It hadn't been that long since Ana had met Alyn Stark, and here she was sitting in an elaborately decorated guest room on their wedding day. Mrs. Miteya, as well as Elena, Nadia, and Ina had been meticulous about keeping her from Alyn that day, and the night before, just after the rehearsal and dinner were over. It was tradition on Naboo, and apparently on Lorrd also. Either way, for the moment, Ana was alone and had some time to just relax. As much as she could at least.

There were nerves, of course, but not because of marrying Alyn. The 400+ eyes staring at her was what was the bothering part. She was trying not to think about it. When it came right down to it, she was walking down the aisle to the person that she wanted to be with more than anything. That was what was keeping her going.

She was ready and sitting on the bench in front of the vanity. The young lady was laced tightly into a white silk gown, custom made by a dressmaker from Naboo. Her hair was half up and curled, with a long veil and crystal clip attaching it to the chestnut hued curls. She wasn't wearing any jewelry except her engagement ring and a simple crystal bracelet that matched the crystals that were painstakingly sewn to the gown. Ana had her hands wrapped around the flowers that she would be carrying, red orchids and lillies at Alyn's request. Ana had tucked a photo of her mother into the flowers, so that even though she never knew the woman, she would at least be there for this.

The one thing she had done that Mrs. Miteya let her do, was have Ina deliver a card to Alyn and a wedding gift. It was nothing extravagant, just a pair of cufflinks and a book. For the moment, she just waited and tried to stay relaxed. And when it was time, Ana headed downstairs to the great hall where everyone, including Alyn, was gathered.

Two hundred people wasn't a lot, Stark had said. It seemed like a lot more, though, from where Stark stood within the great hall, facing the massive double doors where Ana would be entering through, preceded by flower girls (thoughtfully provided by Jendos Merced in the form of his nieces). Irlilia wasn't the only woman who wished to stand as a bridesmaid for Ana; Larna and, surprisingly, Malinara, had wished to accompany her as well.

Stark, with his hands crossed before him, idly fingered the cufflinks that she'd sent him at the last moment and which looked quite nice against the black tuxedo he wore, with the allowance of a single white flower pinned to the left pocket in Lorrdian fashion. Directly to his left from where they stood near the dais, Jendos, similarly attired, leaned close to his ear and whispered, "Getting a tad nervous my friend? I'm sure she's still coming." The last was stated with a hint of amusement. Stark chuckled and glanced over, looking at all the groomsmen.

Merced was there, looking happy as ever, Gadrid was present as well, his gray hair tied back and resting in a pony-tail held by a silver band. Mako, surprisingly, had set aside his armor and his scarred and rugged face appeared almost out of place as much as did his frame enclosed by a suit instead of his armor, but it was present. Also, surprisingly, Azaghor was there as well, looking extra pale with a black suit, but he'd not have missed this for the world, or so he'd told Stark. The only one not present, in fact, was Rukk'khrik, who'd not wanted to be the only truly non-Human at the wedding and insisted that someone needed to oversee security.

The grand hall, with plenty of room to spare, was now home to two-hundred sets of chairs, one-hundred per side of the aisle that Ana would walk down, the chairs arranged in rows of ten. It was a comfortable set-up, if nothing else, but with a full turn-out here and even more people expected at the reception, Stark was confident that everything would go smooth and calm. Naturally, a few faces hadn't gotten back with a for-sure answer of coming, and certain faces, such as Cambrist, weren't attending.

Now, he simply waited on Ana to arrive. Even as he had that thought, the doors to the hall cracked open...

Jendos' nieces were so sweet, but then again, Ana loved children so that made it easy to like them. The pair of girls were running circles around each other outside of the doors when Ana reached the bottom of the stairs, and when they saw her, they came running over. She had made sure that they had their hair done when she did, and they both were pampered like princesses all day. Once they were near, Ana dropped down to their level, handing her bouquet to the nearby maid as she hugged both of the little girls. "Look at how pretty you two are." She murmured as she moved one of the dark curls out of Rian's face. Her gaze went to the second girl, Ari, and she smiled. "You remember what we talked about, right? Smile like little princesses and when you get to the end of the aisle, sit with Mrs. Miteya and then in a bit we will take pictures and have cake, alright?" Ana took a moment to straighten the bows that tied the red sashes around their waists. Their little dresses were like ballgowns of their own, and the red sashes just added a little touch of color, and matched Ana's flowers. As the wedding planner led them off, Ana straightened up and took her flowers back.

Larna being there was a nice surprise, and when Malinara had asked her, Ana had been quite shocked. At the moment, the white-haired beauty was standing next to her, swathed in a beautiful black dress and heels. "You look amazing." Ana said to her while Mrs. Miteya affixed her veil into her hair with a very simple, low-profile, jewel encrusted tiara she had chosen. The tiara itself was nothing extravagant (as it could be), but the veil was a cathedral length, with a second layer of fingertip length tulle which would only be in place until she got to the end of the aisle. Traditionally it would have been her father to lift the veil for her, but since she did not have one of those, it was going to be Alyn instead.

Finally, once all of the bridesmaids; Larna, Malinara, Ina, Nadia, Elana, and Irlilia were through the doors and down the aisle, the wedding planner sent the sweet little flower girls together and Ana was left with Mrs. Miteya. The older woman was already teary as she smoothed and re-arranged the veil and the train of the dress, and just fussed in general. Eventually the wedding planner shooed the woman to go in the side entrance to take her seat and relax. Once everyone was settled, the woman pulled the doors open and Ana made her (what seemed like) long walk down the aisle.

It was a beautiful procession, with the sounds of Lorrdian wedding music playing for Ana as she came down the aisle. With the bridesmaids in their places and with the flower girls situated, having spread their flowers, Stark only had eyes for Ana as she came down the aisle towards him. For Stark, it seemed as if the world itself held a collective breath watching her. Ana was a vision of lovliness and Stark could feel nothing but adoration for her. The closer she came, the faster his heart beat until he took a deep, steady breath to calm himself down.

"Not bad, eh?" Merced's voice whispered in his ear and Stark had to suppress an amused snort of laughter at the man's inability to be anything but open at times. That was why Jendos was his best man at this wedding. In that moment, though, Stark didn't give a fig for all the detractors of their wedding; all the naysayers or even bitter Cambrist. Regardless of what anything anyone had said or thought about Ana, she carried herself with an air of nobility and grace that was more than enough for Stark. Titles be damned, after all.

When she eventually came to a halt, Stark smiled at her; a small smile meant to be both encouraging and convey even a small portion of the love he felt for her.

"You look absolutely gorgeous, my love."

As worried about it as she had been, Ana hadn't even noticed the crowd of people gathered in the room. Instead, she saw the people she cared about; Alyn, Irlilia, Jendos, Gadrid, Elena, etc. She allowed Alyn a small smile when he whispered to her, though she stayed silent because she was not sure she would be able to speak without crying so soon. It would likely happen eventually, tears of happiness, but not yet.

The priest, whom she had met only once before, motioned for the couple to step forward. As rehearsed, Ana handed her flowers to Irlilia and Elena straightened and fluffed the lengthy and voluminous train of her gown. "I've decided that a big wedding is alright." She whispered to Alyn with a brilliant smile as she took his hand and then used her other hand to lift the hem of her gown so she could move up the couple of steps (carefully) to where they would be for the remainder of the ceremony.

At least he would be able to appreciate, and hopefully smile at, her inside joke with him. At that moment though, she was with him and in a short time, she would happily be his wife.

Stark stepped forwards beside Ana, though not before pausing to whisper in return, "I'm glad you like it. You are the most beautiful woman here today, my love." The priest, an Imperial-ordained Lorrdian minister, was given a nod in greeting. The man was a passing friend of Stark's, outspoken in the Lorrdian community about converting from Vianism and it was an honor to have him here to perform the ceremony.

Stark fell silent as they took their first steps together towards the altar, preparing his thoughts. The jest of her not minding the large wedding had brightened his mood even further. Before them lay their future together, allowing for an entire lifetime of happiness.

Ana smiled at him through the beautiful silk veil, though she turned her attention to the priest who was starting the ceremony. He spoke volumes of them both; especially of Alyn and the man that he was and would be. He knew little of Ana, save for the fact that she would be a wonderful and supportive wife, which was enough for her for the moment. As he spoke, though, she held tightly onto his hands and tossed glances to him every so often. There were parts of the day she never wanted to forget, so she was committing everything she could to memory. Of course there would be photos and holovids, but they were nothing compared to the real memory of the moment.

When the time came to say her vows, Ana paused for a moment. Irlilia tried to hand her a plasticine sheet with the words written out, but she very gently and gracefully refused. The words had been read so many times that they were ingrained in her memory and she wouldn't need the help, but she would need a tissue before it was over.

"Alyn..." Ana paused, taking in a breath and giving him a dazzling smile. "Since the beginning, which wasn't that long ago, I was attracted by your intelligence and strength. You have supported me with your caring gentleness and generosity. There is nothing that I want more in this galaxy to raise a family with you, have a home, a loving life, and to grow old with you. In return I want to be your rock, your support, and the person you turn to when you need help and a loving voice. You make me feel complete and I promise to be everything you need and more. A love like ours is so rare that I do not want to waste another minute without it, and I will love you until my last breath. "

Ana surprised herself by making it through the entire speech with no more than a glisten of shimmery iridescent tears on her lower lids.

Stark was curious for a moment as Ana refused the sheet until he realized she had committed them to memory. Stark himself had not written any vows ahead of time, preferring to craft them on the spot, so to speak. This did not stem from any disregard to Ana or any lack of caring; if anything, he'd spent several days attempting to write vows that sounded caring and heartfelt and at the end of each attempt, they all sounded like falsehoods to him and far too planned out. As such, speaking from the heart, he assumed, hopefully, that he'd come with something better.

Stark inhaled briefly and then spoke. "Ana, you have looked past the exterior that so many people seem to judge off of, past what is open to the public eye and you have been willing to see what is truly underneath. You have been there for me through some of the highest heights I never thought I'd see and down to times when I believed there was no hope. Despite everything that has tried to come between us, you have stood firm with me and I always wish to have you by my side.

"You took an empty man and made him whole again, and for that alone, I would love you until my dying day. You make my life complete and no matter what happens to us, or where we go in this galaxy, I will always love you. No matter the distance, no matter the time, no matter what may come, you are my world. I love you more than you could ever know, Ana, always and forever."

Ana smiled and searched his gaze with her own through the thin silk veil. She had to blink back tears as he spoke, but every word was amazing and beautiful. The priest continued on then, talking about how sacred marriage was. As he spoke, Ana squeezed Alyn's hands lightly in her own before she dropped them to turn and take his ring from Irlilia at the appropriate time. It was nice to see her smiling so broadly, and happy for the two of them. Even Malinara looked pleased when Ana's gaze found her briefly before she turned and gave the ring to the priest to bless them.

Past Alyn, she could see Jendos and his huge grin and that made her smile even more. She took the ring back from the priest, and repeated his words as she slipped the simple band onto his left ring finger.

"I, Anaelyse, give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness. As a ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I take you, Alyn Stark, as my husband, from this day forward and forever." Ana smiled a little, dropping her gaze for just a moment as she calmed herself down, before she looked at him again and toyed idly with the new ring on his finger.

Stark had to resist the urge to stroke Ana's cheek, settling instead for squeezing her hand in return. As he felt the band around his finger, his thumb slid down to stroke it before he turned to Jendos, accepting the elegant ring he'd chosen for her and moving to slide it upon her left ring finger in turn, speaking his part of the vow.

"I, Alyn, give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness. As a ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I take you, Anaelyse Riley, as my wife, from this day forward and forever." He looked into her eyes as he spoke the binding words that led to their future together.

Ana watched him as he slid the beautiful band onto her finger. She hadn't seen it, but it was beautiful just like her engagement ring and would match just perfectly with it. Her engagement ring was currently seated on her right hand, as it was tradition, and she could move it back to where it belonged after the ceremony. Ana gave Alyn another small smile as the priest wrapped up the ceremony in his own beautifully worded fashion, most of which Ana had barely paid attention to.

Until he said they were husband and wife. It seemed more real then, and even moreso when he told Alyn he could kiss her. Of course he would have her veil to deal with first, but it wouldn't be difficult. She wasn't even thinking about that though, only simply about kissing her new husband, and not even worried about the long walk back down the aisle or the greeting hour afterwards. Alyn would be with her now and that was all she would need.

Stark paid little attention to the priest either; not out of rudeness, but because Ana had him so distracted. When the time came though, he reached out carefully, lifting her veil and folding it back before pausing a moment. He took that moment, which seemed to last forever, to gaze into her eyes before lowering his head to kiss her, finally as his wife. It had been a long time coming for them both, and any sound in the background was drowned out, for she was his world at that moment, from that point on until forever.
