| Daneira was caught in the moment and reveled in what he was; what they were together, what they had been, and what they would be. She felt, for the first time in years, like a whole person again. Not disconnected or just stumbling through any longer. The person who held her heart for all that time was right here, touching her, kissing her. She could feel his emotion and his soul, and she had missed it. It was like oxygen, pure and fresh, pumping through her veins and lighting her on fire.
For a brief moment, Dani groped the wall to her right, searching for the button that would slide the door shut. Once it was located, she slammed her palm against it and the barrier hissed closed, cutting them off from the rest of the ship, including Varitek. Their emotions, however, were uncontrollable. At least, hers were.
Without even a thought, Daneira jumped up and wrapped her legs around his waist, not even breaking their kiss. She didn't want to, she couldn't. She was afraid if she stopped, that she would wake up and it would have all been a dream and that she would wake up and be alone again. For right now, he was here and they were together. Dani slid her arms around his neck and her fingers found their way into his dark hair as they kissed deeply, passionately, to make up for time lost.

| Her every movement fueled his, the heat radiating off their bodies escaping into the atmosphere around them. The air was heavy, clouded with a sweet mix of passion and the single, all-consuming need for these two to forge a new love. It was one tempered by grief, springing forth from a fount of desire buried deep within them. As her long legs wrapped around his waist, Karth was overcome with an emotion that was little more than a passing stranger to him now. Joy, pure and bountiful, coursed through him as she closed off the world around them with a slap of her hand. Her fingers snaked in his hair, tugging lightly, begging him to show her all the things he didn't have the words for.
He responded with a low growl, nearly-animal in nature, his lips and tongue fervently meeting with hers as they both gasped for air. With a brief, incorrigible smile, they crossed to the bed in moments. He fell on his back, her atop, their exploration of each other continuing as the stars above them twisted in radiant azure streaks. Karth's fingers clawed at her back and thigh, unwilling to even stop for breath unless it was absolutely necessary. He missed her, and it showed. They were together again, after a decade of misery, and there was no force in the universe that could tear them apart. Not this night; tonight, the galaxy was put on hold. The war, their lives as fugitives, the bounty on his head. Nothing mattered, obscured by a veil of desire until it wasn't even an inkling in the back of his mind. Karth pressed her closer to him, as though this moment could end without warning.

| Daneira finally broke their kiss and sat up, shaking out her ebony locks after she pulled her faded blue tank top off and tossed it to the floor. she leaned back down and pressed her swollen lips gently against his, tenderly and so lovingly. When she pulled back again, she brushed his dark hair back from his face with her fingertips. "Karth...." She murmured, almost inaudibly.
Her lips grazed his again, albeit briefly, before she whispered her next words to him. "I love you..."
