friends are tough cookies... who's only alliance is to the credit and filling their own pockets." He'd speak as they would enter the floor and proceed down a small hallway and emerge into a meeting room, where drinks and snacks were awaiting. "Have a seat, Lord Stark. I'm interested to hear your voice in the matter of your outpost."

| "This I can fully agree with, Senator. After all, each GalacticAid compound is designed to fit large numbers of people, and I do not wish there to be any animosity between locals and those who come to GalacticAid for help." Entering the Administration Building with Ray and settling down into the meeting room, Stark would continue the conversation. "It is a shame such senators are so self-serving. Ordan... well, I shall save my opinion on him, sir." Stark chuckled slightly and shook his head before preparing to settle down to business, so to speak. "Tell me then, Senator Ray, what exactly would you hear first? There are my ideal guidelines for facility construction and then, of course, there is what each world will allow or not allow."

| "Well, Senator," Stark paused to smile for a moment, glancing around the room, "The basic setup for GalacticAid requires ten square miles of land. This ensures the facility being distant from other habitations, as well as providing space for the numerous tools employed by GalacticAid. Construction itself would need to be coordinated with the project manger overseeing construction, but conceivably could begin within a month. Capacity for each facility, or at least what I am aiming for, is one thousand residents. The compound itself will be walled, to prevent issues, and include above ground habitation, storage facilities, landing pads for shuttles and so forth, as well as a subterranean medical facility."

| "In terms of employment, would Dantooine citizens be able to acquire jobs at this facility? I believe strongly in employing the planet's citizens beforehand rather then bringing in others from different planet. I know many good doctors and other types of medically qualified individuals that are looking for work. Plus we can provide janitors and what not for this facility, honest people looking for work, Lord Stark." Ray would lean back in his chair as he listened to Stark speak. "We can set you up with a lot a few miles outside of Garang, where you will have peace and quiet."

| "But of course. Dantooine natives are more than welcome to seek employment, so long as they understand facility management will be conducted through specified GalacticAid agents. Of course, there will be an extensive background check on all workers to ensure that no criminals are employed. As an aid organization, GalacticAid must be very, very careful about who it allows to work within it. After all, every facility is a guest on its host planet, and it would not do to have the name and nature sullied through bad actions. The choice of lot seems quite fair as well."

| "Naturally, Lord Stark." From behind the man, a folder would appear in front of him, in the form of one of Exar's aids. "In that folder you'll find the paperwork needed in order to get GalacticAid established here on Dantooine. Of course the laws of Dantooine shall govern if an issue happens, and the natural fees that are applied when purchasing a lot." He'd stand up to his feet. "Is there anything else?" The Senator would say, before rising to his feet.

| Rising as well, Stark collected the papers within the folder. "I will have my aide fill these out and sent to you with all haste, Senator. And of course, GalacticAid is subject to Dantooine's laws and regulations should a criminal matter occur; however, I do not see such happening, at least with any luck. I can think of nothing else at this time, Senator. Thank you for seeing me on such short notice."
