War on Slovo

KANZ CITY- Word has come in from Destrando City that the mining guilds that clashed in earlier weeks have now fallen into open warfare. News from Destrando City has been spotty since the last incident involving a clash between Argazdan and Lorrdian mining guilds, but recent reports indicate that Destrando City has become a war zone, with the human and Lorrdian mining guilds siding against the Ugnaught-supported Argazdan mining guilds. There has been no word from Guildmaster Tiberius Lophan (Lorrd) or Guildmaster Tolicerian Pavat (Argazda), but the situation may have larger consequences than a simple mining clash. Representative Roman Lekpin of Lorrd stated that, "[Lorrd] will not hesitate to assist their families and comrades within the Kanz Sector who are simply trying to feed their families. If armed intervention is the only answer the brutish Argazdans will understand, then so be it. We will not sit by idly while our people are slaughtered by these slavers a second time." The Argazdan representative was not available for comment.

In light of this news, Moff Kanzad Shirnoq has dispatched a small task force to safeguard the moon of Slovo Minor and ensure that production is not halted on the moon. When asked if he intends to step in and exercise force, Moff Shirnoq stated, "The Argazdan and Lorrdian people have held a grudge for thousands of years since the Lorrdians were enslaved by the Argazdans. Nonetheless, I will not step in and simply punish both sides until I can determine who the culprit is who started the incidents that led to this issue. At this time, the Empire will not be committing any forces to Destrando City."

Tes'jar Calls for Heightened Security

ELLIAS- The agricultural world Tes'jar has called for heightened security in response to word of the conflict on Destrando City. As one of the primary agriworlds of the Kanz Sector, the human minority fears that, with an Argazdan majority on the world, Tes'jar may become involved in the fighting on Slovo. Planetary governor Memphis Bracus has responded to a multitude of pleas that security be tightened around Tes'jar. "We want no part in a Lorrdian-Argazdan conflict," Governor Bracus said in a press conference early this morning, "I am sure the Argazdans workers and officials on Tes'jar understand that serving the Empire is the best thing we all can do in this time of crisis. Our hearts go out to any who have lost family members on Destrando City, and we hope the conflict comes to an end soon."

Lorrd Engineering Plans Expansion

KOL HURO II- Lorrd Engineering, the successful Outer Rim company known for producing ships, armaments and droids is planning an expansion of its Kol Huro II shipyard facilities in the upcoming year. With profits on the rise, despite competition from other Outer Rim yards such as Sluis Van Shipyards and Druckenwell Shipyards, Lorrd Engineering plans to expand further. During a recent press conference, Lorrd Engineering spokesman Jerrod Phelps stated, "Lorrd Engineering has been on the rise for some time. We're far from the plateau that some of the Core Worlds companies such as Kuat Drive Yards seem to be doing. They've cornered the market for what they do, and they do it quite well, after all, but stagnation tends to sit in eventually. We've kept ahead of the curve by lowering prices and continuing to create excellent vessels."

Amaltanna Prepares to Honor Clone War Heroes

AMALTANNA- Once the sight of of the infamous Impregnable Fortress owned by now-deceased traitor Baron Edi Wedd, the former barren world, now repopulated, is preparing to honor those who fell in battle against Baron Wedd and his battle droid forces. The former Impregnable Fortress has now been converted on the exterior to be a shrine for those died to free Amaltanna from Separatist influence, and many in the Kanz Sector are expected to make a pilgrimage to the planet in remembrance of those who were lost.
