The Divine Shadow plunged through hyperspace, the stars a blur around the craft. From his place in the command tower, Shiva watched it blow past from a feed of the bridge cameras. The Separatist High Commander was half-slumped in his chair; recent weeks of inactivity since his clever tricks that had driven Valin Rall from his base had been filled with tedious waiting. The Libs had not held an operation or contacted him in some time, and he was beginning to wonder exactly how he would continue his campaign, or whether it would be a better time to slowly fade into obscurity with his wealth, leaving the fight behind. His indomitable will was fading fast for the endless fight and running; there were no worlds he could escape to in the Core; none he would want to go to either. He was from the Rim, and on the Rim he would stay. Perhaps, though, there was still one or two last fights in him. It was a matter of where to strike was the issue.

Shiva still followed the news from Coruscant; with the troubles in the Cronese Mandate and the constant alliances forming, it was growing harder and harder to evade notice in the galaxy. With planets continually building their fleets and armies, he felt as if making any full commitment to attack a world would be placing his vessels in a position he could not afford to do. Separatists were becoming a movement of the past and as much as he hated to admit it, he was too. Rebellion didn't seem like such a noble cause anymore in some ways; the Separatist movement was one thing, but the operations the Libs were running? He gave them merit for their tenacity, but in the end, they'd wind up as lost and crushed as the remnants of the C.I.S. had been.

Lost in his thoughts, Shiva felt a shiver course down his spine and looked up, scanning the room. His Force ability had touched on something, or perhaps something had touched on him. He rose slowly from his chair, glancing around, but he could not place the feeling. It had come from close though, close enough to be on this ship. Had it been just in his mind? That was possible, after all. He was neither trained or used to the Force; it was there at times when he needed it and not there at times. Shaking his head slightly, Shiva started to pace. His thoughts turned back and his mood darkened, leaving him brooding. He would not leave without a statement; that much was for sure.
