Carrying the documents provided to him, Savrek leaned back in his chair that he had set up on the bridge of the CR90 corvette. A motion of the hand, and a nod of the head to his crew was all they needed when it came to an order. The vessel dropping from hyperspace near Monor II. Six Z-95 Headhunters formed up on each side of the CR90, their eyes set upon the Cardan II class Spacestation that was orbiting the world. The set of vessels formed up into a flight path, their concussion missile launchers aimed at the station, targeting the power systems, and weapon systems, as well as the hanger bays of the station. The first attack meant to cripple the station, as it was unlikely it had it's weapons ready and its shields up expecting an attack.

The CR90 lead in the six Z-95s, their missile launchers locking on as the CR90 let off a quick burst of two concussion missiles, targeted at the primary power systems. The warhead of the missile first pushing the missile through the armor before it detonated on the inside with a second more violent explosion. Two of the Z-95s took aim at the primary hanger controls, firing one concussion missile each at their target, the missiles striking and tearing through the controls in an attempt to force the shutters on the hanger bay to shut and lock down, preventing the fighters on the inside from getting out. While the other four each fired one concussion missile, aimed at primary weapon systems. The Missiles striking against each of the targets and tearing through them. The CR90 followed up its attack with a burst of fire from its Twin Turbolaser Cannon Turret, along with two Single Turbolaser Cannon Turrets and two Ion Cannon Turrets. Targeting primary systems and unleashing a heavy burst of fire at the weapon systems and life support of the station.

The six Z-95s followed suit as they aimed their laser cannons at the life support system of the station, unleashing a rapid fire burst before pulling off. The explosions of the hits being seen by the pilots that formed up with the CR90 to prepare for another run on the station.

(( A challenge has been made, and management has agreed it's not sporting for Druckenwell to have so much firepower at Monor II as a matter of happenstance. The explanation about Druckenwell's tour of the system is understood, and it's acceptable for Ryuun and his ships to be in the immediate area of Monor II (1 to 2 posts distant). However, the point about Eclipse not doing a scouting raid is well-taken, and arriving at Monor II "guns blazing" isn't sporting either—Druckenwell can have one ship at Monor II as a result; one of Druckenwell's Tartan-class patrol cruisers would be logical. ))

(( More than fair enough. I'll agree that the Tartan is in-system for a reason of checking on the scientists at the station. Since I have to repost, I am assuming, I'm going to change a few things though; freebies that I gave to Eclipse originally largely because I had more ships than him there. ))

The Eclipse pirates were wrong on several accounts; partially through a tremendous lack of scouting ability that would have benefited them greatly, and partly through an apparent lack of knowledge. At the moment, the Cardan-II's shields were up; not because it expected trouble, but because there were no craft transferring aboard and because having shields in place helped defer strikes from micro-meteorites all the way up to slightly larger pieces of space debris, especially portions of the Arquetins-class frigates that Monor II had self-destructed, and had been seen drifting past. One could also argue that the prior tense feeling had not gone fully away from the Druckenwellian workers, especially with the detonation of the gifted vessels to Monor II that were intended to help defend the station. Nonetheless, Senator Lomen Ryuun was due quite soon for a visit, and it was also for this reason in particular; the Senator conducting a goodwill tour of the sector prior to attending the Chandaar blockade, that things were in tip-top shape.

It was for this reason that, prior to Senator Ryuun's visit with his single escort vessel, the Tartan-class patrol cruiser Monsoon was on station to ensure things were running smoothly and to organize the greeting and escort which would include the station's two squadrons of TIE fighters and quartet of Lambda-class shuttles doing some fancy acrobatics and such. It was for this reason that, when Eclipse dropped out of hyperspace, his CR90's sensors might well note that there were twenty-eight small craft, as well as a larger, two-hundred and fifty meter vessels near the station, a station that, as he'd soon come to learn, was not actually orbiting Monor II, as he might have known had he sent a scouting patrol. Instead, he and his six Headhunters wasted valuable minutes and the element of surprise on a station that wasn't actually in orbit where he was searching, but more than three-hundred kilometers distant and on the very edge of Monor II's influence.

All of this would lead to the fact that both station and the Monsoon would notice the activity, as soon as they emerged in fact, for they were expecting Senator Ryuun, and all trade vessels had been deferred to the far side of Monor II for the next several hours; the Druckenwell cirrifog transport freighters, of which there were five presently, were docked at the station itself for now. The captain of the Monsoon hailed the CR90 moments after it emerged and began flying some strange pattern, presumably searching Monor II's orbit for the station. "Unknown vessel with Headhunter escort, you are presently in the expected flight path of Senator Lomen Ryuun of Druckenwell. Advise you come about to heading six-zero-zero." The advised heading would take the CR90 on a reverse course and around the planet, where the elements of other shipping companies, including Dorvalla Universal and the LGMC currently were housed; their own transports in orbit and all.

For the moment, obviously, the Eclipse pirates would not be able to simply swoop in and attack, but might well be forced to revise their strategy. Of course, they could always push the attack now, but the element of surprise would be lost. Either way, their initial planned assault would not be able to occur, largely because of a marked lack of scouting and foresight.

Just a note in here, I authorize Adam to RP the Monor II defences (as per the defence agreement) with my oversight. While I am fit to post now it's always good to lighten the load a little as I recover. I'll be keeping an eye out and will step in if I think they're being RPed inappropriately.))

After being hailed, the vessel would send off a reply, a set of Letters of Marque that had been issued to the Eclipse pirates from Monor II, with the station (which seems to constantly change its placement in being in then not being in orbit around Monor II), being the primary target of the raid due to its standing as a druckenwell property as outlined in the letters of marque. The vessels would then fire on any debris within their immediate flight path before each jumping to hyperspace and leaving the system. Making quicker jumps afterwards to ensure that they would not be tracked.

The station, which never was in orbit of Monor II by its original configuration and placed where it was for an agreement between Monor II and Druckenwell, was rather puzzled by the Letters of Marque. The station commander, quite unsure of what to do with them, forwarded a copy to his commander in the Druckenwell Security Forces, a copy to Senator Ryuun's office and a copy to Monor II's control, requesting clarification of the letters. Until further action was taken, no reprisals would be had. The curious ship would be documented and recorded for a later time.
