Lorrd, Auril Sector Sign Peace Treaty

LORRD CITY- Fighting that broke out due to unfortunate loss of life during the Vianist crackdown on Lorrd and other planets within the Kanz Sector led to a heavy-handed Auril Sector response last week. Claiming wergild, an ancient Tionese tradition of blood feud, Auril Sector Commander Hector Cynum descended upon Lorrd after declaring war against the planet for loss of a relative's life. Following the initial skirmish in which several hundred Lorrdian personnel and several dozen Imperial personnel lost their lives, and despite a tense time in which both Lorrd and the Auril Sector marshaled forces to their cause, both parties have managed to find a peaceable solution.

"It was touch and go for a time there," Representative Roman Lekpin of Lorrd stated when asked about the negotiations, "However, Legate Hues [of the Auril Sector] and I came to an agreeable compromise." When asked if the statement issued by Dominion Federation news station, 'Alliance News Network' was true about the peace between the Auril Sector and Lorrd being 'fragile,' Representative Lekpin responded with, "The VerDomFed? They don't even have boots on the ground, or in space, within the Lorrd System for that matter. If anything, they may have heard things offhand from the Alsakan broadcasts, but I assure you, Commodore Cynum seems a man of his word, and I am inclined to trust it. The peace is binding."

Moscha Wishes to Declare Naboo as 'Sister World'

MILTOKAZ- Moscha, located in the Nord System, had a festival today to celebrate the declaration of elected king Davin Riley's words that would proclaim the world of Naboo a 'sister planet,' at least in the eyes of the native Moschanians. "This is not a legally binding contract of any sort," King Riley went on to say, "Instead, both Naboo and Moscha, similar worlds in governmental form and with an equal love of art and beauty, should co-exist as sister worlds with each other, trading art and lore of each world as can be seen and appreciated in museums."

While there has been no public comment from any of the Naboo officials, it is expected that the declaration may go over well. Certain government officials of Moscha who wished to remain unnamed spoke of this in a rather detrimental light. "King Riley could have at least consulted the leadership of Naboo before such a declaration was made. This still strikes a number of us as little more than a publicity stunt to try and draw more attention to our world." Publicity stunt or valid reason to share between worlds? Only time will tell, and the Kanz Sector News will be here to keep you informed.

Veragi Dominion Federation Judge Issues Arrest Warrant for Alyn Stark

QATAMER- The Veragi Federation, also known as the Dominion Federation, the Veragi Dominion, the Veragi Dominion Federation and colloquially known as the DomFed or VerDomFed has issued an arrest warrant for Lord Alyn Stark under the grounds of selling hazardous equipment to a civilian populace, injury to DomFed law enforcement personnel, the death of DomFed law enforcement personnel, injury to a minor and lastly, the apparent bribing of a DomFed official. When this news broke, our Kanz Sector correspondent within the Kinyov Province went directly to the source for an interview with Lord Stark seeking clarification.

"Issuing an arrest warrant for me on such grounds shows me that, in my opinion, the DomFed lacks certain legal knowledge. When a BlasTech blaster malfunctions, the item itself is drawn into question, not the CEO of BlasTech, nor is said CEO threatened with arrest for a product's failings. I'll take this time to remind the populace that an investigation comprised of Lorrdian officials and investigators from Moff Shirnoq's office, as well as a member sent by the Commerce Committee to Kelm is still ongoing into the products in question. I for one, have no doubts that their findings will show my products to be within the proper safety guidelines."

When asked further about the supposed bribing of a government official, Lord Stark commented, "My conversation with Ambassador Baal of the DomFed is open for public review. Did I state I had a proposition for the man? Yes. I have tried to seek a meeting with him, first at Castle Stark on Lorrd, as well as on board Stark's Pride above Imperial Center and later at neutral site of his choosing so that I might discuss the terms of making an apology towards the DomFed's populace. While I still feel that my words were taken far, far out of context towards their law enforcement, this 'bribery' that I am considered to have been making which is attributed to, by their judge's statement, 'agreements which in the end would likely only benefit Mr. Stark,' were actually in regards to setting up a fund for those who lost lives in the issue at hand, as well as to be able to see their children attend college at a reduced cost. Of course, I have my personal doubts as to whether or not the Ambassador would accept such generosity. In earlier statements between myself and the DomFed Ambassador, I expressed a desire to see a GalacticAid facility established within the DomFed. I was saddened greatly to hear that, 'As in all likely hood the people of the Federation would rather destroy the facility knowing that it is associated with you, rather than letting it remain standing.' This statement alone moves me to distress, for it strikes me, in my opinion, that the people of the VerDomFed have no interest in apology or reconciliation." Our correspondent asked if Lord Stark had any concerns about the DomFed issuing a bounty for his extradition. Lord Stark stated, "I hold an Imperial Peacekeeping Certificate myself. The laws of such remain clear and open and even I do not believe the VerDomFed would go so far as to try to issue a bounty for me. This can all be resolved quite easily, but I feel that it will require an Imperial hand."

Despite the DomFed's banning of Stark Defense Conglomerate, Lorrd Engineering and Vigilance Technologies products within their sphere of influence, and despite the obvious detraction of Lord Stark's products, there were plenty of those who saw otherwise. Noted extreme Imperial loyalist and Governor of Acherin Draken Tu'Rot stated in the Senate, "Stark and his company are extremely worthy and LOYAL individuals!!!! I for one, have had a few items made by Stark, and they run at damn near perfect!!!" Senator Cambrist of Brentaal and Chairman of the Commerce Committee stated later, "[But] the Commerce Committee has received few consumer complaints about Mr. Stark's products." Pending the results of the full investigation, there can be no true call as to the claims made by the VerDomFed. When asked if he would remand himself to DomFed custody, Lord Stark disagreed, saying, "The DomFed's legal claim against me is invalid, in my opinion. I will continue to do my duties here on Lorrd and Imperial Center, both to my family, my people and my company."

The Ruling Houses of Lorrd declined direct commentary in this matter, citing it as a personal matter between Lord Stark and the VerDomFed.
