True Crusader Request #2

Okay, with the successful completion of This thread, I'd like to request the following for the True Crusaders.

x1 Kiltirin Class Dungeon Ship
- With Ship Identification Codes and tracking beacons removed
- Many of the Internal cells removed to open up more cargo room
- Prisoner Capacity dropped from 1,250 cells to 250 cells

x1 GAT-12g Skipray Blastboat
- Taken from the pirates hired by the True Crusaders that had become "wounded" during the mission

Captain Gregory Rossfelt of the Imperial Navy, and Several Bridge Crew Members captured during the assault and capture of the Kiltirin Dungeon Ship. I'd like to request a prisoner exchange/ransom if possible, where Captain Rossfelt and his bridge crew would be sold to the Hutt's in Hutt space for a hefty sum of Peggats, the value of which generally fluctuated within Forty Standard Credits.

x27 E-11 Blaster Rifles (Recovered from killed Imperial Guards on the Dungeon Ship)
x7 Power 5 Heavy Blaster Pistols (Recovered from Dungeon Ship bridge crew)

The Above E-11 Blaster Rifles and Power 5 Heavy Blaster Pistols would be sold in Hutt space to smugglers, mercenaries and the like, with the E-11s going for a higher sum of Peggats because of their exclusivity in their use by the Stormtroopers of the Empire.

x30 Former Prisoners who join the True Crusaders (I was going to go along with the story that these thirty would be Mandalorians that had been forced to become mercenaries or pirates and had been captured, as Cole gave a quick description of the prisoners being transferred, with mercenaries and pirates among them.)

I'd also like to request a base relocation. The True Crusaders would utilize the new Dungeon ship and pack up their equipment from the current Albata Ing base and relocate to Metrmal

Okay, so. I APPROVE of the Dungeon ship considering the effort that went into capturing it, though there is something to be said for the identification codes, etc. being difficult to change. Impossible? No, I don't want to set that precedent. But difficult? Yes. It doesn't seem unreasonable to assume that short-range beacons identifying it as the Lockdown could remain in place--not unreasonable, I think, because wherever it goes a ship of that make and model is going to demand attention and suspicion anyway. Also, even distress beacons are only said to broadcast as far as a couple of systems. And I'd be fine with long-range tracking beacons being removed or turned off so that the Empire can't literally locate it wherever it is at all times, so that as long as the "True Mandalorians" don't use it in public too often then it can remain inconspicuous. As for the internal renovations, I'm fine with those; I don't think knocking down a few bars and walls is beyond the ability of the "True Mandalorians," although would you agree to have it be an ongoing process that does require someone with engineering expertise to work with you on it? You probably have someone with engineering expertise, either among the "True Mandalorians" or some of these new prisoners, which I also APPROVE though I'd prefer it be 20, rather than 30. The reasons for this are several. I also APPROVE of the weapons that have been liberated from the ship.

The rest of it seems a bit problematic to me, though. Namely, I'm not seeing an obvious motivation for the Hutts to buy this Imperial crew as slaves. The most obvious motivation—sticking a finger in the Empire's eye—doesn't seem like something the Hutts do, or would be interested in doing. The second most obvious motivation, I suppose, is just to have them as slave labor. But for the price, both in peggats and the political price, seems it'd be cheaper to get more common slaves. Another possible motivation—re-selling them to someone else at an even higher price—is also a bit dubious, seems to me, because I expect a lot of people in slave markets would be reluctant to buy (or sell) Imperial officers and crew simply because the Empire is so involved in slaving now. And the consequences if the Empire found out would be nasty, needless to say. And with the possibility that one or more of these slaves could escape or even just manage to get a transmission out when no one is looking, it's an awfully big risk.

I still maintain the fact that the True Crusaders have sole possession of the Imperial Captain and his crew as prisoners. The True Crusaders will ransom them back to the Empire for so much credits, if there isn't an agreement, then the True Crusaders will just kill the Captain and his Crew and put their bodies on display in some Outer Rim planet to show that the Empire isn't an all powerful entity.

Okay then, we're good now that you and Tremaine have agreed to split the crew 50/50. Just to be clear though about the whole ransom thing, I'd prefer if this was actually RP'd out both for you and Tremaine respectively if you both intend to do it, since it seems like a potentially difficult feat that's worth exploring in the RP. So, other than the expenditures mentioned here being dependent on the ransom being pulled off in the RP, you're good to go here as far as I'm concerned.
