Kal would stand there, looking down at the ground. Could she have been right? Was he looking to far into all of this? Could the Senator actually have been killed in the explosion? He knew that he had to investigate further, but there was something that needed to be done before that.

He would slowly look up at her as she went for the door. He would let her, not interrupting her from leaving the house.

Jalaila sighed and shook her head before she left the house. Once outside, she took a deep breath of the fresh hair. The speeder that she had brought was still sitting there waiting, the driver patient and unconcerned that she was taking so long. She was pretty sure that the Inquisitor would still go to nar Shadda, but she was also sure that he would find nothing because if Tremaine was alive, he would be long gone by now. He wasn't entirely stupid. The Inquisitor, on the other hand, she had doubts about.

As soon as she began walking outside, Kal would look back, making sure that Lana was no where in sight. Unknowingly to Jalaila, Kal had exited the house right behind her. The driver of the speeder would've gotten a concerned and confused look on his face as Kal would've came out behind her.

He would push past her, waving the driver off, telling him, "I'll give her a ride. Go on..." The drive would've nodded to him before speeding away from the estate. He would turn to her, "So, looks like you need a ride...."

Jalaila sighed the second she heard him. "Look....I came to talk to Ilanah, not you, and offer my condolences. He always talked about her like she was his best friend. Why can't you just leave me alone?!" She was getting upset, and when the speeder driver took off, she frowned. "Please....just go. I've done what you asked."

His fists would be clenched as she mentioned that she just wanted him to leave her alone. He had never liked this woman, or her little whining. He would nod, "Fine. Leave. Take the speeder over there..." He would smile a little before continuing on.

"You'll be seeing me soon enough..."

"I was perfectly fine with the speeder i had, thank you." She would pull out her comm device to call them back. Honestly, she had no idea how to get back to the spaceport, and she didn't know how to drive. Instead of sticking around, Jalaila would wander off and away from the property. Anything to get away from him, since she had made the mistake of coming back here.

Just as she began to walk off, Kal would stand there, watching her as she would wander off and away from the property. He would smile a little before heading back inside of the house. He needed to pack up his things in order to head to Nar Shaddaa. There had to be something there that would lead him to find Tremaine. He hadn't truly believed the story she told or the one that he had heard about on the news.

He would head back in, making his way up the stairs into his room. Kal would grab a bag, and begin putting his things into it, making sure to pack the essential items. Then, he would look over at a picture that was sitting on the nightstand of him and Lana. He stared at it for a moment, thinking of something he remembered hearing back during the Clone Wars. It was a rumor that had been spreading throughout the ranks and the Jedi. It was of one of the Jedi, being able to mess with a person's mind, more than a Jedi normally could. What if he would be able to fix Lana's memory?

In the doorway behind Kal, Ilanah would finally speak up after having watched him pack for several moments. "So you're going after him?" She asked, though it was more of a statement. She wasn't stupid, just had holes in her memory from the accident. He probably thought that Jalaila had lied to him, that maybe Tremaine was truly alive. Ilanah didn't believe it.

"He's dead. She wouldn't come here and lie to me." She said with a sigh as she watched him with her hazel gaze. "She loved him, you know. People don't just lie about that." Her eyes were a little red and somewhat puffy, but she had stopped crying for her friend. It did no one any good to cry. Sometimes it just made her feel better though.

He had known that she was standing there, in the doorway, the entire time. He didn't turn around as she spoke to him. He could tell she was upset by the news, but didn't really know what she was. He shook his head, responding, "He's not dead. There is no way that he would die they way that the news or the way that she said. It was all to get the attention off of himself and onto the memory of him. Smart, but not genius. I will be hunting him down, but there is something that you and I must do first..." He would close up his bag, grabbing into his left hand and sitting it down on the ground, turning to her...

Ilanah would sigh as he spoke. There was no convincing him, it seemed. Her gaze followed his movements to see what he would do and when he turned, her expression softened visibly. After a moments hesitation, she walked straight to him and slid her arms around his waist and pressed herself against him wordlessly.

"What? What do we have to do?" She murmured before she took a deep breath.

He wasn't exactly sure how to go about all of this, but there had to be a way for him to get her memory back. He would hesitate before responding to her, "We...we need to get your memory back...and I think I might know a few ways. You just need to trust me..."

He had thought back on the several things he had learned and been able to accomplish throughout his life with using the Force. He always believed in it and never doubted the abilities the Force had. He just needed to find out the right way to use it in order to get Lana's memory back.

She looked up at him, frowning some as she did. "It will come back on its own, Kal. The doctors I saw said it would. Something will spark it and there it will be." Ilanah was relatively unconcerned about it, obviously, but she was curious as to why he was so worried about it. She remembered the important things, she thought, and he should have told her anything else.

Kal would just nod it off for now. He would not let this go, though. There had to be a way for him to get her to be able to get her memory back. He'd look at her for a moment before grabbing his back off the ground, "I believe it's time for me to head off then. I've got a trip to make to Nar Shaddaa that I shouldn't put off any longer."

He would walk up to Lana, placing his lips onto her, kissing her goodbye. He'd pull back, looking into her eyes, "Be safe..."

Ilanah returned his kiss gently, looking up at him when he pulled back. She had slid her hand into his and wrapped her fingers around the handle of his bag. Carefully, she pulled it out of his grip and tossed it back onto the floor a few feet from them. "Please don't. Please....." She pleaded with him, her voice quiet. "My friend is dead, Kal....you don't have to go after him anymore." Maybe he was right and Tremaine wasn't dead, but she was struggling to be able to discern the truth from lies anymore. Moreover, she wasn't sure who she actually knew and who she could trust. With Kal gone, that would just be worse because anyone could have told her anything.

But at the same time, Ilanah thought that maybe it would be better if he left for a while. Maybe she could remember on her own, or with Riley's help. In everything she had looked through; photos, papers, holos, she still wasn't sure about who she had been. Titus Veritas' name came up several times, one in a document that named him custodian of Caden in the event of her and Kal's deaths. Maybe he could have answered some questions for her if she went to see him.

After a few moments, she would look back up at Kal again, catching his cobalt blue gaze with her own hazel orbs. "But if you have to, you have to. I'll be fine here with Caden and Riley...." She would force a small smile for his benefit.

He would let go of his bag, hearing her yell him to not leave. He thought about it, but as soon as he heard her say that her friend is dead, it lit a little fire down inside him. He looked down into her eyes, as she continued on, saying that if he had to, then he should. He would shake his head side to side, "He isn't dead, Lana! And he isn't your friend anymore. He would have betrayed you eventually." He couldn't believe that even after all that she had heard from him, and finding out again that he was running the rebellion, that she was still considering him as one of her friends.

"I have to go." He said as he reached down, grabbing his bag back into his hand. "I'm sorry. I have to get this done. Even if what I find proves he is dead, then I have done all that I can..." He would kiss her forehead before moving past her and out the door.
