-= [Alyn Stark] "But of course, Senator. I hardly expect you to make all decisions without consulting those on your homeworld. It is not as if the GalacticAid movement will die in the time that you require to contact them." Stark gestured towards the expansive open bar and the food. "Please, you and Riley may be more than welcome to eat your fill. Tell me, Senator, your husband is a curious man. Is he nobility as well? I do not see him around Imperial Center much, and I tend to try to keep an eye out for celebrities, so to speak, or at least family of important folk."

Ilanah_Thanatos glanced to Riley, who was still trying to work his (lack of) magic on the ladies that Stark had with him. "I am to depart for home tomorrow, so you will have an answer within the next few days, I am sure." she assured him. As they sat, Ilanah looked to him when he asked about Kal. "Oh no....he is not nobility. His time on Imperial Center is very....uh....limited at times. His job requires him to travel the galaxy often. Though he does get to accompany me on most of my trips."

-= [Alyn Stark] The Echani and the black-haired Hapan female were soon joined by the third female within the Shadowguard, a red-haired Malkii who joined in the hapless teasing of poor Riley. It was the time-honored game of harmless flirting, and Stark was never one to put constraints on his people, especially these seven, who served in so much more than simple guards. "I appreciate the prompt nature of your response on that, Senator Thanatos. Your husband travels a lot, you say? That is a shame. He has the Imperial feel to him though, so if I had to hazard a guess, I would say... ISB? Imperial Intelligence? Haha. No, don't tell me, as I am sure you cannot, Senator. It is simply fun to try and guess certain secret professions. He might well be an Imperial trade minister, for all I know."

Ilanah_Thanatos hesitated for a moment. He was wanting to know an awful lot about Kal, but he was right, he did have a very "Imperial" feel about him. "No no, neither...to all of your guesses." She said as she plucked a berry from one of the fruit bowls and took a bite of it. In the back of her mind, she was sure that he would likely not guess Kal's profession, not that it was that much of a secret. The Inquisitorious was the Empire's worst kept secret. And if the opportunity arose, Kal would not hesitate to show his full power in front of anyone that he needed to.

-= [Alyn Stark] "Ah, well. The Empire has far too many professions working for it for me to guess which he is. Some type of important official is the best I can come up with. Alas, it is naught but a simple game of the mind to pass the time. I do the same when I imagine what sort of woman Cambrist or Ordan would marry and what they would do. It's rather amusing in some cases. Of course, I shall never be married, so it gives me a slight edge in the game."

Ilanah_Thanatos "I imagine Senator Ordan would marry some docile woman...one who wanted nothing more than to take care of a husband." She said thoughtfully. "And Cambrist....I am unsure." Ilanah smiled some and leaned back in her seat. "I know that Governor Oswaldt would marry a blonde....perhaps two or three....and live in polygamous bliss." She joked some. "You won't marry? How sad. I suppose it isn't for all. When I divorced Kal, I never thought I would marry again....I didn't want to, actually. Of course there was dating, but my work was always more important." All of her work, rebellion included, even though she was not permitted to do anything with it anymore.

-= [Alyn Stark] "Oh, I can agree on Ordan and Oswaldt. Cambrist? Probably someone shrewd and pinch-faced who was ice cold that he could consider as a business partner." Stark chuckled and shook his head. "Marriage for me would simply cause more problems than it would be worth. I am of little station, being an Outer Rim noble despite my wealth, but it does not mean I do not have my... encounters." His eyes flickered across the room to the white-haired Echani, who was still playfully baiting Riley.

Ilanah_Thanatos looked over her shoulder when she saw where his gaze went to. Interesting. "I can understand that. Things this time around with Kal have been....well...difficult. Not because...well...yes, because of his job and my job and he is just fiercely protective. And now that we are having a baby..." She trailed off for a moment and directed her gaze back to Stark. "Sorry. This probably is a terribly boring topic of conversation."

-= [Alyn Stark] "Of course! How can I forget?" Stark clapped a hand to his forehead and sighed. "Congratulations on your upcoming newborn, Senator Thanatos. I feel certainly rude for not having said it earlier; it is no stranger to me, after all, that you were pregnant. I do not know how it skipped my mind. Well, between you and Senator Cerra, the Senate shall be full of new life, no? Though I daresay you are further along than she is."

Ilanah_Thanatos smiled some. "any day now, actually. Hence the returning to Chandrila. It is the best place for all of us." She paused for a moment and watched the man thoughtfully. "Would you like to visit Chandrila some time soon, Lord Stark? I would be happy to host a visit, and perhaps we could take some time to choose the site for your Galactic Aide facility." She was sure that the council would have no problem with it, as long as it blended in with the Chandrilian architecture.

-= [Alyn Stark] "I would gladly accept your offer of the visit to Chandrila. I cannot say that I have ever been before. Hm. Before we go, I would switch from this yacht to a slightly older model, though. I see no need for all the security on this one for a quick visit. It will take only a day or two for my PLY 3000 to be here. Once it arrives, I can swap vessels and we can be on our way. If you wish, you and your husband and Riley may take my vessel with me. I am confident it is... a tad faster, shall we say, than your ship."

Ilanah_Thanatos stayed silent for a moment. "Kal has some business to attend at the Imperial Palace, I believe, and then he could follow in our ship when he is finished." She bit her lip lightly and looked to Riley again. he would argue, but as long as Stark didn't mind him checking security, he might be fine. "I hardly understand the difference between>
ships, Lord Stark. so it would not matter to me either way. Ours is very fast, a custom build from Krandor Industries. It made Kal light up like a kid at Christmas."

-= [Alyn Stark] Stark would not mind at all; of course, that wasn't an invitation to go poking around on everything on Stark's yacht, and Riley would be watched more carefully than he might believe. Nonetheless, Stark was amiable about the idea. "Krandor Industries has nothing on some of the vessels I own, Senator. I can assure you of that. Lorrd Engineering builds much finer vessels and indeed, modified the SoroSuub designs which I fly. That is not to say, though, that Krandor Industries is bad! No, never to say that, simply less efficient in some manners than others. Just as Lorrd Engineering could not match KDY for sheer warships, certain yards cannot match us for modification skills."

Ilanah_Thanatos listened to him quietly, though he was speaking Greek to her right now. "I will defer to your expertise on this, Lord Stark. As I said...ships are a foreign language to me. I don't fly....I don't even have a license to drive a speeder!" She admitted with a smile. "I'm the passenger type." It wasn't that she was trying to be overly feminine or didn't think she could, she just had no desire or need to learn any of that.

-= [Alyn Stark] "Hardly expertise, Senator, more a love of study. I can't build them, that is for sure. I certainly can't program them. Flying is another matter. Of course, I was raised with such, and the Republic Navy had a hand in helping. It's not for everybody though, and nobody would expect a Senator to have to fly themselves about. Pilot a speeder, perhaps... but not fly diplomatic craft. That's the pleasant upside of power, one can assume."

Ilanah_Thanatos "Ilanah....you can call me Ilanah. Senator seems like such a formal title that just belongs in certain places and circles. It is just you and i here....and well..." She motioned to the guards, who were still talking about who knows what. "all of that aside....i really think that you will like Chandrila. It is very serene there. I miss it. very much...so I am thankful to be returning. The bustle of Imperial center can be too much at times."

-= [Alyn Stark] "Well, if I am to call you Ilanah, you must call me Alyn. This 'Lord Stark' business gets tiring so quickly. As I told Senator Cambrist, who seems obsessed with titles, my own insignificant title is not worth much to me, and I'd much rather be called by my first name." Stark stood, making his way to the bar and deftly filled a glass with mineral water and ice cubes before returning to his seat. "The bustle of Imperial Center is indeed quite... well, as you said, too much, which leaves us with places such as Chandrila, which I haven't been to, but if it anything like Naboo, I'm sure I would enjoy it."

Ilanah_Thanatos sighed. "Alright, Alyn." She said. "Naboo is beautiful, that is for certain. I honeymooned there....twice, so I must say that i like it." she said briefly. "But it has nothing on Chandrila, certainly. But I am perhaps a bit biased, since it is my home." Ilanah pulled herself to her feet so that she might stretch her legs a moment. "What of your home? I do not know much about it, despite the brief visit before.

-= [Alyn Stark] "Oh, if Naboo has nothing on Chandrila, then I shall certainly look forward to seeing it." Stark stood as well, stretching upwards, then to the left, followed by the right. "And Lorrd, you ask? What would you hear? Of the Kinyov Province that I am lord of? Or of Lorrd itself? Much of its history has been one of oppression, but it has recovered in the last thousand years or so. Hardly as pleasant as Naboo or Chandrila, one can assume, but it is a sight of great academic knowledge."

Ilanah_Thanatos walked over to one of the windows and looked down at the planet that they were orbiting. "Lorrd, I suppose. Or all of it. whatever you wish to tell." She smiled some as she looked at the glimmering lights of Imperial center. for a brief moment, she wondered where kal was and what he was doing there. Getting orders, perhaps. Or giving up information he had learned on one of their trips.

-= [Alyn Stark] "Lorrd is a confusing planet, especially with politics. With three ruling families that run the world by majority vote, things can get... heated, one might say. Assassination isn't common, mind you, and of course, no Lorrdian ruling member would ever assassinate a visitor; it's simply not done. However, I am free game, one might say, and while I have removed myself from Lorrdian politics, not all people believe I have done so permanently. But don't let that dissuade you. Lorrdians are quite cultured, enjoying the theater, art and prizing knowledge above all else. The Kanz Sector these days seems as if it may become.. quite the hot zone. Have you been following the news from the Kanz Sector, Ilanah?"

Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head as she continued to admire the view. "No I have not, to be honest. I apologize....I've just returned from Derailia for a time." She said, referring to her visit with Titus Veritas. She should have perhaps kept more caught up on the news, but she hadn't done so. "I should have been paying more attention. What has been going on?"

-= [Alyn Stark] "The Argazdan and Lorrdian mining guilds on Destrando City have fallen from arguing to actual warfare. I fear that the Argazdans, who enslaved the Lorrdian people in ancient times, will rise up again and use this conflict to promote a civil war in the Kanz Sector. It's all quite troubling, especially from a political standpoint. Ideally, it will not come to that though. The sector Moff, Moff Shirnoq, is a reasonable man."

Ilanah_Thanatos turned from the window as he spoke. "But what will happen if it does? what would you do?" she asked, thinking the situation over some. She could not offer to sent aide, as Chandrila had no ships. Aside from that, the council would likely not allow that. "It is good that the sector Moff is a reasonable man, but...." she would hesitate briefly. "Sometimes Moffs are not exactly what they seem, I suppose."

-= [Alyn Stark] "What will happen? I will defend my province, if they land troops on Lorrd, and if they attack my world... well, I shall defend her as any good Lorrdian would. Despite not being political, I would be wrong not to act in defense of my home. It is still up in the air though, and largely constrained to Destrando City. Hopefully it will go no further, but unless it is stopped soon, who can say?"

Ilanah_Thanatos frowned some. "I hate the idea of war. Then again, war is waged every day, isn't it Alyn?" She asked as she moved closer. While he had fixed himself a drink, she chose a simple tea and dropped a small cube of ice in it to cool it down just a tad. "Your representative is....Mr. Lekpin, yes? Could he bring it to the senate floor? Perhaps more could be done to diffuse the situation before it does get worse."

-= [Alyn Stark] "Representative Lekpin was House Garth's chosen representative, at least for this term. However, he's done well enough that even were House Malos to not back him, the other two ruling houses would do so. Suffice to say, I don't like the man as I don't like House Garth, but Lekpin is effective. I am sure he would bring it before the Senate, if it escalated to an inter-sector civil war. However, the conflicts currently on Destrando City are between mining guilds; as the Argazdans have not directly interfered on Destrando City yet, we have chosen to wait, as I can only assume. Let them fight it out on a smaller scale, as terrible as it sounds, for if the blood feud can be halted at that level, less deaths are preferable. The problem is the racial hatreds. The Argazdans will always see us as their slaves, and any Lorrdian patriot would jump at the chance to bloody an Argazdan nose for the crimes of the past. It's all terribly convoluted and equally pointless, I fear."

Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "I apologize, I did not know that you do know like him. i know little of him myself, aside from the fact that he seems like a decent man. a good, Imperial man, at that." She said before she settled herself back into a nearby seat with her tea. "It is sad to me that anyone has to die over something that seems so silly, though I am sure that it is not silly to them at all

-= [Alyn Stark] "Oh, you are correct. Lekpin is a decent man, a fair judge and a very pro-Imperial supporter, as am I. My dislike of him is on a personal level and not professional. Fortunately, Mr. Lekpin and I do not interact on a personal level." Relaxing more, Stark closed his eyes for a moment. "It strikes me as silly as well. For now, they are trying to discern who began the problems between the guilds. If it can be found who was at fault before it escalates, the Imperial authorities will step in. Right now, they are unwilling to cross a civilian matter, as they see it."

Ilanah_Thanatos looked interested suddenly. "who would the Empire send to handle something like that?" She asked before she sipped her tea. being from Chandrila, she didn't know what kind of peacekeeper they might send. When their ships were taken, she was just a young girl and she didn't remember how it had happened, she just remembered that her father was in an uproar, along with other council members.

-= [Alyn Stark] "To handle the investigation? Or to break up the fight and punish whomever is at fault? I suppose it differs. The localized Imperial Security Bureau office may be looking into it, but with Destrando City being a war zone, it is truly hard to contact one guildmaster or the other. It's likely why the Moff is waiting to see if it expands beyond the borders of Slovo; that is the planet that Destrando City floats above. Many other planets within the Ereesus System are battening down the hatches, so to speak, but if anything happens, I doubt it will be in that system. The sector capital is located within the Ereesus System, after all. No, if it happens, it will happen elsewhere."

Ilanah_Thanatos "I hope that it does not come to that, Alyn, I really do." She said. "Have you thought about running for senate? I think you would make a good politician." He seemed neutral enough to do well...not on the edge of rebellion, but not as terrifyingly Imperial as some Senators were. "Few have the talent to do it, I daresay, even fewer are already holding senate seats. Though I do not think they are there due to elections, but to appointment."

-= [Alyn Stark] "Ah, but therein lies the problem, Ilanah. Lorrd already has representation in the Senate from Roman Lekpin. I would have to win the localized elections on Lorrd first and then be accepted into the Senate. Besides, were I to do such, I would not be able to oversee the companies I own, much less manage the Kinyov Province. I may be willing to give it a shot though, if I had the backing. It's been some time since I was involved in politics, and I stepped down from ruler ship of House Malos so I would not become embroiled in them again."

Ilanah_Thanatos knew nothing but politics, as she had gone to school for that purpose, then elected by her people and the council. She knew that she disappointed them though, but her votes were to protect them, not to speak out like her predecessor had. "I would offer my support if you did, Alyn." She said simply as she sat her half empty tea cup down on the table. "Not that it would help much, but i am in good standing in the senate."

-= [Alyn Stark] "Oh, I appreciate it, Ilanah, and in the close of this Senatorial year, I may make a bid on Lorrd to work out such, or at least attempt. Then again, I have come to love my private life not being poked and prodded into by every person and their sister with a holocam for the news. Your lives are not so private, unfortunately, and few Senators have the freedom they wish. Plus, my personal wealth would likely make me the object of some issues, considering some of the things I spend upon. True, I am a humanitarian and I believe in taking care of the less fortunate, but I do not spare expense when it comes to my comfort as well."

Ilanah_Thanatos "I have found that keeping a low profile keeps the holocams out of ones face. Partying and making a spectacle of yourself, however, does not. I have seen that happen a few times before." She said. "I was worried about my freedom as well, but it seems that...well, maybe I have more than most. I am not sure. It is because of Kal, though. We do live incredibly comfortably. You will see on your visit. By the way, I insist you stay at the manor....and not in some hotel."

-= [Alyn Stark] "So your husband is of higher station than I had first guessed. A shame I was incorrect. But I would be glad to remain at your manor, so long as my shadowguard is allowed to remain within as well. They are an extension of me, and are closer than family in some ways for as long as we have been together. I am sure, of course, that your manor is highly secure, but safety is paramount, after all."

Ilanah_Thanatos "I assure you, there is no where safer on Chandrila. There was an incident with a rogue inquisitor....you have heard of the Inquisitorious, I presume....some months back, so my estate has been under surveillance since. but yes, of course, they are more than welcome. I am sure that Riley would highly enjoy the company." she made fun of the man somewhat.

-= [Alyn Stark] "Ah yes, the Inquisitorious... dark Force-users hiding in children's' closets and all." Stark made a scary face and waggled his tongue before breaking into laughter. "I believe they exist, but I doubt they are as bad as the rumors make out. So you had a rogue one at your home? That must be terrible. Hopefully he was apprehended before anyone was harmed. At least if your estate is being watched, security will be a premium, which is well and good. And of course, Riley would have company. Some of my men... well, their jokes are not quite orthodox."

Ilanah_Thanatos 'I heard that he was, yes. And I can tell you that he was as bad as the rumors say....but I also think that he was a little crazy." She smiled a bit. "Though I am not sure about the hiding in childrens closets, bit" Ilanah wondered idly how trustworthy Alyn Stark really was, but she was not willing to test the waters, especially not right now. "Between your ladies, Riley, Kal, and whomever Moff Brandt has skulking about, I am sure it will be a virtual fort."

-= [Alyn Stark] "Oh, a harmless tale," Stark laughed and waved the comment away. "The Inquisitorious, whatever they do, keeps us safe from the influence of the Jedi. Or so we're told. Either way, I don't dabble in the Force and I would not if I could. I'm a man of physical means. And you missed a few, dear Ilanah. There are four more of my guard that are attending to matters elsewhere in the yacht. The ladies, as you see, are the more public face. Some people frown upon me because I employ a Mandalorian and even several alien races. Of course, while I am a firm believer in Human High Culture as a I was taught, there are some skills humans lack, which are skills I have need of to thwart assassination. I do enjoy breathing, after all."

Ilanah_Thanatos "Oh I was unaware that there were more. I apologize." she said. 'Let me rephrase then...Riley will certainly enjoy the company of your ladies...." She laughed. "He sometimes tires of me, I am sure." "I am glad to hear, however, that you do not dabble in the Force. I believe it to be real....and the jedi....are absolutely concerning." What she didn't say was that her brother in law was a Jedi on the lam, and she had actually met the fugitive Kenas Annig before he was caught. Not only that, she had arranged for transport off of Imperial Center for him, but he was found first.

-= [Alyn Stark] It was almost laughable, the Imperial Senator who worked to supplant the Empire, and the small lord who served humanitarian purposes to cover a sector-spanning criminal empire; both with so much to hide and both covering it well. "Absolutely concerning indeed, Ilanah!" Stark shook his head. "At times, I am embarrassed to have served under them when I was part of the Republic Navy. Of course, I served alongside some grand heroes as well, none of whom were Jedi. Common men and women like you and I. It was indeed an honor. I can't say if the Force is real or not, but if it does exist... well, that's all well and good. I believe in the tangible though, for a blaster can keep me safe. The Force can't."

Ilanah_Thanatos cleared her throat some, wanting so badly to correct him in regards to the Force. "It can, and will when you are in my home, I guarantee you." She finally said before she beckoned Riley over. Much to his disdain, he pulled himself away and let the senator leave a few words in his ear, before he excused himself for only a few moments to make some calls and arrangements.

-= [Alyn Stark] Chuckling slightly as if you give her the benefit of the doubt, Stark nodded. "Oh, I'm sure it will, I'm sure it will." Oh, if only Ilanah knew certain things. If only indeed. "I'll still put my faith in the weapon hands of my guards and my own minor self-defense training. I found it good to take a disarming class or two. You know, the sort where you slap a weapon away or lock a wrist or some such. Pah. It's all jokes though. That's why you and I have guards, is it not?"

Ilanah_Thanatos "I wonder, alyn, how long would it take your ship to get to chandrila? I would like to give my staff there ample time to prepare for your visit. I cannot help as much as I used to, not that they would let me.' she smiled and let the conversation about self-defense go for the moment. he would learn soon enough, she was sure. "And are there any special foods that you like or are allergic to? "

-= [Alyn Stark] "The yacht we will be transferring to is quite fast, I assure you, faster than most standard warships, if that is any consolation. Chandrila is not as far from Imperial Center as one might think. I would estimate less an a day's flight, at top speed. Of course, I hardly require anything special. I have no food allergies that I am aware of, though I thank you for your kind concern. As for enjoyment of food? I have never sampled native Chandrilan dishes... perhaps you could help me explore the better side of Chandrila's cuisine? That way I could say I have added another planet's foods to my list of things to try before I am gone from the universe."

Ilanah_Thanatos "Of course I will help with that. My chef is quite good....I will have him prepare something amazing, of course. I always ask about allergies because I happen to love mushrooms. I love them and Kal is allergic. It's so strange. Riley just hates them, as he thinks they are slimy." she said with a nod before she brought herself to her feet once again.

-= [Alyn Stark] "If you require, the ship we will be transferring to has some luxurious deep bathing tubs, perfect, if I might say, for a pregnant woman. The game room may well provide entertainment for Riley in turn. This particular yacht, the Gentle Breeze, is my mainstay. It has its escort and allows me to keep my personal transport close. The Beautiful Mind, the yacht we'll be transferring to, is also a SoroSuub model, but the 3000 instead of the 5000, which we are currently in. It is configured more for comfort and speed than sheer defensiveness, hence why I utilize it for quicker jaunts."

Ilanah_Thanatos actually laughed out loud. "I am afraid that if I got down in one, i would not be able to haul back out." she was a petite thing anyway, and she wasn't obviously huge. "But I do think that it would be something i would enjoy to try at least. "I am appreciative of your kindness. I am glad that I came to meet with you this afternoon, certainly." She said with a smile.

-= [Alyn Stark] "Oh, it is no problem at all, Ilanah, and I am certainly glad you were able to come as well." Stark smiled kindly at the senator. "It will be a nice break to go to Chandrila; hopefully the galaxy will survive with out us running about doing what we do best, yes? Be such a shame to have everything terrible happen while we were away. Fortunately, with it being the close of the year, I doubt much will happen. The Clone Wars memorials seem to be the biggest events around."

Ilanah_Thanatos "I admit, I am rarely on Imperial center, so i am sure the galaxy will keep turning. I hardly think myself to be that important." She said, not a slight in any way, of course. "i feel like a horrible person for finding the clone wars memorials to be incredibly dull. I attended last year, but planned to be home this year on purpose." It was true, as she had gone at Senator fowlkes insistence the year before.

-= [Alyn Stark] "There's no harm in such a thought, Ilanah. I served in the wars, and I find the memorials incredibly dull. I usually just donate to the foundations and leave the attendance of the memorials to those with more free time than I have. Fortunately, I'm not missed, nor am I required to attend. Far too much business and all." That, and he truly couldn't stand the monotony. Let the Clone Wars pass into memory and move forwards instead of everyone fighting and crying about atrocities ten years past.

Ilanah_Thanatos "Let me think....I believe that I was.....14 when the clone wars were over....it bears very little impact on the life of a 14 year old." She laughed some and paced around the room idly as she waited for Riley to return. "It is very important to Senator Fowlkes though, as he served in the clone wars as well. He talks about it almost too often at times." she sometimes worried for her friend that he had a touch of post traumatic stress, but she knew he was too well-adjusted for that.

-= [Alyn Stark] "Ah yes, Senator Fowlkes... terrible what happened to his world recently." To say it with a straight face was so very, very hard, for it had been Stark's men's work that resulted in the current disgrace of Telos IV and its subsequent Imperial occupation. Of course, Stark hardly cared for Fowlkes; the man was strange and seemed off to Stark, who was, at the end of the day, very pro-Imperial. "I do hope he recovers from it."

Ilanah_Thanatos nodded. "I am sure that they will. I just hope that something like that would not happen on Chandrila." She voiced, obviously very concerned. "One would have thought that he would have spoken out by now." she also said, showing concern for his silence. "Unless I missed it. which is very possible. not very good reception on the holo in hyperspace, you know."

-= [Alyn Stark] "Well, it just teaches worlds a few things. First off, don't have terrible security. The very fact that Telos IV lost ships to pirates is bad enough, but that their president would fold to terrorist demands? Unthinkable. Completely unthinkable. One can only hope that it never happens to any other world, much less Chandrila. I can tell you now, Lorrd would never bow to terrorist threats, not at all. As for the good Senator Fowlkes, I have not heard or seen hide or hair of the man as of late."

Ilanah_Thanatos knew where he was, unfortunately, but she covered for him anyway. "Probably with his lovely Fiancee....unless they have married by now. I think she was at your party...a Ms. Kelrune." she was not fond of the woman, as she seemed prissy and uptight, but if Tremaine was happy, that was all that mattered to her. Of course, she didn't voice her dislike for his choice of woman, as he had about her husband.

-= [Alyn Stark] "Oh yes, I recall her in brief... a rather quiet, timid woman? I didn't think Senator Fowlkes would marry such a type, but there is no accounting for taste. No offense to Senator Fowlkes, of course. That is, once again, why I refuse to get married; everyone judges you and then your business is no longer your business. No, it is the life of a bachelor for me, Ilanah. I may die old and single, but I shall have my riches and my friends and, stars help me, I shall not die for a very long time."

Ilanah_Thanatos breathed a sigh of relief. "I am glad that i am not the only one who felt that way. Then again, I barely know her. I only know what I learned in their brief visits, and from rumors I have heard in the Senate halls." She said. "You may yet change your mind, Alyn. Perhaps you just have not met the right woman. You may some day, I would put money on it."

-= [Alyn Stark] "Oh, I have met a few kind women in my day, as well as smart ones, beautiful ones and adventurous ones. There has always been one woman that stands out over the others, but our differences, as well as the differences of station, would make it ever impossible. Nonetheless, we make what we can in our private time while we can, and it suffices for what we do." Stark laughed and waved the comment away. "So yes, I would lose that bet in some ways, but there will be nothing that comes of it."

Ilanah_Thanatos "You are a stubborn man, Alyn stark." She laughed. MOments later, Riley returned. "Everything is arranged Ms. Lana. And Inqu....Mr. Thanatos is aware and will meet you at home." He said before he turned his attention back to his new friends. She glanced to alyn for a moment. "It seems that everything is good....whenever you are ready to go to your other ship."

-= [Alyn Stark] Stark was not unaware of Riley's slip, though he pretended not to notice. What Gadrid Morthol had told Stark about Kal Thanatos being a Force-user now fell into place, as the inadverdant slip named Thanatos as an Inquisitor. The plot thickened, it seemed, and Stark could well be going into the lion's den, but he was not alone. There were scarier beings than Inquisitors out there. "We can transfer over at any time. The Beautiful Mind is ready to receive us."

Ilanah_Thanatos glared at Riley for a moment as she passed him. He was entirely too busy being entertaining, and not paying attention to his words. "Sounds like a lovely name for your ship. I am sure that it is equally as lovely." Ilanah said before she threaded her arm through that of Alyns'. "though...please tell me there is not a dreadful ladder like the one from your shuttle."

-= [Alyn Stark] "No," Stark laughed, "No ladder, simply a docking tube." Riley and Ilanah would not see the males of Stark's retinue, who'd crossed before the main party, though the Mandalorian was visible briefly as they entered the slightly smaller, but more luxurious yacht. The females would follow after Riley, and then ships parted, the Gentle Breeze heading for Lorrd while the Beautiful Mind began to vector out for hyperspace. "Make yourself at home here as well, Ilanah. It's not too different. A few extra odds and ends and a bit of luxury sacrificed for speed."

Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "There is nothing wrong with a bit of luxury, I imagine.' she replied as she walked with him. The Mando caught her eye for a moment before he disappeared, though she didn't knkow what he was at the time. "I wonder....how many ships do you own?" Ilanah asked him as they crossed over into the other ship. "Or did you tell me and I have already forgotten?"

-= [Alyn Stark] Stark simply gave Ilanah a small smile. "A few ships, only a few." In truth, it was a goodly number, more than most upper-class owned, but it was no real important answer. "A man can never have too much luxury as long as he is good on his duties. this particular vessel, if nothing else, is an older ship as I mentioned, but still quite capable thanks to rennovation. I have no doubt your manor on Chandrila puts my home on Lorrd to shame."

Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "No, alyn....I assure you, it will not. It is a country house....a large property....but it is not like some of the homes I have been to, certainly not yours. Yes, it is quite large, but as I said...it is a country home. Comfortable, and outfitted with everything anyone could need." she said as she looked around the ship that they had just boarded.

-= [Alyn Stark] They were on the main deck, which boasted a large dining area and a jet-stream meditation pool that he had advertised to Ilanah. On the lower deck was Stark's private quarters, as well as the quarters for Ilanah and Riley. "Please, make yourself at home again. This ship is much smaller than the last. Room for a pilot and ten passengers, maybe an extra one or two, but most of my guards double up. Some will be transferring to their personal craft for our escort. Would you care to eat?"

Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head some. "No, I think I might need to lie down for just a bit before that." She was suddenly quite tired and Caden was kicking her quite hard, though she tried not to show that it did hurt to a degree. "Do you mind? for just an hour or so, I would think would do." she said as she let Riley take her arm so he could walk with her to wherever Alyn told him to go.
