Jaemus. An unremarkable planet save for one, specific item. It was this item in question, the Galentro Heavy Works shipyard, that greeted Ninety-eight as he stared out the window of the shuttle that was carrying him and some dozen or more odd souls to the surface of Jaemus. It was likely to be an uneventful trip. His orders had been clear cut from the Blackfire Council. He was to learn what he could, avoid detection in terms of legal issues and, overall, discern certain information about certain businesses; everything that was likely to be open information, of course.

When the shuttle touched down, Ninety-eight paid his travel fee, received his stamp allowing him access to the world and would continue out from the starport into the city beyond.

It was true; the planet Jaemus wasn't much of a looker, nor was it that remarkable. The most notable point of interest was the massive Jaemus Shipyards, the expansive yards that were in comparison in size to the shipyards of Sulis Van. For the most part though they were strictly owned and operated by Galentro Heavy Works; as much of the government of the world, if it could really be called that, was also operated by the company. The moment that Ninety-eight and his "dozen or so odd souls" stepped off of the shuttle they would immediately notice one thing; security. Many of the halls that lead to secure areas in the starport where guarded by Stormtroopers; in fact the shipyards themselves where often filled with workers and the white shelled symbols of Imperial power.

Trying to find anything of important out on the world would be the more difficult position; due to the most sensitive information or anything that could be targeted was guarded. The citizens of Jaemus had become accustomed to the white shells of the Imperials. Many of which first appeared during the Clone Wars and stayed afterwards. Patrols seemed to walk the streets like clock work, with the citizens of the planet merely stepping aside from the patrols of Stormtroopers as they came down the walkways.

The Jaemus shipyards span gently over the world. Largely doing work for KDY and Sienar subcontracted from their Imperial obligations rendering them an effective KDY Subsidiary in all but the de-jure sense. Santhe Security provided the security forces for the yards themselves, running a tidy ship.

Several companies operated at the shipyards, producing a variety of attack ships for use by the Imperials. Security was tight, and patrols of TIE/LN starfighters were known to ward off potential intruders. Santhe Security provided personal protection to private docks. The garrison of TIEs present (likely at least 2-3 wings deployable) were a powerful deterrent to would be hostiles.

Ninety-eight was alone for this mission; the folk who'd taken the shuttle trip with him were simply people traveling for their own reasons. Oddly enough as well, perhaps, Ninety-eight had no interest in the Jaemus Shipyards, or for that matter, the Magrath portions of them therein. Once he was settled down in a hotel, he perused the localized HoloNet sights for information on varied businesses on Jaemus, to include any information available about the Magrath Weapons Foundry to include location, times of operation for business and the like.

While he was at it, he did a public background search on the Baron and Baroness themselves, looking at any public information available about the Magrath estate and its holdings and location on Jaemus. Naturally, with such public status the Magrath family held on the world, there was likely to be a wealth of information that was quite public and would be unobtrusive if looked at, much like any royalty. Of course, this information might or might not include links to the Magrath family who were located on Imperial Center; if so, he'd peruse that information as well.

When his research was complete, Ninety-eight would turn out the lights in his room and go to sleep.

While there was a holonet site, or what one could consider a holonet site, for Magrath Weapons Foundry; it was the bare minimum for what one could call a site. The only information on the company was simply that it exist. Beyond that there were no names of whom ran it, or who the weapon smiths were. However on the page was a small series of contact numbers, each of which would connect a prospective buyer to a customer service agent. This was due in part to the extreme attention of privacy that the Magraths had for their weapon smiths. They made sure that the smiths themselves were protected, and that their privacy that that of their families was ensured. This was done more than anything to ensure the safety of their employees and the said families that they had. Each customer service agent usually met with a prospective buyer at an office in which an order was filled out by both parties. Then after a set number of days to ensure a proper background check; or in the way of a proper document from a militia or military order was proven as legitimate; the order was taken to the main facility where it would then been filled out.

As such any information beyond the normal process of their transactions was limited; with the same attention to privacy being carried out when it came to the Baroness and her family. For the most part her background and private life where kept off of the holonet; this being an agreement set up between her late father and the former Baron of Jaemus and the Imperial Intelligence. After all her father was a man who had enjoyed his privacy and wanted to make sure that it stayed that way when it came to his children. This even extended to her spouse, the current Baron, whose history seemed to merely state that he was a living breathing man born on Jaemus.

Any information on their estate was limited beyond the simple fact that it existed; including that it was on the planet. There was no information on its exact location, yet another circumstance of attention to privacy, with much; if any; of their messages being sent privately from their own encrypted network at their estate, or coming into a private box at the local government building in the town.

Ninety-eight however would succeed in gathering some information; though it wasn't really anything worth noting. The information on the Coruscanti Magraths was more open than on the Jaemus Magraths. It even included an article in which it described the rapid fall of the Coruscanti Magraths at the turn of the late Ruusaan Reformation era; in which the patriarch at the time had seemed to squander much of their credits on half baked schemes and females of an alien nature. The article went on to further speak of the Coruscanti Magraths seeming to claw their way back to the top; though this too would see their fall once more. It was the outbreak of the Clone Wars that saw the Coruscanti Magraths disgraced the most; as they had sided with the CIS. A move which in the beginning had helped them as their own wealth skyrocketed for a time; however when the Empire rose and its supporters with it, the Coruscanti Magraths had their entire accounts wiped clean for siding with the CIS, an act which caused the Matriach to throw herself from her apartment window and drove the family into poverty.

The article would go on to speak of the Jaemus Magraths and how the Baroness' late father was given the title of Baron due to his service in hiding and aiding wounded clones on his estate during the Clone Wars. Beyond that most information afterwards was nothing more than the praise of the Jaemus Magraths for their work with charities and aiding their neighbors to keep their farms and ranches afloat; actions which had given the Jaemus Magraths considerable support among their neighbors.

( Query: Are we assuming the towns and whatnot on Jaemus are large, I.E. New York City size, or are they more akin to smaller country-type towns with the 10,000 people type population? )

While it was odd for a weapons manufacturer not to even have an address of some kind where requests could be shipped to as well, Ninety-eight wasn't looking for weapon smiths, or their families, so that portion was not of the matter. Granted, of course, the contact numbers for the customer service agents were taken down for possible future use, but Ninety-eight also wondered, if one purchased a Magrath weapon and needed to send it in to be repaired, how exactly could they do so when there was no address to send it in to and most sentients were not likely to come all the way to Jaemus just to hand off a blaster.

While looking through news on the Holonet, of course, related specifically to Jaemus, certain items would be hard to hide, especially in localized news. The death of such important folk as the Baroness' father and mother were unlikely to be hidden by Imperial Intelligence, and likely just as much, the institutionalization of a certain Gerard Devary Magrath. If, of course, such information could be found, then that would be the jewel of the search. Institutionalized on Jaemus, Gerard Magrath could prove a useful source of information, especially if sprung from the place he was being kept in.

The article concerning the Coruscanti Magrath family was indeed useful as well, and if it mentioned Benedict McAloon Magrath, it would be the true prize Ninety-eight had come for. Questions of succession, of course, while not capable of being raised by Ninety-eight in any official capacity to the Empire, who wasn't likely to care who took over the Magrath family name after all, could still be posed to Benedict himself; especially as to why he stepped down and away from the chance to claim such a title and wealth when instead he chose poverty. Furthermore, with the Coruscanti Magrath branch now existing in the poorhourse, more or less, they'd be tempting targets for offering credits in exchange for information.

After waking up, Ninety-eight was hungry and as such, went out on the town to sample some of Jaemus' dishes. He spoke little, preferring to listen. With the Magrath family here being so good to their neighbors and the like, people were bound to talk some, and with enough listening, Ninety-eight was sure he'd be able to hear a few tidbits that would help him locate their ranch area; not that he'd try to sneak onto it, after all. Sneaking about in the dark was not his forte. He would ask a few questions here and there, perhaps, playing it off as if, being new to Jaemus, he'd never heard of the Magrath family before.

((I was going with there being a couple of large cities, i.e. the starport location, shipyard worker cities, etc; with a smaller towns making up the bulk of the population.))

Paying closer attention to the holonet site one would see a contact number which would offer the means to ensure an owner could send in their weapon for maintenance should the need arise. This information would also contain a means as to how to ship the weapon, how long it would generally take and any other often frequently asked questions.

The news of the former Baron's death wasn't hidden, though it was very public. It also contained information about the Baron's youngest child; his youngest son whom was ten at the time of the accident. The article on the tragedy would give the information that it had been caused by a drunk driver who had run into the speeder. The location of the accident was also marked with a memorial to the late Baron and his youngest son. Ninety-eight would run into a problem though when it came to the institution of Gerard Devary Magrath. His own grief had been near the same amount of his mother's that it had completely broken his mind, thus for his own health and safety, and the safety of others he was institutionalized in a mental hospital; though sadly he was on a constant suicide watch, with it well documented that he had attempted suicides before while in the care of the facility.

Likewise it was on recorded that Benedict McAloon Magrath had left Jaemus on his own accord. There was even a signed testimony by him stating that he gave up the titles and lands to his sister, the current Baroness. When asked later he was reported to have said that Jaemus was too filled with death and despair of his family that he had wanted nothing more to do with it and just wanted a quiet life away from everything.

Another problem would arise though if one tried to speak with the Coruscanti Magraths, that being the lack of communication between the two branches. Since the initial split thousands of years ago when Jaemus was first colonized the two families had grown apart. So much so that neither family spoke to the other and merely considered each other as distant cousins. The only information the Coruscanti Magraths could possibly give was the same information that others heard from the local news, and nothing beyond that or what one could consider note worthy.

( Mucho gracias. Makes it easier to envision. )

The knowledge and information on the institution and Benedict were precisely what Ninety-eight was looking for; in some ways, it was more valuable than having actual knowledge of Magrath locations in terms of building. The Magrath estate itself wouldn't be hard to locate via other means. Ninety-eight's job was at an end and because of that, he'd enjoy a quiet day of relaxation before taking the next shuttle ride off-world.
