Storming the Party

| Samuel and a group of loyalists, all young men belonging to conservative families who owed their place and position to the Lordship and who wished to choke out the Democratic Party before it became a threat had planned this attack for some days. They were dressed in the uniform of their paramiltiary group and armed with a selection of blaster rifles and pistols.
Thus the half dozen men filed into the Party HQ before pulling their Blasters from under their coats. One remained back to barricade the revolving door and prevent interference. They quickly seized the receptionist and gave a cry which would echo through the large marble lobby "Harald Lennon, traitor! We are here to arrest you for crimes against your Lord. Surrender now and we will let this bitchlet live.."
They trained their blasters on the doors inside the building. Their day had come.

| Unfortunately for Mr. B'Stard and his ilk, Stark had never actually granted anyone in the Kinyov Province a place or position. Thanks largely in part to the watchful eye of the police forces who, at the behest of Stark, were watching out for the chance of angry demonstrations. At Stark's behest as well, and likely to Harald Lennon's annoyance, Stark had ordered several of the Kinyov Province Police Force stationed outside Lennon's Party HQ for the man's protection.
Knowledge of the 'Royalist League' did not really exist, seeing as they were a newly-formed group. Nonetheless, it was for that reason that when the half-dozen men entered and began pulling blasters, it did not quite go without notice. Barricading a revolving door was a tad harder than it might seem to be as well, and proton carbines shoved through the thin glass would be brought to bear on the attacking group as soon as the shouting began. In a hostage situation such as this, though, one could not deal with political terrorists lightly; the answer would be a dozen well-aimed shots on stun at the backs of five of the men and likely the front of the man who'd remained there to try and block the door.

| It so happened that upon entry of Samuel B'Stard and his friends, there was another group sitting in the lobby, having just arrived a scant five minutes before and were now awaiting a meeting with Harald Lennon. Followers of Lennon's movement and having some rather rabid ideals of their own, Dalton 'Camp' Campbell's group of the Free Lorrd Now society were represented at the moment with six of their own who'd come to wait.
While normally, Campbell and his own would not have gone armed, Lennon's talk of 'faceless death troopers' and 'tyranny of the masses' and all that had made these young idealists rather nervous. It was for this reason that they had all concealed some form of weapon underneath their clothing. It was apparent from B'Stard's group's reaction that these six men in waiting were little of a threat, as they moved to grab the secretary instead, but in a flash, an equal number of blaster pistols were out and aimed at the group of so-called loyalists who were shouting for Lennon as a traitor.
Fortunately, the makeup of the lobby and the way they sat placed Campbell and his group off to the side of the main doors, keeping them out of the militaristically-called 'fatal funnel' in which B'Stard and his men were congregated.

| Lennon appeared from the top of the lobby stairs. He put his hand out and gestured to the Kinyov Democratic Party people. "Put your weapons down lads, or I can guarantee you only darkness in your future.." he said with a reassuring tone "There is no need for death today on either side. You boys? You claim to love democracy and liberty? Then drop your weapons now - for a party member to ever carry one in this building without authorization is against all we stand for. You young idealists may feel that now is the time for armed rebellion or dissent, but this is no such time. We are better than the likes of these menslayers.. these Monarchists, these Argazdan pawns.."
As he spoke, a number of ISB Agents were moving around the doors in the bottom of the lobby, training stunners ready for the metal doors to slide up in fraction of a second and allow the men to be stunned, they did so in cooperation with the security cameras and auto turrets in the lobby. "Now you boys" Lennon went on "You too do not need to define your lives by violence.. you too can become better than violence.."

| Naturally his place and position weren't directly due to stark, rather due to the indirect benefit Stark's presence (from his companies) brought to the area rather than a gift directly. His boys were a simple group of blowhards, hopped up on drugs. The rotating doors were formed of transparisteel, and as such would be rather difficult for the "Proton carbines" of the police to force their way through.
The five men moved into cover in the columns of the lobby. Not firing back as the door was still jammed. The troopers blaster fire would patter off the inch thick transparisteel
 was the view the receptionist would have (except with more columns running up the centre of the room. The Royalists opened up over a loudhailer to the police "We have no quarrel with you, soldiers of our Lord Stark, only with these rebels. Now let us be about our business arresting them as is th custom of our people.." replied the man over the door. The men in the lobby trained their blasters and carbines upon the armed Democratic Party people "Hands up boys.." remarked one grizzled veteran, flicking his blaster rifle to kill and training it on Campbell "Listen to your old man and surrender ain't gonna hurt noone.. just a peoples arrest.."
B'stard, holding his pair of blaster pistols re-trained them upon the rebels in arms. "Tell them Lennon.. tell them what happens when boys go up against vets in a firefight.."

| While one of the dozen Police Force troopers radioed for backup, describing the situation within and making the call to require a hostage negotiation, four of the other troopers began forcing the revolving door, using superior strength, numbers and leverage to slowly pry the door open while the other seven troopers prepared to breach and force entry through the windows alongside the door, using hand-based pummels The man with the loudhailer would find himself being replied to in short order from without as the ranking sergeant of the Police Forces present responded. "The people within this building have the right to peaceable assembly. As of this moment, Mr. B'Stard," for he'd been recognized on entry, "You are breaking the law. Throw your weapons down, release the hostage and step outside quietly." The sound of sirens in the distance gave light to the fact that the Kinyov Province's protective forces responded quite rapidly indeed. It would only be a matter of minutes before the building was surrounded and not that much longer before a decision was reached to breach or not.

| "Mr. Lennon... if we drop our guns, they'll take you out and shoot you!" Camp's voice was high and nervous, but he and his party stood their ground, pointing a combination of hold-out blasters and blaster pistols at the members of the loyalist group. "You can't have Mr. Lennon! He's a force for change in this province! Why don't you go back to your lord and tell him that democracy is here to stay!" Campbell's words were taken up by a few of the others, who began to chant it over and over, not actually noticing the ISB agents who were creeping around behind them.

| "Drop. The. Blasters." Harald said in a cold still voice. "Now is not the time to be heroes.. Let's solve this through words not blows. It was the Argazdans who brought violence to Lorrd and our movement will have nothing to do with such violence, violence begets violence and to build a better Lorrd it must be through fellowship and peace. Are we not all men? Do men not know that violence was the path of the Separatist aliens? And stop that ridiculous chanting."
Instantaneously a force field trap clicked around where Lennon was standing, activated as soon as the Democratic Party/ISB Security made their entries through the formerly closed durasteel doors, clad in armourweave suits with goggles and small respirators fitted. The Blasters in their hands flashed, one already levelled at each man in the room, filling it with a blue stunning haze, as the doors opened they cried "Party Security, down on the ground, everyone - NOW".
Moments before the security forces were informed both by a holo call from a back-room security operative and also on the scrolling digital sign on the front of the building that Democratic Party Security would be storming the lobby immediately.
The secretary dived for the floor behind her desk as the auto turrets began to spray incapacitating foam across both sides with mechanical speed - although not the ISB men. The ISB would likely have no problem with either side, being agents trained for exactly this situation they fanned out by the doors, a score in all, although outwardly they were simply In House security, although to Starks watching men their extreme proficiency in incapacitating all present might be noted.

| Sam clicked off a couple of shots as the doors opened at Harald's forcefield, although they failed to hit, going wide as he span and snapped off shots with two hands at the same time, at the end of his spin he slumped to the floor, struck by blaster bolts. The rest of his men, caught unawares with most of their attention trained on the security forces failed to hit any targets, although all opened fire, leaving scorch marks in the walls and ceiling as they were struck by stun bolts.
One fell to the floor on his blaster, causing it to discharge a shot into his own foot. The man who had been closest to the door opened fire on the security forces as they attempted to pry their way through, again causing no casualties before being hit by a stun round in the back.

| The Police Force troopers finished cutting their way in just as the action completed, moving to arrest the fallen and wounded with the same efficiency they'd shown thus far. The sergeant in charge looked at the ISB agents and nodded briefly his thanks. It made sense who they were now, after all. It would seem that Lennon had a certain backing that Stark didn't, after all.

| Dalton Campbell and his group hesitated a bare moment as Lennon's command voice got through to them. Even as they set down their weapons, all hell broke loose and the ISB men fired upon them, along with the stunner turrets. It appeared both groups were temporarily incapacitated and restrained by the police, leaving, thankfully, a situation that could have gone bad relatively well defused.
