Destrando City Conflict Comes to an End

KANZ CITY- After an extensive four-month conflict on Destrando City between Lorrdian and Argazdan mining guilds, relative peace has finally been restored. Newly-returned Representative, Roman Lekpin, issued a statement in the Senate two days ago acknowledging that Lorrdian interests and personnel would be departing Destrando City. Following this announcement, the fighting on Destrando City halted virtually overnight. Under the watchful eye of Moff Shirnoq's forces, Lorrdian and Argazdan rescue vessels landed on Destrando City to offer help and assistance.

Deaths among the Human, Ugnaught and other assorted mining guild members were surprisingly low, with the majority of lives lost amongst the Lorrdians and Argazdans. With no specific numbers yet, casualties are estimated around four thousand total and while the Lorrdians are withdrawing all personnel and assets from the city, the remaining Human, Ugnaught and assorted other racial guilds are choosing to stay and rebuild. Argazdan guildmaster Tolicerian Pavat, a survivor of the guild wars, has been named new administrator of the city.

Under a majority Argazdan control, Destrando City is expected to return to full operation within two months, according to a promise made to Moff Shirnoq's office by the new Argazdan regime. During the process of rebuilding and reworking, the search is expected to continue for nearly a four hundred Lorrdian personnel that are still missing.

Vigilance Technologies on the Rise Again

THOVINACK- Vigilance Technologies spokesman Ralph Torrent announced a major sale today by Vigilance Technologies that resulted in an extreme boost of their stock. "Taum Reese, Arramanx and Beta Olikark are now the recipients of the protection offered by the Interceptor series two drones and the Airstrike series three drones, allowing for the bolstering of their planetary security and further peace of mind." Vigilance Technologies is expected to sell a total of two-hundred fifty two drone units, the largest sale Vigilance Technologies has made since the attack on their facilities.

"Vigilance Technologies will soon be unveiling a new project that is intended to supplement the drone program," Torrent went on to say in closing, "By the end of the year, perhaps earlier, the new products should be available for sale to the general public."

Stark Defense Conglomerate Signs Major Contracts

LORRD CITY- Major Imperial Center-based defense contractor and munitions dealer Stark Defense Conglomerate has signed exclusivity contracts with the Outer Rim worlds of Maya Kovel, Ast Kikorie and Houche. SDC spokesman Lawrence Krupkin commented that the new contracts with the three worlds "immensely boosted Stark Defense Conglomerate's holdings, allowing for future expansion into other areas." Krupkin went on to say that, "Stark Defense Conglomerate is looking forward to serving more worlds along the Outer Rim and inwards towards the Core. We offer an increasingly wide variety of products to all who wish to fulfill their defensive needs and will continue to do such at a very comparative price when set alongside other companies."

Alyn Stark Steps Down as Lorrdian Representative

LORRD CITY- Roman Lekpin, injured in the Droid Uprising, has returned as Representative of Lorrd to replace temporary representative Alyn Stark. Mr. Stark was offered the position of Defense Minister by the returned Representative, but Stark declined, allowing current Defense Minister Alexander Moss to remain in office. Lekpin, heralded as a calmer, more moderate representative than Stark, is expected to remain in the office for the foreseeable future.

When asked whether or not he thought Stark handled affairs well in his absence, Lekpin stated that, "Alyn Stark is not the most politic of people. He has an abrasive side to him, true, but from my reviews, he handled himself accordingly and with the best interests of the Lorrdian people at hand."
