| Over the past few weeks, so much had happened with his life. There was one thing, however, that needed to come to a conclusion. He needed to get Lana fully away from everything she had willingly left. He knew that if something hadn't been done further, there was a chance of her getting dragged back into it all.
Here Kal was, on his way to meeting with the High Inquisitor, wanting to tell him of what he had found out from the dinner he and Lana had been invited to. It could have been the biggest news to be revealed to the Empire. There had been rumors and speculation about a rebellion forming out in the Galaxy, but this man knew there was and who was behind it all.
Not knowing where exactly the High Inquisitor wanted to meet him in the Imperial Palace, the Inquisitor had made his way down to the lower levels. The tall, dark, cloaked figure slowly walked down the corridor towards the Intelligence division. There couldn't have been a better place for an intelligence talk between the two Inquisitors.

| (( I assume the events of this thread will take into account Deschain's capture of Mika Jeebs, Havoc and Baird, providing none of them escape or whatnot. ))
Rath Deschain was awaiting Thanatos outside the entrance the Intelligence wing of the Imperial Palace. The loss of Colonel Proul still weighed heavily upon his mind, made up for in part by the new lightsaber hanging at his belt as a trophy. The crystals on all, of course, had been removed and stored in a separate area of Deschain's few treasures, but the hilts themselves spoke volumes.
With his arms crossed, he watched Thanatos approach and strode out to meet him. "Inquisitor Thanatos, what have you wished to see me about? I take it that it is a matter of some import by the tone of your message. What is on your mind?"

The time had finally come. The two were meeting to discuss an important matter. As the High Inquisitor strode out to meet him on his approach, Thanatos would simply reply, "It is about that dinner I attended. I have information that I would like to pass on and discuss with you. Is there a place where we can talk more privately?"
He wasn't wanting anyone to hear what they were about to discuss unless they had the need to know. It was information that the Empire needed to know in order keep order and peace, or what was left of it at that point.

| "Refresh my mind, Inquisitor, which dinner was this, and what information is it?" Motioning to walk with him, Deschain turned and moved down a side passage that led to a little-used maintenance area. Deschain was fond of utilizing strange areas for meeting spots; if it had been easily available, he would have chosen his ship, but it was distant and the maintenance hall would do well enough; nobody was a fool to try and pass by a pair of Inquisitors that were meeting, especially under such circumstances.

| As he was motioned to walk down the side passage, leading down to the maintenance area, he would begin to refresh his superior's mind, "During our last meeting, you had instructed me to keep my eyes and ears open around a handful of Senators. It just so happened, Senator Thanatos and I had been invited to a dinner on Lorrd with Alyn Stark. During that dinner, Stark had invited most of the Senators that you had mentioned. One of them, however, seemed a little unusual during the dinner."
"Upon further investigation, I was able to confirm your suspicions of corruption within the Empire. A Senator is the one behind it all. He is currently the head of a rebellion that is forming. Your suspicions of Senator Fowlkes of Telos IV are correct." He would have looked upon the face of the High Inquisitor, but just as his face was, it wasn't being shown. He would wait to see just how he would react to the information he had provided.

| "That's still a very serious charge, Inquisitor Thanatos. One does not easily accuse an Imperial Senator of high treason, as I found out with the former Senator Star of Volus." Deschain turned about slightly, stroking the hilts hanging from his belt. Could it truly be Fowlkes? Oh, the man was suspect to the High Inquisitor, but suspicion was not enough to go on; not yet. "What proof have you garnered, Inquisitor? I cannot simply take the matter higher on your word alone, you understand. To say that Senator Fowlkes alone is responsible for all the corruption and rebellion is quite the accusation.
"If you can show proof... now that is what I need to see that Fowlkes never again sees the light of day. I have certain leads I have been following as well... interrogations and what have you."

| Proof. The one thing he hadn't really thought of before initiating this meeting. Did he have anything to produce to his superior at this moment? No. He slowly shook his head to the question from the High Inquisitor. There was a slight hesitation as there was one thing that came to his mind. The Senator had a female friend. He wouldn't call her his girlfriend, mainly cause she seemed just to be a piece of arm candy for him.
A slight smirk could come to his face underneath the mask, "I don't have proof, as of this moment. However, I do have a way to getting what we would need to accuse him of high treason and hit this rebellion at it's heart. The Senator has a girlfriend that has been accompanying him around on their travels, and she just so happens to have been left here on the Imperial Center. I know once I find her, I will be able to get what we need out of her one way or another..."

| Deschain stepped slowly forward until he was practically face to face with the man. Bending forward slightly, he gazed into the eye-slits of Thanatos' mask. He kept his voice soft, to underscore his point. "Then find her, Inquisitor, and do what you need to do to get answers. As long as she is not a senator herself, there's no reason to hold back. However, we will need her alive, and sane for that matter. Beyond that, I don't care how you have to get the information as long as you get it. In the meantime, I will order a watch placed on everyone Senator Fowlkes associated with closely. If that happens to be anyone you know personally... I would advise them to remain away from the Senator during the duration of this investigation. Are we clear?"

| Beneath the mask, the smirk grew into a full on grin. It was good to hear that the High Inquisitor was thinking on the same level as he was. It would be his pleasure to hunt down the woman and do whatever it took to get the information they needed.
"Crystal, sir. I will report in when I find out anything." He would simply say, knowing what his orders were, he would spin around, heading back down the hall, and vanishing around the corner.

| Deschain watched the younger man depart the hall, considering. Thanatos showed promise, great promise. It was time to see if he was up to the task of greater things, especially if he managed to do well. He'd done a sight better than Animus, this was for sure. Perhaps the next task in store for Thanatos was a Jedi. That should be a challenge for the man, or, barring that, attach him as a watcher to the battlegroup that was hunting down the Separatist Shiva, if all else failed.
