| There are several conditions upon this request:
1) That Njon Anjiliac approves of Blackfire's operations in Hutt Space
2) That the use of these forces are solely and solitary for the mission to be undertaken in Hutt Space and then will be 'released' and not kept as part of Blackfire's assets.
That being said: mercenary and pirate forces, hired from a number of places to include the following ships:
1x Neutron Star-class bulk cruiser 2x Conqueror-class assault ships 2x Muurian transports 4x YU-410 freighter 4x YV-100 freighter 2x YZ-775 freighter 12x Y-TIE fighters 12x R-41 Starchaser 12x Z-95 HeadhunterAdded (23 Jun 2012, 6:34 AM) --------------------------------------------- A small addition that I'm throwing in, though this portion has nothing to do with the above portion. Would it be possible, with the monies and resources Blackfire has, to acquire a pair of Lucrehulk-class tankers in the Clone Wars refit configuration? For some of my upcoming ideas, I'm going to need some refueling ships of high capacity and these seemed the best.

| A couple of mechanical questions about the request; namely, what reason would these mercenaries have to believe this anonymous employer would actually pay them when the job is done? And if Blackfire is paying up front, what reason would the mercenaries have not to take the money and run? Here again I think Blackfire is hindered by its insistence on anonymity. Either way, I feel I need to know more about how Blackfire intends to pay these mercenaries who I strongly doubt would incur the wrath of the Hutts if the Hutts haven't given their blessing to this operation.
In the meantime, I vote to DENY the Lucrehulks. I think I recall saying on Blackfire's first request that it was the absolute maximum of ships I was comfortable approving for the entire Citadel organization. And Lucrehulks aren't exactly dandelions, either. I seem to remember management coming down firmly against "finding" Clone Wars-era Separatist warships—granted, this pertained to Separatist characters, but it seems to me the principle is the same here.

| Consider this request to be pending approval of Njon's investigation. I was trying to get a jump on it because I had the feeling it would be, in part, bogged down by red tape so to speak. That should cover the 'incurring the wrath of the Hutts' portion. That being said...
Blackfire's contacts and controls have access to a number of 'known' criminal sources; Malos Yhemn, Yhemn's connections, the Cantelagno Family, etc. As for payment, you must recall that there are steady incomes flowing in from a number of sources and operations, and they do have a large cash pool taken from Telos IV to utilize. As for payment, nobody is foolish to pay entirely up front and as such, one quarter now, the remainder upon successful completion. Even mercenaries have a reputation to protect.
In regards to the Lucrehulks, they would be specifically for the Citadel and not for Blackfire. I'm going to need some heavy-hauling fuel tankers for some upcoming stuff and those ships are among the heaviest listed. Everything else would have to be requested in much, much larger numbers. While it doesn't have to be 'found' ships, they can be purchased vessels. These aren't intended at all to be warships.

| If you just need tankers I'm sure there are less heavily-armed designs to choose from. (And if these tankers aren't ever used in anger, they don't need to be requested).
My personal policy from the original Blackfire request (which I re-stated above) is to regard ships for Citadel, Blackfire, and any other inter-tangled organizations as belonging to the same organization and to limit them accordingly. Hence I'm not making a distinction between requests for Citadel and requests for Blackfire, since they have the same boss. Otherwise, you (or someone else, I'm more worried about) could have separate Blackearth, Blackwind, and Blackfire organizations and request fleets for all of them even though they're all a part of Citadel.
I buy your explanation on hiring the mercenaries, btw.

| Fair enough about the amount of ships concern. The tankers, I can assure you, will never be used in an offensive action. If they happen to be refuelling the ship we've discussed that's mean to be Citadel's HQ and come under attack, they'll defend themselves and escape as best they can, but no, my intent was never to use them in a battle.
Am I safe to assume the mercenaries are a go?

| Well, now that I'm okay with the premise I need to look over those numbers. I just woke up and I'm building up momentum here, so I'll be back to requests a bit later this afternoon.

| Sorry, the Citadel ship took up all my request time last night and most of today, too. But I'll have a post here after work tonight.
I will, really!

| So I assume we came to an understanding on the Lucrehulk-class Tankers? If so, I APPROVE of them. Otherwise... with the understanding that these are to be used only in Hutt Space and temporary, I APPROVE of:
Neutron Star-class Bulk Cruiser 2 Muurian Transports YU-410 Transport YV-100 Freighter YZ-775 Freighter 12 Y-TIE Fighters 6 R-41 Starchasers
DENY 2 Conqueror-class Assault Ships 3 YU-410 Transport 3 YV-100 Freighter YZ-775 Freighter 6 R-41 Starchasers 12 Z-95 Headhunters

| Cancel the tankers. I won't be needing them now.
I do find the pared-down list a little funny, largely because I took it from the approved list that came here direct, but if you prefer me to not use such overwhelming force, then I shall go with what's been given here.Added (06 Jul 2012, 10:52 AM) --------------------------------------------- Anything further here or am I good to go with what I've been given?

| Overwhelming force. That was the key phrase. And this force is built for an entirely different purpose, thus different ruling. Anyways, you've waited long enough; APPROVED.
