| I would like to request two items. Firstly, is a long-standing manufacturer of various parts in use in the defense industry (components to weapons and craft, etc.), which will have made my character a rather wealthy and successful businessman, albeit one of little notoriety. The company would be called Decius Industries, and wouldn't be known at the galactic level, but rather more well known for supplying various small, local companies throughout the galaxy.
This first part is important to the second part, which is, my character would help push and fund the demerger and divestment of Rothana Heavy Engineering from Kuat Drive Yards, allowing Rothana Heavy Engineering to become a independent company once more. All previous RHE designs would remain property of KDY, with RHE being unable to produce said designs, but it would be able to keep its established infrastructure on Rothana and forge a new identity for itself.

| I APPROVE of the background info, including Decius Industries. However, as for the second part, sounds like a great thing to develop over the course of the RP, no? Especially since, from the summary description here, I'm not sure I understand how exactly Decius Industries is involved in advancing the cause of divesting Rothana from Kuat. Seems to me it's asking for more detail in an IC thread(s). (For those who doubt that a corporate merger, or "demerger" in this case, is suitable material for an interesting RP, it's been done before. Loran managed to have an RP about a corporate merger that involved a murder suicide mystery and conspiracy to conceal a chemical weapons program, as I recall. Just one example, that).

| I would be up for that. Essentially, Decius Industries is a source of income which funds the cost of splitting RHE off from KDY and then the resulting need of building additional capital and personnel expansion which would be necessary of RHE becoming an independent company for the first time in, perhaps, thousands of years. Anyways, I'd go for having to acquire RHE through RP if that is the will of management.
