| Jalaila_Kelrune had stayed on Imperial Center when Tremaine had some business to take care of off planet. She didn't mind at all. A few days before, she had met Tremaine's friend, Ja'nar, when she stopped by and their conversation had been lingering in theback of her mind since then. That day, she was just out doing a little shopping for the next trip she would certainly be taking with Tremaine.
Kal_Thanatos was following a new target. The Inquisitorious didn't give him the assignment, it was one that he had picked out on his own. The information that he could obtain would change everything. The woman he was after was out shopping, spending the Senator's credits freely. She would never have known she was being followed.
Jalaila_Kelrune left the store with a bag over her arm as she checked her commlink. Nothing. Still not so much as a word from Tremaine. She sighed and dropped the device into her purse as she started towards home.
Kal_Thanatos waited till she came out of the store. He would intentionally bump into her, "Oh, I'm sorry. My fault." He would wait for a second before making it seem like he just realized who it was that he bumped into. "Oh, you are Senator Fowlkes' friend, aren't you?"
Jalaila_Kelrune stopped abruptly, looking up at the man who had just run into her. She recognized him from Alyn Stark's party. "And you are....Senator thanatos' husband, correct? How is she? Did she get the baby gift I sent?" She seemed genuine, though she had just done it because she knew Ilanah was a friend of Tremaine's.
Kal_Thanatos would nod a little, "Yea we did and thank you." He would extend his hand out to her, "You can call me Kal. I don't think we ever got to truly talk that night."
Jalaila_Kelrune took his hand and shook it lightly. "Not really. There was alot going on that night."
Kal_Thanatos gave her a small smile, "Why aren't you with Tremaine? I thought he had left for a little while, no?"
Jalaila_Kelrune nodded and shifted the bag from one arm to the other. "He did. I stayed here this time...some business or such nonsense that he needed to take care of." she offered a small, but forced smile. "And Mrs. Thanatos? Where is she?"
Kal_Thanatos "She is back at home on Chandrila. I had to come back here for business." He would motion down the road, "Why don't we get something to eat? There's no reason why we should both should be alone."
Jalaila_Kelrune shook her head some. "I shouldn't....really...but thank you, Mr. Thanatos." Jalaila glanced around for her driver briefly, but did not see him around.
Kal_Thanatos laughed a bit. He could tell that she might have taken it the wrong way. "That didn't come out right, did it? I'm sorry. How about we just grab a drink and talk a little?" Jalaila_Kelrune checked the delicate chrono on her wrist briefly. "Alright, sure. Lead the way"
Kal_Thanatos had an almost wicked smile on his face at this point. It couldn't have been any easier for him. His arm would raise, pointing just a block down the road, "There's a pretty good bar right down the road. " He would lead her down the road, make small talk here and there until they would reach the door. He'd quickly open the door, allowing her to head on in first and to grab a seat for them. As they would take their seats, he'd lean over towards her, "It bothers you that he didn't take you along, doesn't it?"
Jalaila_Kelrune took a seat and sat her parcels down next to her. "No...no not really. I needed some time at home anyway, so I could finish moving my things out of my apartment." She said, though in truth, she was a little bothered by it.
Kal_Thanatos would've ordered a drink. He had gotten a Corellian Rum. After she would have ordered a drink, if she was going to, he would have looked at her for a moment before calling her bluff, "I don't believe you. I can feel it. You don't like the fact that he left you here alone."
Jalaila_Kelrune ordered a glass of wine for herself, which she sipped slowly. "Maybe a little. I'd never left Imperial center before he came along." she admitted. "But it's alright. I understand." She smiled some and sat her glass down. 'What do you mean-you can feel it?"
Kal_Thanatos lifted the glass of rum up to his mouth, taking a sip before answering her, "Let's just say I have certain abilities. Abilities that I can use at will. I am able to feel just what you are feeling. You don't have to put on this charade anymore."
Jalaila_Kelrune shook her head, now ignoring the glass. "What charade?" She asked before she cleared her throat some. suddenly, she felt very uncomfortable.
Kal_Thanatos slowly took another sip of his rum. This was a little fun for him. "Are you a fan of his side business? Don't pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about."
Jalaila_Kelrune turned her gaze to him. "Are you a fan of your wife being involved?" She asked in retort.
Kal_Thanatos shook his head at her question, "Honestly, I don't think that it is something that she should be involved in, and that's why I'm trying to get her out of it...at whatever it takes." He would smile at her, "And you, my dear, are going to help me."
Jalaila_Kelrune shook her head again. "I am not sure i am able to help you, Mr. thanatos. From what I understand, she has a mind of her own." She said before she slid off of the barstool carefully.
Kal_Thanatos 's hand would reach out, grabbing her arm, "Maybe I didn't say it correctly. You will help me. I'm pretty damn sure that you know things about Tremaine's side business, and I need everything I can get on him."
Jalaila_Kelrune wrenched her arm out of his grasp. "Well then you are going to have to find that out on your own. I am -not- helping you, Mr. Thanatos. Have a good evening." She said as she picked up her bags so she could go.
Kal_Thanatos took his glass, finishing the rest of his drink. As he put the glass back down, his hand would raise to her, grabbing her throat with the Force. His voice would show no sign of anger as he would continue his conversation, "I guess we get to do this the fun way then."
Jalaila_Kelrune gasped, choking some as she felt the invisible hand around her throat. Tremaine had worried about the man doing something absolutely insane like this, but she hadn't believed it. now, however, she did.
Kal_Thanatos would drop his hand, releasing her from his grasp. "Sure you don't wanna help me? I don't really want to hurt you over this, but it has been a while since I've had some blood on my hands."
Jalaila_Kelrune narrowed her eyes some, catching her breath after he released her. "He knew you would do this...." She nearly hissed as she put her hands on the bar top to steady herself.
Kal_Thanatos 's head would shake as he would laugh a little at her, "No. This isn't anything close to what he expected. I'm doing this for my family, not for the Empire. You don't understand what I'm willing to do to keep them safe."
Jalaila_Kelrune felt a little sick to her stomach. "Your wife is safe because she has you." she said, straightening back up some. "Would she want you to send an innocent man, her friend, to his death just to 'keep her safe'?"
Kal_Thanatos scoffed at her little comment about him being an innocent man. "He isn't innocent. He killed people on the world he so cares about, just to get the suspicion off of him. You call that innocent?" He would ask her.
Jalaila_Kelrune blinked slowly as he spoke. "He did....what?"
Kal_Thanatos nodded to her. He wasn't surprised. "Oh...he didn't tell you. Yea, that's an innocent man. He arranged for Telos to be hit by Separatists so that the Empire wouldn't suspect him anymore. It's was a smart plan, but people lost their lives so he could continue looking like he was serving the Emperor."
Jalaila_Kelrune hesitated for a moment. 'You do realize that if you try and force me to sell him out, I will throw your wife in with him." She said, very softly.
Kal_Thanatos took a quick look around the bar. There was a reason why he liked this place, no one really came in there. His eyes would look into hers. She would've seen the rage behind them, burning to come out. He was holding it back with all his might. It would've been easy to just rip her apart on the spot. A light chuckle came out as he looked down at her, "You really think that I'd let you live long enough to do that?" His right hand reached down to his side and underneath his jacket. His hand grasped the hilt of his lightsaber, pulling it out and setting it down on the bar, keeping his hand on it.
Jalaila_Kelrune watched his movements carefully. "She will hate you...forever." Jalaila thought about it as she took a hesitant step back. "Didn't she leave you once for what you are? That's what Tremaine told me once. What an idiot that woman is."
Kal_Thanatos knew what she was doing here, and it was working. "What I am?! Just what do you believe I am?! A terrorist? No, that's your sugar daddy, Tremaine. I am a man, doing what it takes to keep his family safe! You really believe Tremaine would do anything like this for you?"
Jalaila_Kelrune smirked some. "Oh yes...a man...threatening a woman. Very manly of you." she murmured as she took another step back slowly. She knew she might not get that far in her heels, but she was not prepared to let him drag information out of her.
Kal_Thanatos took a breath in, slowly letting it out. He would get up off of the stool he was sitting on, taking his saber and letting his arm drop at his side. He would stand there, looking at her for a moment, "All I want is information. You shouldn't be giving your life up for him. Especially when he's probably off with another woman right now."
Jalaila_Kelrune blinked slowly and shook her head. "He wouldn't do that...." Tremaine had told her the truth about the kiss between him and Cerra, but he promised. They were engaged after all. "You're lying."
Kal_Thanatos smirked, seeing the expression on her face as she heard that. "I'm lying, huh? I haven't hid a single thing from you. On the other hand, he has. What would stop him from doing it more than once?"
Jalaila_Kelrune "I trust him." She murmured as she took another step backwards towards the door. She eyed the man nervously. He was shaking her confidence, that was for sure. "But...wll your wife trust you when she finds out what you've done?"
Kal_Thanatos would give her a confident nod, "She will." The comments about Tremaine were starting to get at her. "I seriously doubt that you trust him. Do you really know where he is? For all you know, he could be off with Senator Cerra. He's always had a thing for her."
Jalaila_Kelrune shook her head. "Stop it....that's not true.' she said, lying to herself about it. "And no...she won't trust you...she is going to run away from you like she did before. Tremaine told me about it. Did she have a son? She'll take him too..." Her comebacks weren't that great, but she wanted to anger him.
Kal_Thanatos had broken through and gotten to her. "You don't know my wife like I do. She left me for a reason that you'll never understand." He had done things that he wasn't proud of, but it was different back then. "You really don't see it, do you. That dinner on Lorrd. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. You should have felt the feelings that he had everytime their eyes would meet. Let's just say, friends don't have those kinds of feelings for each other. "
Jalaila_Kelrune 's expression dropped. "He said they kissed once...that was it." she murmured in a moment of weakness, before she strengthened her resolve. Jalaila shot a glance to the door and ran.
Kal_Thanatos smirked as his left hand came up and flicked to the side using the Force to send her crashing into a table and chairs. His head slowly shook as he spoke softly to himself, "They always try and run." Suddenly, a snap and hiss echoed throughout the bar. The crimson red of his saber was illuminating the room around him.
Jalaila_Kelrune and crash she did. Heels and skirts were not made for running. She groaned when she finally came to a stop, and tried to force herself to get up, but she could hardly move. she was bleeding from the forehead and her arm had a deep cut from something on one of the tables. Jalaila managed to get herself into a sitting position, clutching herleft arm with her right hand.
Kal_Thanatos 's hand would reach out, and lift her body up using the Force. She would be able to talk and breath, but that was all. He would supress some pain that she was feeling, what he could at least. He's walk up to her as she would float there, "I'm done playing. Tell me what I want to know."
Jalaila_Kelrune shook her head some, wincing as he moved her by force again. "I'd rather die." she said simply.
Kal_Thanatos shook his head, "I'm not going to kill you. I need you alive." He thought back to his meeting with Rath. She needed to be alive. "The more you give me, the less pain you will be in."
Jalaila_Kelrune said nothing for the moment. "I don't....care.' she managed to murmur. she turned her head some so she wouldn't have to look at him. Tremaine had better not have been lying to her about anything, fter this. though she doubted she would make it out of this.
Kal_Thanatos would bring her body floating closer to him. His voice would become quieter, "He doesn't care about you as much as you think. Stop protecting him."
Jalaila_Kelrune 'let me go." She whispered, wincing again. Jalaila looked somewhat defeated, but it really could have been anything at that point.
Kal_Thanatos "NO!" He would yell at her. She wasn't going to be going anywhere on her own. His hand would put his saber away before he'd wave it from left to right, attempting to mind trick her into giving in, "You will tell me what I want to know..."
Jalaila_Kelrune was quiet for a moment. 'Put me down....and I will tell you what you want to know."
Kal_Thanatos 's hand would lower, in turn, lowering her back down to the ground. "Now tell me!"
Jalaila_Kelrune gritted her teeth and squeezed her arm tightly. Bruises were starting to form. "You....are an idiot." she murmured, somewhat hoarsely. "And idiot and a fool who is going to lose his family just because you want me to tell you that my fiancee is a rebel leader...a fact you already know. And pathetic too."
Kal_Thanatos smiled now that he had finally gotten her to say it out loud. He just needed to know that she actually knew. He had just a few more questions for her, "Where does he keep any information pertaining to his little band of rebels?"
Jalaila_Kelrune shook her head. "I don't know that." She wasn't lying. 'I....I don't know." Kal_Thanatos : Do you know anything else?
Jalaila_Kelrune : I don't.
Kal_Thanatos growled a little at her. This was his one lead. "I need everything you know. I need access into his personal office, and you will go in for me. You will get all you can find on him..."
Jalaila_Kelrune shook her head and looked down at the floor. "Fine."
Kal_Thanatos starred into her eyes, "If you attempt to contact him or anyone, I will know and you will feel pain that you can't even imagine. Understand?"
Jalaila_Kelrune nodded some to show she understood. Jalaila_Kelrune : How do you know I won't run?
Kal_Thanatos : Cause I will be watching and I will stop you
Jalaila_Kelrune nodded again and struggled to stand up.
Kal_Thanatos held out both of his hands. A glow would emit from both as they were pointed at her. It was his ability to heal. Since her injuries weren't even close to being threatening, it wouldn't take much for them to be healed through the Force. Within a few minutes, no one would've been able to know that she had just gotten her ass kicked
Jalaila_Kelrune would pull herself up. "I'm leaving." she said, wondering if he was going to stop her again.
Kal_Thanatos just stood there, watching her leave. "Just know, I will be watching you..."
Jalaila_Kelrune said nothing more and just left the bar.
