Arsix-class Fighter
Cost: 140,000 credits
Length: 10 meters
MGLT: 130 MGLT
Maximum Speed (atmospheric): 1,200 km/h
Hyperdrive: Class 1.0
Shielding: Equipped
Armament:
  • 2x heavy laser cannons
  • 2x Concussion missile launcher (7x missiles per tube)

Crew: 1x Pilot
Cargo Capacity: 15 kg
Consumables: 1 week

Description: The Arsix-class fighter is designed as a cost-effective alternative to the TIE when offered to the Empire and primarily intended for civilian use to replace the aging Z-95 Headhunter as well as numerous other older-model craft even up to hopefully replacing the R-41 Starchaser. With decent range, agility, speed and firepower, it is an ideal choice across the board for the discerning shopper.

---

Brenix-class heavy starfighter
Cost: 120,000 credits
Length: 18 meters
MGLT: 100 MGLT
Maximum Speed (atmospheric): 1,000 km/h
Hyperdrive: Class 1.0
Shielding: Equipped
Armament:
  • 2x heavy laser cannons
  • 2x Multipurpose launcher (7x proton torpedoes per tube OR 3x space bombs)

Crew: 1x Pilot
Cargo Capacity: 20 kg
Consumables: 1 week

Description: The Brenix-class heavy fighter; an excellent craft designed to compete with both Sienar's TIE Bomber platform as well as the Y-wing bomber platform. With a multipurpose warhead launcher, this relatively quick and shielded craft is agile enough to dogfight if needed or conduct attack runs on enemy capital vessels or installations with equal efficiency and precision.

---

Intrepid-class corvette
Cost: 1.3 million credits
Length: 165 meters
Hyperdrive: Class 1.0
Shielding: Equipped
Armament:
  • 2x Dual medium turbolaser turrets
  • 6x Quad laser cannons

Crew: 60
Passengers: 150
Cargo Capacity: 2,500 tons
Consumables: 8 months

Description: The Intrepid-class was created to compete with CEC's corvette class. A corvette in its own right, the Intrepid is designed for anti-piracy, anti-slaving and customs operations across the galaxy. Carrying a decent compliment of either troops or dignitaries, it can suffice for a number of purposes outside its designed norm. A moderately heavy weapons compliment serves to back it up and make this particular ship a well-rounded vessel for the price.

---

Influence-class shuttle
Cost: 40,000 credits
Length: 25 meters
MGLT: 75 MGLT
Maximum Speed (atmospheric): 850 km/h
Hyperdrive: Class 1.0
Shielding: Equipped
Armament: None
Crew: 2
Passengers: 45
Cargo Capacity: 1,800 kg
Consumables: 1 week

Description: Despite being designed to outdo the Lambda-class shuttle, the Influence fell short of the designer's dreams. Faster and with heavier carrying capacity, it lacks the armament of the Lambda, thereby limiting its usefulness in some regards. It is hopes that the cheaper price tag will convince buyers that the ship is worth the gain. Designed with a modular system, the addition of weapons is possible with the sacrifice of of cargo space and personal room.

---

Reliant-class short-haul landing craft
Cost: 50,000 credits
Length: 23 meters
MGLT: 60 MGLT
Maximum Speed (atmospheric): 700 km/h
Hyperdrive: Class 2.0
Shielding: Equipped
Armament: None
Crew: 1x Pilot
Passengers: 3 (with two loader droids)
Cargo Capacity: 100 tons
Consumables: 1 week

Description: The Reliant is a beautiful little shipping craft capable of hauling a good amount of items with a minimum of fuss. Unarmed, but decently fast and requiring little in the way of crew, the Reliant has decent range and capabilities. While competing with a number of transport craft from a multitude of companies, it's application in the military field as an equipment hauler is quite useful.

---

Indomitable-class command carrier
Cost: 35 million credits
Length: 3,000 meters
Width: 3,000 meters
MGLT: 30 MGLT
Hyperdrive:
  • Class 3.0
  • Backup class 12

Shielding: Equipped
Sensor Systems: Sluissi advanced sensor package
Main Computer: Sluissi Tactical Advantage computer system
Armament:
  • 8x Triple turbolaser batteries
  • 10x Dual turbolaser batteries
  • 30x Quad laser cannons
  • 4x Tractor beam emplacements

Compliment:
  • 10 squadrons (120)x Arsix-class fighter (or comparable size)
  • 4 squadrons (48)x Brenix-class heavy starfighter
  • 8x Reliant-class short haul landing craft
  • 6x Influence-class shuttles

Escape Craft: Lifepod equipped
Crew: 1,200
Passengers:
  • 500 troops
  • 1,000 civilians
    Cargo Capacity: 70,000 metric tons
    Consumables: 2.5 years

Description: The Indomitable is something of a white elephant with potential. Large, slow and not particularly agile, it is possessed with adequate weapon systems for a ship its size, but truly shines as a military exploration or command vessel coupled with carrier functions. The Sluissi technicians, having installed advanced computer systems, labored to make the most of a miniscule crew to maximize efficiency. While its potential as a command ship may be limited when laid alongside Star Destroyer models, it still has immense practical use in the field of research or long-range exploration. The vessel is completely for sale to civilian application with proper permits, with major discounts for any company wishing to purchase the smaller vessels to fill its hangars from Sluis Van Shipyards.

    ---

    Mantis-class troop transport
    Cost: 600,000 credits
    Length: 120 meters
    MGLT: 80 MGLT
    Maximum Speed (atmospheric): 1,000 km/h
    Hyperdrive: Class 1.0
    Shielding: Equipped
    Armament:
    • 8x Medium turbolasers
    • 6x Point-defense medium ion cannons
    • 6x Concussion missile launchers (30 missiles)

    Crew: 15
    Passengers: 400
    Cargo Capacity: 3,000 tons
    Consumables: 6 months

Description: The Mantis-class is something of a new development; a turn from standard starship designs and leading into more artistic work as well as functional. Designed as troop-carrying vessel, it's size and modular components that range from troop transport to prisoner transport to interdiction make it more into a light corvette despite its designation to the public as a troop vessel. Effective in testing trials, the Mantis has multiple uses in multiple fields. Ideally buyers will read its use and put it to their own ends.

    ---

    Scorpius-class cruiser
    Cost: 5 million credits
    Length: 200 meters
    Engine Units: 5
    MGLT: 90 MGLT
    Maximum Speed (atmospheric): 1,100 km/h
    Hyperdrive:
    • Class 1.0
    • Backup Class 10

    Shielding: Equipped
    Armament:
    • 5x Medium double turbolaser turrets
    • 3x Heavy ion cannons
    • 6x Assault concussion missile launchers (5 missiles each)

    Crew: 15
    Passengers: 600
    Cargo Capacity: 4,000 tons
    Consumables: 1 year

Description: Part of the new design of artistic ships (though Sluissi art could be questionable to some), the Scorpius is designed to directly compete with the Carrack-class cruiser. Faster, equipped with better hyperdrives, although less armed, the Scorpius is hoped to be a contender with more cargo space and decent room for passengers or soldiers in a transport method. As a patrol vessel, it is unmatched for its price though and is foreseen as a large seller.

Sorry, that was just my first reaction. Do be aware though I don't approve of custom designs without images (precedent here and here). I think being able to visualize a craft is very important, and can be surprisingly important when deciding weapons loadouts on custom designs.

Ok, so, pictures. Please note that the above listed craft look suspiciously similar to, but are not identical to, the following pictures. I will ask that this note be read again: suspiciously similar to, but not identical to:

    Arsix-class fighter

    Brenix-class heavy starfighter

    Intrepid-class corvette

    Influence-class shuttle

    Reliant-class short-haul landing craft

    Indomitable-class command carrier

    Mantis-class troop transport

    Scorpius-class cruiser

Okey dokey, let's get this stuff rolling. First of all, since you're only requesting the designs for these ships, I have no real problem with the request in question. I did notice that you basically copied the stats of the canonical ships that your designs are "suspiciously similar to" and scaled them back a fraction, but I can't help but get past the idea of "These ships are basically like these really old ships that used to exist, but they're just different enough that it's not completely obvious." Not that I have a problem with you using those pictures, just that it strikes me as a bit of a cop out. Oh well, that's not what's up for debate here, so I'll drop it.

As I said earlier, I'm okay with the requested designs, save for a few things that need clarification. I've checked the wiki and I'm going to need an explanation of what exactly "Sluissi advanced sensor package" and "Sluissi Tactical Advantage computer system" are before I cast an official vote. If you could elaborate on those I'd much appreciate it.

The Sluissi advanced sensor package is simply an upgraded and advanced version of the standard sensor package found in typical capital vessels. 'Sluissi advanced' refers to the fact that the Sluissi, using their own designs and methods, have increased the standard-rate sensor package by 15% efficiency in regards to scanning ability and power consumption.

Sluissi Tactical Advantage computer system is a Sluissi-patented fire-control system that also allows tracking of up to one-hundred vessels with maximum efficiency. It's more or less a mix of fire control, tactical control and an overlay that's been greatly improved upon.

Alright then. I vote to APPROVE, though I must stress that I'd really prefer it if you found some different, more unique pictures. Please.

I agree. I see what you're doing here and I'm okay with it, but I'm not sure it's the right venue and that, in fact, you're missing an opportunity here. I say this for two reasons; 1.) you are an avid starship designer and you're quite good at it too, and 2.) Sluis Van is known as the producer of some of the finest ships in the galaxy but there appear to be no designs for them in the canon. This is a perfect opportunity for you to do what you do with Ravak & Larben, but on a grand scale—that is, make custom designs based on a set of unique images from outside of Star Wars that you can bring into the RP and have them enjoy the reputation of being crafted by Sluis Van. This is what I meant when I recommended to you some time ago that you fold Ravak & Larben and just re-create them as Sluissi designers instead. You don't have to do this, obviously, but it seems to me that Sluis Van is really screaming for a more Ravak & Larben type approach, rather than passing off these dissimilar canon designs as Sluissi ones. I'll go with it if you want, as Karth has, but it seems to me like a lot of potential for awesomeness unrealized.

Oh, I do intend to fully create my own designs and build them as Sluissi products, Jace; I've hardly ignored that option. It's just a matter of getting the time to track down good pictures and work out the details. Usually I do such hunting on my occasional day off, and I confess that on my last day off, I didn't even visit the site; I'm trying to balance home life (RP included) with massive studying for my E-5 (Sergeant) board. There are still about 4-5 ships more on this particular list before it's complete and I'll throw in my own designs. In the meantime, I figured, people can start purchasing my modified designs and Sluis Van can actually say they sold something, outside of an unarmed station to Volus and a shuttle for Fitzgerald, I believe it was.
