It had been a long time since the crew had seen action. For a long while, their traveling were smooth sailing. Darwin, Kaylie, and Artist had traveled among the outer edges of the Outer Rim. They had done a lot of things they hadn't tried before, or at least haven't in a long time. Darwin had been playing pazaak matches, participated in a low-tier swoop circuit, among other stuffs. Everything were going great until one day, he was approached by a businessman that specializes in smuggling medical supplies to various rebel faction. The man thought he was just a smuggler. After talking it over with Kaylie, they agreed to do the mission.

That's when the trouble began. The Imperials had been scouring every corner of the galaxy lately to weed out rebels. On their way back from dropping supplies, the Imperials had surprised the trio. Now they would have to deal with a team of TIE fighters. Darwin would be at the controls, using the Force to assist in the ship dodging all the green laser bolts. Artie would man the turrets, using his automated program to shoot back. Kaylie was probably sitting in the co-pilot chair next to the Jedi. It would take some time for the ship to be ready for hyperspace travel. The crew has an option of continuing to dodge the fighters in an open space, or they could enter the approaching asteroid field known as Roche Asteroids.

"I'm going in." Darwin spoke with a confident tone, steering the ship into the field. The YT-1300 would spin once to avoid one of the smaller asteroids, and moved left to avoid another. Artie was chirping in Binary. "Don't tell me the odds. I have the Force as my ally." He would wait for Kaylie's reaction to his decision.

Kaylie didn't like it one bit. She hadn't liked taking the job first of all because it had sounded fishy, but she had agreed to it because they needed something to do. Anything was better than nothing.

"Don't look at me. I think you're fething crazy." Kaylie said as she looked at the asteroid field in front of the ship. Instead of saying anything more, Kaylie pulled the shoulder harnesses over her and fastened them. "Yeah and unless you can use the Force to move asteroids, we aren't going to make it out of this Dar." She said as she squeezed her eyes shut briefly as they narrowly missed a ship sized rock.

Darwin smirked at Kaylie, "I've been surviving against the odds all those year. Do you really think this is any different, Kay?" The Jedi would move the light freighter into the asteroid field, moving left and right to avoid collision courses with the Imperials trying to shoot them down. If the TIEs were serious about chasing him through all those asteroids, they must have known that he was a Jedi. Either that, or their pilots were afraid of being executed if they couldn't catch Darwin and company. It was time to pull out the moves he had done during the Clone Wars, only that he did it with a Jedi starfighter and not a YT-1300 light freighter. It made no difference to him with the Force as his ally.

The young Jedi pressed on, spun and moving with several maneuvers in order to avoid the rocks. Darwin also fired on a couple of asteroids. They would make it harder for the Imperials to fly. "Still think I'm crazy?"

"Yes. Yes I still think you're crazy! Dar.....asteroid! Big fething asteroid!" Kaylie was slamming her foot on the floorboard like there was some sort of brake or something there to stop the insanity. She didn't really want to die that day, but if it happened, it happened. "Oh for the love of all that's holy, Darwin Sky!" He seemed to be having fun at least.

Once they were out of the worst of it, Kaylie checked the monitors on the console to see if they were still being followed. They were, but they had slowed down and one was gone entirely. "You lost one, it looks like, but the others will catch up." She didn't have a plan and she wondered what he had in mind.

"Duly noted." The young Jedi would have to continue maneuvering until they're ready to enter into hyperspace. Darwin seriously considered considered continuing to fly through the asteroid field but it would further freak Kaylie out. "Alright, punch in the coordinates and enter the ship the moment the hyperspace window is open. Dial in the coordinates for Roon." The Jedi might be able to find someone on the moon to help him find the right people so he can fight back against the Empire, but that's just wishful thinking.

The YT-1300 kept maneuvering to avoid the TIEs while Artie would man the turrets and fire back.

"Oh.....crap...." She said before he told her to dial the coordinates. The best thing she could have done right then was to stop looking out the view port and pay attention to the console in front of her, which was what she did.

"Roon? Really? Why, Dar?" She questioned as she glanced up briefly before she went back to programing the computer. It didn't matter, really. At least they would be out of the asteroid field and away from the Imperials chasing them....again.

Darwin kept maneuvering the ship through the asteroid field, he immediately changed his mind. "No, not Room. Let's go to Naboo, we might be able to find more people willing to help us." He told Kaylie. Since she's going to have to change the coordinates, he would have to continue to maneuver through the field before they're ready to enter into hyperspace. The Jedi continued to use the Force to assist in maneuvering.

Kaylie must be freaking out right about now. He had forgetten she wasn't with him during the Clone Wars. War had a funny way of bringing along a string of adventures.

Kaylie sighed and changed the coordinates to Naboo. "Yes, lets go to a super popular world where we're sure to be found!" She joked and shot him a grin. Inside, she knew he was right and that they would probably find more help there than anywhere else. So Kaylie input the coordinates and sat back briefly.

"Whenever you're ready, Dar." She kept her hand on the control and waited for him to clear the asteroid field.

When the lone freighter pulled off a roll, it was a close call with two of the asteroids. Unfortunately, two of the TIEs didn't make it. One would just explode on impact. The second one got the tip of one of the wings nicked off, sent the fighter spiraling and hitting one of the asteroids. Darwin pressed on his maneuvering, hard pressed to escape the Imperials and find the haven of allies. The YT-1300 light freighter had to maneuver to the hard right to avoid the last large asteroid before leaving the field, all while Artie was shooting kinda lousy.

With the crew out of the asteroid field, that left them open as a painted target. Just as the Imperial fighters was about to fire on them, "Punch it!", the Jedi assumed Kaylie wouldn't fail him. That the ship had entered into hyperspace. "Damn, even after ten years, this felt just like the day my brethrens got massacred. We better find allies on Naboo ASAP."

Kaylie glanced at him out of the corner of her eye after she made sure the ship got into hyperspace without too much of a hitch. "How does it feel like that? No one died here today, Dar." Sometimes, she really did not understand the Jedi, nor was she sure she ever truly would understand him.

"I'm going to go and check the engine room and make sure everything is ok." She murmured as she got to her feet. Kay paused for a moment and rested her hand on Darwin's shoulder before she vanished from the cockpit.
