| With a faint grin as Ana dropped in beside him, Stark detached the airlock connecting tube and released the magnetic clamps and maneuvered into open space, where they were oriented upon Naboo. Flicking a few switches, he leaned back and looked over to her. "The stick is all yours love. She handles quite easily and you'll find her more responsive than most snubfighters out there. If you want to get a feel for it, now is as good a time as any."
He knew she was joking about her request, but it never hurt to ensure that she knew how to fly the craft. There might come a day when he'd need her to come rescue him and on that day, this would likely be the craft she would have to use.

| "Oh no...no Alyn....I was joking! " She said as she grabbed ahold of the controls anyway. It was obvious that she had no clue, but she would give it a shot anyway. Ana smiled to him slightly. "You'll have to land. I don't want to risk that yet..." She said as she carefully piloted the craft down. He was right, it wasn't hard to do.
When they were close, Ana glanced to him so he could take over and do the rest.

| He watched her pilot the craft, and for a beginner on his vessel, she did exceptionally well. Presuming Naboo Control had given him a landing vector, he would take over the controls and bring the ship in through the atmosphere. "You did quite well darling. I'm very proud of you. We'll make a good pilot out of you yet." If he was cleared to land at Vanden's estate, then he'd do so. Barring that, the nearest spaceport would suffice.

| He would certainly be cleared to land, as Ana knew the trick, and was friends with those in control of the towers. Once the craft was landed safely, even before Alyn would have a chance to power it down, she was out of her seat and leaving the transport. It was excitement, perhaps, to be home. Or anxiousness for Alyn to meet Artemis.
Her dark gaze trailed across the expanse of the beautiful estate as she waited for Alyn, patiently. The air here felt cleaner, and she took a deep breath in the relative comfort of it all. Ana knew it was safer here, even more so than on Lorrd in Castle Stark, or on Acherin in Tu'Rot's massive citadel, and definitely more so than on Coruscant.
The wind whipped her chestnut curls gently as she walked to the house, taking her time as to give Alyn time to catch up with her.

| Once the Infinite Thought had set down, flanked by the Flame of War and the Wings of Destiny, Stark finished his post-flight check, placing the ship in its continued standby mode and activating the internal systems before departing. He spared a last look for the sealed case that held an item quite precious to him and exited the transport to join Ana. Already, Tarin Mako and Irlilia Dannen had assumed their positions behind Stark and Ana, albeit a good twenty paces distant, keeping a watchful eye.
"I take it that it's good to be home, my dear?" Stark asked as he slipped his hand into hers. Gazing at the house, Stark nodded approvingly. It was defensible, if nothing else. Vanden though, was not likely the type to have a multitude of security.

| Ana smiled warmly. "Yes ,you have no idea how good it feels to be home. ". She said as she squeezed his hand tightly. She loved him,it was so evident. Ana would start to lead him inside ,using her code to get into the estate with the touchpad by the door.
"Artemis?" She called out into the cavernous house. Ana didn't see him immediately ,so she checked his study before spotting him through the doors on the patio. Davon wasn't in view yet ,so that would shock her when she finally would see him. Ana glanced to Alyn for a moment before she headed outside.

| Stark entered with Ana, taking his time to allow Mako and Dannen to enter as well before he closed the door. Ana was preceding him outside, so it seemed, and when she looked back at him he smiled encouragingly at her. He did love her greatly, after all, and he wanted this homecoming to be as happy as possible for her.

| (( Hey, sorry all, I really should have left this note earlier. But I think it might be best to auto this thread or to call it off since Ana's involvement with Stark and politics on Lorrd and her time away from Naboo means Artemis has to let her go from her job as his chamberlain, because A.) as a senator, he really shouldn't be employing someone who's involved in another planet's politics and, more importantly, B.) Artemis would be happy for Ana for moving up in the world ("worlds"?) and he wouldn't want to hold her back. (He will have learned from his reconciliation with Davon that he has to let people go sometimes; caring about Ana as much as he does, he doesn't want to repeat his mistakes with Davon and wouldn't want her to feel she needs to stay behind for Arty's sake and miss out on her bright future).
But the knowledge that she's about to be let go in the events following this thread puts something of a damper on continuing it. If you don't mind, I'd like to auto or void it. ))Added (17 Jul 2012, 8:49 PM)
