In the end, as mighty as the mountain was, it gave way, grudgingly, beneath the relentless blasts of the multiple cannons focused upon it. With a great roar that the ground forces could hear from so many kilometers away, the side of the mountain caved in, toppling the lofty palace and its internal structures down the mountainside where they crashed in ruin far below. If there had been anyone living within the palace, they were dead now, and Blackfire had made its point.
The troops would be withdrawn and the mercenary forces and Blackfire's forces went their separate ways, victorious.
