| The Garman-class Mining Ship "Headwinds" would be traversing the outer fringes of the Lorrd System when a pair of Trandoshan Dropships would exit hyperspace across it's bows, running on an intercept course. The Garman-class ship would immediately redirect power to shields and fire off an enquiry to the Trandoshan Dropships as to their reason for setting an intercept course.
The reply they recieved was simple. A volley of blaster cannon fire slashed across the bow of the Headwinds, being a mining ship ill suited to combat it had little abiliy to manouvre away as the blasts flashed brightly across the endless night of the Lorrd System. A message would come across the communicator "Heave to, and prepare to expect boarders."
The Headwinds began to power it's hyperdrive for an outbound jump as soon as it was able to do so, but its old navigation computer was likely to take some minutes to plot a safe jump away. In desparation the communicator was opened to the Lorrdian Authorities.
"Lorrdian Authorities, this is the Merchant Vessel Headwinds, outbound to the Outer Rim, we have come under fire from a pair of raiders in small vessels of unknown origin. Please advise." would come in the message to the Lorrdian Military HQ.

| The Lorrdian Control received the the message and it was relayed upwards through the immediate chain of command. It was determined that the cruiser Justice would be an appropriate determiner to chase off any raiders. The orders were cut and a response was sent back.
"Merchant vessel Headwinds, aid is coming your way. Do your best to evade as you can and expect a response shortly."
The Tartan-class patrol cruiser Justice was already powering its hyperdrive, with the coordinates of the message pinpointed, for a jump to the location. Weapons were up and hot and within a few minutes, the ship jumped away. It would arrive momentarily.

| The Headwinds would return fire with its quad lasers, carefully avoiding a direct hit but glancing the attacking craft. As soon as the Tartan arrived the Headwinds would signal it's readiness to go to hyperspace while the two dropships gunned their engines up to full and head off in opposite directions at top sunlight speed, nearly as nimble as a starfighter they were quick enough to be able to out distance the Tartan and avoid the up-close "Inspection" that sensors required for a 100% confirmation of ship class. Seeming amateurish both ships would spool blaster fire (out of range) into the space behind them as they zipped away, both daring the Tartan to chase.

| With the raiders effectively being outside of Lorrdian jurisdiction with their movements, the Tartan, quite quick in its own right and capable of catching starfighters, slowed down, allowing them to depart. The sensor readings were odd though, not fully identifiable and stashed as something to be studied later. Coming about to be able to get a sensor reading on the Headwinds, the captain hailed the mining vessel.
"Merchant vessel Headwinds, have you sustained any damage or loss? It appears these raiders were quick to run, and an exterior scan shows little harm to your hull."

| The Dropships would remain within Lorrdian space (this taking place some way from the edge of the system), having gained a long lead though they would seek to enter a "silent running" formula, powering down shields and weapons to low settings, making detection difficult as they travelled on their own momentum through the systems outer reaches.
The Headwinds would as it prepared to jump would reply with the message "Hull not compromised, Shields were little tested as we were only fired on by Blaster weaponry not lasers - cheap wannabe pirates I think. Anyway, we've got a cargo to run, thanks for the aid Lorrdian vessel. Headwinds out." The Headwinds would then jump to hyperspace, bound Rimward.

| The dropships would indeed make good on their escape, with no further pursuit for the moment. With the Headwinds departed, the captain of the Justice simply sighed and shook his head with an amused smile. "Well folks, another successful day down. Set us a course back to Lorrd." With that, the cruiser would come about and execute a return jump to Lorrd.
