The terrorists under Michael "Nene" Danes' command have been planning this for quite some time. Despite no response from Captain Farseer's militia, he was going to proceed with the current plan. Nene wanted to show how big of fools all Imperial citizens had truly been, having drawn into a false sense of security. The Emperor had promised security a decade earlier when the Galactic Republic were first transformed into the very first Galactic Empire. He mocked at the idea, and were biding his time until the present time. It was time to unleash his machinations of war. It was time to inflict as much chaos as possible. It was time to plant the seeds of deep sectarian violence between the Empire and the natives of Naboo. Naboo was the target because it somewhat serve as a symbol for the Galactic Empire, since it was the homeworld of the Emperor himself.

Even Nene has to wonder if the Emperor would care for his own homeworld. No matter. Examples must be made to show that no security are infallible. Nene did not bring all one hundred fifteen men. Even he was not that stupid. For now, he only sent in eight gunmen. Nene had managed to "convince" a ship dealer to give him a Theta-class shuttle for his gunmen to utilize upon their arrival of a starport stationed on Keren. Under a different I&D signature for the shuttle, they were able to slip by without much trouble. They didn't even have to smuggle explosives inside the shuttle. That would have alerted the authorities even before they had set afoot on Keren. Instead, the gunman, dressed in harmlessly civilian clothing without any weapons in sight, would be able to purchase several different chemicals that could be used to make several homemade explosives without much recognition.

One of the terrorists, with Nene's credits, had also hired a local slicer for the purpose of this upcoming mission. They went out to plant the explosives at either very late, or very early, hours when there were virtually no one around. Then the terrorists would wait until the daylight to come on, allowing several sentient beings to fill up and mitigate among the public streets. As noon had hit the day, in teams of four, the gunmen with armored vests and A280 blaster rifles would be covered in robes...as well as black masks. A team would be blended into the crowd at a market square, while another would be blended in with the crowd surrounding the Kwilaan Starport.

That was the moment a local slicer, stationed somewhere in the plains outside Keren, would hack into the city's HoloNet. A prerecorded display of partially-masked Nene would appear on the holoboards throughout the city. He spoke in his usual malicious tone:

"Greetings Nubians,

The day of reckoning for Naboo has come. The Emperor has lulled y'all into a false sense of security, and all of you must pay the price for his incompetence. You will experience the true wrath of the necessary evil."

That was all that was to be said, before the face of Nene's paused for a moment. At the very precise moment, explosions would be heard. A series of explosions, specifically three, had been set off almost simultaneously. The first one was hit at the bottom of the bridge right under the Keren Grand Arch. The second one had hit the site of the market square where the first team were nearby, about the same time. The third one would set off a couple of moments later at one of the docking bays inside the Kwilaan Starport. Aftermath, both teams of gunmen would uncover their robes and began firing at the crowd of civilians. The holoboard of the paused Nene would resume, and a playback of Nene evilly cackling would be heard over and over again.

Whether the Imperial or Nubian authorities would appear immediately to prevent the casualties from piling up would entirely be up to them, as laser bolts could be heard and smoke would be seen charring from a distance...anywhere outside Keren, that is.

The Nubian people had nothing to fear from Michael "Nene" Danes. Indeed, the planet Nubia was nowhere near Naboo, but the Naboo who called Keren home had nothing to fear from him either. Not on this night. Danes had succeeded in landing his people in Keren and even succeeded in assembling some explosive contraptions. But attempting to plant the devices at nighttime while the good people of Keren were asleep in their beds, dreaming the dreams of the innocent, was Danes' first mistake. For that was exactly the time when Master Sergeant Jame Wilky of the Royal Security Force was on the streets. To keep him company, he had a squad of Keren's finest and, of course, the cast of unsavory characters who populated the streets at night.

People thought Naboo was some kind of paradise, a peaceful planet with no crime. The Lake Country was paradise, maybe. And there wasn't a lot of crime in Theed. But this was Keren, the commercial capital of Naboo and the planet's entry point for all the scum the galaxy had to offer. Once upon a time, Wilky had grown up in Theed and thought that Naboo was paradise too. Then he walked a beat in Keren and realized he had a lot more growing up to do. That was ten years ago; now, Wilky knew these streets inside and out. They were his streets, and he was damn well going to keep them clean so that kids like he used to be could go on thinking Naboo was paradise on the Mid Rim.

There was a certain dramatis personae on the streets of Keren at nighttime, and Wilky knew all the criminals—if not by name, then by type. Offworlders sneaking around planting explosives stood out like a Gungan in a Miss Naboo pageant. The bars had closed an hour ago, and Wilky was on patrol in a closed-roof Gian speeder looking for drunks who didn't know when to call it a night. One of Danes's men caught his attention immediately. "There," he pointed the man out to his partner at the controls, "Same guy we spotted half an hour ago. Where does he think he's going? Light him up, Finny. Let's see what he's doing out here, and what it is he's carrying."

"Slow night," Corporal Finbar observed laconically as he worked the controls.

Wilky shook his head. "Call it a gut feeling," he said.

Wilky called it in. It was just past 3 in the morning. Red and blue flashing lights filled the darkened street around Danes's man as the Gian slowed to an amble and Corporal Finbar, on the driver's side, shined a spotlight on him. "Sir!" Wilky called out to Danes' man from the passenger side, "You need directions someplace?"

The terrorist leader had instructed the men to do what they were supposed to do in an event of local authorities prying their noses into the "business." One of the terrorists, dubbed Marty, would pause momentarily once the loud sirens had come on. With the flashing lights on and a spotlight was fixed upon the man, he would let out a seemingly annoyed sigh. That was the moment he slowly put the latch onto his shoulders, and let out a soft chuckle. "Uh, yeah. I'm lost." He spoke, at the same time, moved a thermal detonator into the pouch where the explosive devices were hidden away. While putting it into the pouch, he used the thumb to activate it. The terrorist then slowly turned around, taking his hand out of the pouch before taking a few steps forward slowly. Stopping, and raising both of his hands in the air to show his cooperation. "Yes, sir. I kept circling around the town looking for Frundle's Cantina. Could you help me?"

Marty would wait to see how the police react before deciding his next course of action.
