"Karth....." Dani said as she stared up at the sky. They were in a field, and she was laying on her back in the grass. It wasn't an idyllic situation; smoke clouded the blue canopy and the ground was stained with blood and scattered with parts of destroyed machines. Fires blazed nearby; she could feel the heat from a nearby roller that was still in flames. In all actuality, it was nearly fifty yards away, but still burned that hot.
Her gaze couldn't focus entirely on the gray sky. Perhaps it was actually the smoke blacking it the sun, but she wasn't sure. The only thing that Daneira Farris was sure of, was that Karth D'Qora was close enough that she could hear his heart beat. It was a soothing sound amidst that of crushing metal or the clunking of boots heavily against the ground. They didn't bother her or interrupt the erratic train of thought that was rolling through the Jedi's mind.
Dark hair was matted to her forehead with sweat, and the fabric of her pants over her left thigh was soaked with blood. The dark color seeped slowly and crept further across the olive hued material. It wasn't that the gash was horrible, but it was large and deep enough to keep bleeding; caused by a stray part from an exploded machine. Dani just hadn't been fast enough. It was, however, dazing her to a point.
"Do you think that after this, we could just make things different? The way that they should be?" The Clone Wars hadn't officially started, but little battles were already taking place. Of course, nothing was official, and wouldn't be for several more months (as politics usually went). And of course, there had always been something for a Jedi to do, never any time for idleness.
After a few more brief moments, which to her felt like eons, she spoke again. "You could be a farmer. And I'll have chickens." Dani paused for a moment and a smile crept across her dirt smudged face. "I'll get you a straw hat and overalls. It will be perfect."
