It took some time for Illiandra to calm herself enough to speak rationally to the Line Captain. "Line Captain Nelia, it's a pleasure. I read in your file that your ship has never actually seen any direct combat, which I am sure is disappointing to you. It is to me as well. I know how....difficult...it can be to be a woman in a mans profession, though you mustn't let that frustrate you in any way."

the Inquisitor cleared her throat, turning away for a brief moment. "Sadly, I will only require the use of your star fighters this time. Unless of course the Hutts start to get uppity, then you are more than welcome to do what is necessary.  Commander Harden will contact you when it is time, so I advise that your pilots stay on standby. " with those few, and possibly slightly discouraging words, the Inquisitor cut the line of communication and went off to find Harden, who was hopefully near by.

She was pulling on a pair of dark leather gloves when she found he man. "Are you ready, my sweet? I think that it's time to handle this little rat problem that Nar Shadda seems to be having."

As the Inquisitor departed the bridge, Captain Melorious Tegrim opened a comm channel back to the Impavid. Despite being outranked in naval terms by Nelia, Tegrim was still a vain, long-winded man who milked his position as Captain for the High Inquisitor's vessel every chance he could. It didn't help that the man was long winded, either. "Captain Nelia," he began in a slightly pompous voice, "On our approach to Nar Shaddaa, I would be appreciative if you would lead with your vessel in the fore and your larger vessel in the rear. This will give the Dark Words the middle ground as she is less armed than your ships. It will help as well if you have your shuttles loaded and standing by for deployment." He'd caught the byplay in which Illiandra's commentary about Bella not having seen any actual combat had come up and he was picking at it slightly.

Harden was indeed nearby for Illiandra to find, and as she mentioned the rat problem, he grinned, a rather unsightly thing. "Burn them all. Let the Emperor sort out the remains," he stated, quoting the 1st Purifiers' motto. "The men are suited up and prepared in the landing bay. We await only the word to launch. Target coordinates from groundside informants have placed our location in the area to several blocks of the Libs' recruitment center and the adjoining refugee camp. It won't be hard to sweep and clear. The matter of a cordon, however, could be troublesome with so many people present."

"There will not be any remains to sort out, Commander. His Majesty has more important things to do, certainly, than dealing with this triviality." She offered him a smile in return, unconcerned with his own. For a brief second, outside of the bridge, the Inquisitor paused and held up a gloved hand to silence Hardin. A very displeased look crossed her face for a brief second before she was gone, with Fenrir on her heels.

"Captain! I did NOT request that you contact Captain Nelia again, and I certainly did not request that you speak to her in such a manner. Very unbecoming of an officer, my pet, don't you think?" If the pompous prat wasn't afraid, he likely should have been. Unfortunately for him, the Inquisitor didn't give him the chance to muster up any fear before she hastily dragged him from his chair with her gloved hands and let him slump to the bridge floor. Fenrir, delighted, started dragging the the man by the leg. "Don't kill him, my love, just a little nom. We must go " She smirked briefly, and turned back to the crew.  "You're in charge, precious." She said to a wide-eyed second in command, before she departed once again.

"I am unconcerned with the amount of people, Commander. Civilian loss of life is.....unfortunate at best." She tugged on the wrist hem of the gloves slightly. "Officially, any civilian loss will be reported as....non-existent. Every death was of a rebel or a rebel recruit. How are we to know the difference?" Illiandra was entirely too casual about it, as evident by her manner of speech. She didn't wait for him as she walked towards the landing bay to see what sort of group was awaiting. Since she had seen that particular battalion of Purifiers before, there was not a doubt in her mind that this would be quick and simple.

He strode onto the bridge; albeit absent his usual cocky swagger. There had been an issue in the hangars, which was now taken care of, that had delayed him in his attendance of their briefing. Sometimes, the Academy could not weed out those unfit for piloting, and when a new transfer from the Academy wrecked his TIE while attempting to land, totaling the TIE rack in the process, it was natural for his presence to be required. Both to oversee the attempt at fixing the situation, and to deal with the pilot. Both had been done, but the repair, and TIE replacement, would have to wait for their next time in port.

As he entered the bridge, he walked up to the Captain. "Apologies, Captain. An issue down below; it's been dealt with but we are now short one TIE Fighter and need repairs to the hangar next time we're in port." he reported, his tone somber. It was clear however, the recent incident was not reason for his mood. He caught a glimpse of a woman through the holo, and that made his mood worse. He went to speak again, before the Captain could respond when the holo cackled to life again. Instead, it was an older man who looked like the navy had been his life's work. Once he had finished his additional orders, he turned to the Captain. "Alright, Captain, what are our orders?"

The first thing that Bella noticed was the fact that Cal was in uniform. Not just parts of his uniform, but his entire uniform. She was unable to comment as the Imperial Intelligence Agent came on the screen. "Yes, ma'am, I do understand. Thank you ma'am." The Captain responded at appropriate times. Once the communication was cut, Bella turned to Cal to speak, but was interrupted by a rather snobbish man (who frankly, was of lower rank and apparently had no manners).

"Sir," She started, taking a moment to be tactful as possible. "I've been given my orders and frankly, Intelligence and myself outrank you. I will, however, make sure that your ship is well cared for should something happen." She basically told him as kindly as possible to bend over.

Her gaze finally went to Cal and she forced a smile. "I heard something was going on down there. I trust my ship is in battle ready condition? We've got things to do." She said, keeping her gaze steady. "I was under the impression that you hand picked our pilots. Either way, I will not tolerate ignorance and I want him off of this ship, unless you feel like you can vouch for him. I'm not sure how someone like that would have graduated." Bella cleared her throat briefly.

"You heard our orders, Major. Assemble your best pilots and be on standby." She said before turning back to the console that was in front of her.

Bella paused for a moment. "Oh and Major Jackson?" It took her a moment to decide whether to say it or not. "You'd better come back." She had always said it to him, so there s no reason to stop then.

The XO did his best to ignore the sight of the over-proud Captain being dragged off by the odd alien pet. Opting to keep quiet about this, the man simply went about ordering the crew to their assigned positions and to ignore whatever else they might see. The Dark Words, after all, would be safe and quiet, so to speak, inside its protective escort. Down in the landing bay, the 1st Purifiers were already on board their transports. Three Gamma-class ATR-6 assault transports and four Delta-class DX-9 transports were sitting there, a little cramped, with two squadrons of TIE fighters in their racks ready for deployment. Illiandra and Harden would be riding down in the lead transport and with its ramp open, it was the only obvious choice.

Entering, Harden made himself at home, heading immediately to the cockpit and greeting the pilots. Once Illiandra was safely aboard, the transports would emerge one by one from the cruiser, followed by their TIE escort. In space, with Nar Shaddaa ahead, it was expected that the pair of heavier warships escorting them would have launched their own fighters and possibly ground support as well.

Illiandra was acutely aware of everything around her as she walked through the hangar and to the transport. "Commander....the TIE fighters? Are they necessary? I'd like to give Captain Nelia's squadrons a chance." She said. "Unless of course they are just an escort." She was unsure of his plan, but oddly, trusted him. Once she settled onto the transport, she heard a series of shouts in the hangar, followed by the clattering of toenails on the ramp.

A moment later, her four eyed beast was barreling towards her with a booted foot in his mouth. Fenrir had left a bloody mess of a captain for someone to clean up. "Oh Fenrir. Good boy." She cooed, which garnered a deal of strange looks from the crew. Once she was done fussing over he baby, she got up and went to the cockpit.

"Commander. Shall we? It's time."

"I have every intention of Captain Nelia's squadrons taking the brunt of any attacks that come against us, Inquisitor," Harden offered smoothly. "The TIE fighters we have are piloted by direct crew under the command of High Inquisitor Deschain though, and I prefer to have, in direct support of us in an escort position, our own men. There are rivalries even within the Empire, after all."

On Illiandra's word, Harden gave the order to advance. Streaming out in two distinct wedge patterns, the transports, along with any escorts, would make their way towards Nar Shaddaa. Once they were closer to the world, the twenty-four TIEs in direct escort would spread out to clear the way of any civilian vessels that might impede with the mission, though as nicely as possible. They hadn't come for a war with the Hutts or pirates, after all.

She nodded her approval, though by the time he had answered, she had nearly forgotten the question she had and no longer cared. So her nod, was more out of respect for the fact that he was speaking, and less about what he was speaking about. "I will require two captured alive, Commander. Just two." She finally said before she turned and left the cockpit without another word or even so much as a glance. The rest was left in his capable hands.

The Inquisitor herself was growing restless and antsy, and the voice that was whispering sweet nothings into the back of her mind was doing nothing to settle those feelings, and instead made it worse. So while she waited, she paced, much like a caged animal, near to the sealed landing ramp of the shuttle while the purifiers who were coming along for the party prepared.

The approach to Nar Shaddaa was swift and silent. Escorted by a protective cover of TIEs to all sides and escorted outside that cordon by any fighters Captain Nelia contributed. It was a clear sign of a difference in the ranks as the Inquisitorial TIEs with the single red stripe across their solar panels provided direct escort while Nelia's fighters flew interference.

Coming in with weapons hot, the ATR-6 transports broke off, heading for the nearby headquarters of Job Traders Incorporated which served as the recruitment center for the Libs. In the slum warehouse district it was located, the sprawling refugee camp that took up six dilapidated warehouses and almost four block was only a block or two apart.

Harden, via his helmet and Illiandra, via the earpiece comm he would have offered her on the way down, would be able to hear the pilot over the main channel as well as the individual squad channel if they so chose to switch over.

"Pyro Flight this is Pyro Lead. Prepare to drop all and move to air support. We're about to kick in the door." A chorus of affirmative responses followed the broadcast as the transport pilot of Harden and Illiandra's craft banked sharply and dropped the nose. The craft shuddered briefly as Pyro Lead released a pair of proton torpedoes directly at the front of the structure, followed by the thrum of four turbolasers raking the four story building.

The explosion of the warheads was bright even through the transparisteel viewport which flashed opaque. Chunks of masonry and duracrete were blown clear out the far side of the building. As the other pair of ATR-6 transports touched down lightly and began disgorging Purifiers, it was evident that while the Libs were taken by surprise, they were not completely unprepared as sporadic blasterfire emerged from the bottom floor of the structure.

"We'll give them another run and then drop you off," Pyro Lead informed Illiandra and Harden. Swinging wide around the building, The assault transport kept its nose towards the structure and gave all four turbolasers to the mid and upper floors before returning to its starting point. "Time for the real fun, Inquisitor," Harden said and even through his helmet, the excitement was evident in his voice. The whir of the ramp dropping cut off any further words and as it struck the ground with a thud, the Purifiers streamed forth to seek cover in the firelit night.

Several blocks away, the second half of Pyro Flight were in action as well, though slaughter would be more accurate. Two of the DX-9 transports were unloading their troops while overhead, the other two flew straying runs, pouring sixteen laser cannons worth of fire into the structures and innocent refugees as the tried to flee in terror.

Illiandra looked blankly at the tiny comm before she put it into her ear and suddenly could hear everything that was going on.  The blasts from the turbolasers were like fireworks, though she hardly noticed them until the transport landed and the smell of smoke hit her nostrils.  The blaster fire from the rebel compound hardly bothered her either, and she had yet to palm, yet alone ignite her lightsaber as she made her way down the ramp.

Briefly, she paused, sparing a glance at Harden before she left a crimson lipstick impression on the visor of his helmet.  "Don't disappoint me, precious.  Do not let one breathing being out of this compound, understood?"  She murmured before she made her way down the ramp fully.  Taking cover was not a concern, nor was the blaster fire.  Finally though, the Inquisitor did draw and ignite the lightsaber, to defect, with ease, the few stray bolts that came a little too close.

"Go on, kitten."  She urged Fenrir as he pawed anxiously at the ground next to her.  "Have fun."  The alien tore away from her and plowed down the first rebel it could find and began to tear him to pieces.  With a slight smile, Illiandra followed quickly, tearing out the earpiece and tossing it aside as she did.  There were enough voices in her head as it was, and she didn't need any more.  Harden could handle things from his end, and she was not much of a leader as he was.  In fact, until she had met Deschain (not entirely by chance she was sure), she had been alone.

To her credit, she made it quick for most of the rebels that she encountered.  Of course they tried, and tried hard, but were no match for the insanity that was Illiandra Kalogridis.  Not one survived the swath of destruction that she cut through the compound, nor did they survive the nexu that barreled through ahead of her.  For some of the rebels though, the Inquisitor took her time.  Though, taking her time simply meant that she didn't use a lightsaber to kill them.  Even the ones that swore they were not rebels did not breathe another second once she found them.

The trio of ATR-6 transports were shielded and armored, and as they flew a circle about the building, strafing the rear and sides to keep the Libs within pinned down. From the front, Purifiers armed with heavy repeating blasters had erected E-webs and defensive positions around the rubble. The surgical strike itself, with Illiandra towards the van, was backed by plasma rifle-weilding Purifiers backed by those with flamethrowers. More than one Libs member would make a nice burning pile around the area, but Illiandra would see, perhaps, three or four Purifiers carrying two limp forms of stunned Libs back to the casualty collection point (or CCP) that had been set up where they'd touched down.

For the most part, Harden had stayed beside Illiandra. His armament of choice was an E-11 rifle that he fired one-handed at times, counterpoint to the sling-assisted plasma caster in his right hand. Deschain had, after all, ordered that she be kept safe. Another salvo of turbolaser fire ripped into the structure's upper levels over their head and the building groaned. "I think it's time to pull back, Inquisitor!" Harden called over the comm, not knowing she'd removed her earpiece. "We can level this structure and melt it into slag!"

The refugees themselves were being scattered and hunted down. Hardly armed, they made the perfect turkey shoot for the Purifiers; many of whom were enjoying the ease and speed this mission was taking. Overhead, the DX-9s were still keeping up steady strafing runs.

Illiandra couldn't hear him, so she pressed on with what she was doing for the moment. The Inquisitor stumbled upon a family not far into the compound. A child and two parents. Of course, the father rushed to protect his wife and child, but he was easy enough to cut down with her light saber. Fenrir took care of the mother and illiandra watched the screaming toddler for several moments before she picked her up.

She walked back towards where she left Harden, the wiggling toddler on her hip. The screaming was more than irritating and was making her head split. "Commander! Have Captain Nelia send in her fighters. They deserve some fun too. Lets get out of here...I trust you have my prisoners?" she questioned before she glanced to the still wailing toddler. She was likely scared and shocked.

"And deal with this. Put it with the prisoners."  She said, dumping the little girl into his arms before she called for Fenrir.

Cursing as Illiandra continued into compound, Harden signaled the majority of the troops to fall back. Rallying the closest four Purifiers, he plunged after her, protecting her flanks as needed. He relieved the Inquisitor of the squalling child and handed it off to one of the men with him. "I'll make the call. Let's pull back."

Clicking the comm channel over, Harden called up the TacNet to Nelia's ship. "Bring in your fighters for mop up. Level this area and we are done."

She patted Harden on the top of the helmet before she walked away from him, leaving him with the screaming child.  Illiandra sauntered her way towards the area where the prisoners were huddled in their makeshift cage.  The Inquisitor wrapped her hands around two of the wooden "bars" as she peered in.  A subtle motion of her hand brought the nearest purifier to her side.  "I want...that pet.  And that pet."  She picked out two of the prisoners; a man and a woman, who were forcibly torn from the cage and forced onto the ground.

"So pretty.  And scared."  Illiandra murmured as she rounded the pair of rebels.  "And one of you is going to go back to your pathetic leader and tell him exactly what happened here.  Yes?"  She said as she stood behind them both, deciding which to ship off.  In a swift movement, she snapped the mans neck with her gloved hands and let his body fall to the ground.  Without a second thought, she did the same to the woman.  "On second thought....no."

With a smirk the Inquisitor turned to the cowering cage of prisoners as she debated their fate.  Let them go?  Let them die in the coming bombardment?  Kill them one by one?  "Let's go, darlings.  Captain Nelia's fighters will be here soon."  And just like that, she left them there to die.  If any escaped, surely they could tell the tale of what happened there, but it was likely that none would.
