| Destrando City could be seen, even from a distance in space. Captain K'lip Sa'at sneered as he watched it from the bridge of the Neutron Star-class bulk cruiser Wallow. Sent there by the prime minister of Argazda, Sa'at present to 'oversee distribution of food to the Argazdan mining guilds and ensure that Lorrd did not supply arms to the Lorrdian mining guilds.' For all intents and purposes though, Sa'at was there to prepare for a war. He'd had enough time too. Argazdan spies on Lorrd reported that a small convoy of bulk freighters was due from Lorrd to Slovo, on a legitimate resupply mission for the warring guilds. Sa'at, however, had been prepared for this. Expert Argazdan slicers had falsified a scan record taken of the bulk freighters to show that one of them was carrying weapons and several proton torpedoes.
Now it was just a matter of time in the waiting game for them to show up.

| The Lorrdian convoy arrived as schedule; three BFF-1 bulk freighters and a solitary Muurian transport for escort. They were aware of the Argazdan cruiser sitting not far from their emergence point, but as they felt there was little to worry about, they continued towards the planet at their slow pace.

| "Ah, there they are. Perfect timing." Sa'at's voice was full of satisfaction as he watched the ships emerge. "Sensors, give me an active scan of those vessels, as well as a readout of any technical data on what they're carrying. We want to make sure the Lorrdians aren't trying to shove our people off Destrando City, after all." The Argazdan data that had already been modified popped up on the screen, causing the sensor operator to give it a troubled look, then run the scan again before looking up at Sa'at.
"Sir, it would appear that the Muurian transport is carrying no cargo. Two of the bulk freighters appear to be carrying food supplies and mining equipment but the third has some anomalies. Mixed in with mining equipment and food, I'm getting signatures that read as a high concentration of power packs similar to weapons, and, sir... there's three proton torpedoes."
"The treacherous Lorrdian scum!" Sa'at roared, fully in his element. "Comms, hail that convoy and tell them we wish to inspect their goods!" He was betting heavily that the Lorrdians would not want the Argazdans on their vessels and would play from there.

| Naturally when hailed, the Lorrdian convoy captain's response was incredulity. Watching over the safety and security of his vessels from on board the Muurian transport, he signaled for the pilot to place the small transport between the bulk cruiser and the freighters, which continued on towards Destrando City. "We are not subject to your laws, Argazdan captain," the Lorrdian convoy leader shot back. "We are a peaceful supply mission and if you have a complaint, take it up with someone else."

| "See? They try to withhold the truth from us!" Sa'at turned back to the comm. "Lorrdian vessels, you are carrying armaments most foul to your Lorrdian guerrillas so they may wage unjust war against the innocent Argazdan miners on Destrando City. Halt your vessels to be searched or face the consequences." Sa'at cut the comms and turned to the weapons and engine officers. "Engines, take us to full speed. Weapons, if they do not comply, treat them as wartime vessels and fire upon them. Destroy every ship in that group."

| The Lorrdian captain was astounded and stated as much. "Weapons? Are you mad? Are you Argazdans stark raving mad? This is a food convoy, not a weapons supply!" Even then, the man did not think to call for help. "We're not stopping so you can ransack through our cargo. If you continue on this crazed tirade, I will report to my superiors when I return to Lorrd and see this matter brought to a higher authority. We're not stopping for you and that is final."

| As the Lorrdian vessels were not halting, Sa'at gave the order to fire. Twenty quad laser cannons that could be brought to bear lanced out, targeting first the Muurian transport, then aimed to rake up and down the line of the convoy. With their slow speed, they'd find it hard to evade and even then, the sheer firepower being put out would overwhelm shields and eventually, destroy the craft if all went well.

| On the Muurian, the Lorrdian captain had no time to alter orders. His ship was destroyed in the blink of an eye from the massed firepower. The freighters, slow and lumbering indeed, could not outrun the bulk cruiser. While they did their best to escape and evade, one by one, they fell to the massed fire. The expanding balls of gas in space were now testament to the graves of thirty-seven Lorrdians.

| Sa'at grunted with approval as the last Lorrdian vessel exploded. "Treacherous scum," he commented to his bridge crew. "We'll give those foul Lorrdians a taste of their own medicine. Prepare the ship's troops for landing. By the Force, we may only have two hundred with us, but those Lorrdian filth down there will have no idea what hit them. If it's a war Lorrd wants, then it's a war they'll get." The crew was already roused by the accusations and the action and followed suit, some with assenting nods and others with cheers as the Wallow made its way towards Slovo's orbit.
