Another Stark Request

| Well, since I'm more or less back-ish (won't be fully back until I hit Riley on Sunday evening), I'm popping out this request.
With the attacks on Stark Defense Conglomerate assets in the form of hijacking, raids and whatnot, coupled with the fact that Stark himself is unwilling to hire on mercenary security firms that are likely to continually re-negotiate contracts for higher prices and could just as well sell out to a competitor, Stark would form the SDCSC which translates to the rather long-winded Stark Defense Conglomerate Security Corps. Beginning with a core group of two-hundred men and women, Stark's hiring factors would include credit checks, background checks run through the Imperial database and strictly cull out anyone for criminal activity down to petty larceny.
The armaments and equipment would be specially produced for SDCSC personnel and would not be available for public sale. As an alternative to blaster weaponry, SDCSC personnel would be armed with a selection of the following equipment:
MX8 Assault Rifle-
- Round Type- 10mm caseless with either HE-tipped penetration variant or low-velocity variant
- Magazine Size- 95 rounds
- Range- 500 meters
- Firing Mechanism- Electrochemical propellant
- Sighting Mechanism- Iron sights or attachable 3x optic scope
- Firing Options- Selectable from single, three-round burst and full automatic
- Additions-
- Three-position butt stock
- 30mm grenade launcher capable of carrying four rounds internal
30mm Grenades-
- M40 HEAP (High Explosive Armor Piercing)- Capable of penetrating up to 7 cm of homogeneous steel with a casualty radius of 5 meters.
- M80 high explosive fragmentation- Effective range of 400 meters, when exploding, the round spreads over 300 fragments over a radius of five meters. Can also be employed as a hand grenade with a three-second delay.
- M100 canister- Comparable to a large shotgun round with a range of 42 feet
- M120 White phosphorous- Creates a rising smoke cloud and flame with a secondary incendiary effect against vegetation and material up to 15 meters
MX8a Light Support Weapon-
- Round Type- 10mm caseless with either HE-tipped penetration variant or low-velocity variant
- Magazine Size- 300 rounds
- Range- 600 meters
- Firing Mechanism- Electrochemical propellant
- Sighting Mechanism- Iron sights or attachable 3x optic scope
- Firing Options- Full automatic
- Additions-
M25 Smart Gun-
- Round Type- 10mm caseless with HE-tipped penetration variant
- Magazine Size- 600-round drum
- Firing Mechanism- Electrochemical propellant
- Sighting Mechanism- HUD display with infrared tracking mechanism mounted on weapon
- Firing Options- Selectable from four-round burst and full automatic

SDC 321-R Automated Defense System-
- Round Type- 10mm caseless HEAP
- Magazine Size- 2,000 rounds

- Firing Options- Fully automatic target-profile based or operator-controlled

M981 APC-
- 4x4 chassis
- Capable of speeds up to 150 km/h
- Armor capable of defeating up to heavy blaster cannon
- Wheels capable of being inflated and deflated as per driver preference to handle terrain
- Capable of clearing obstacles up to 0.5 meters in height
- Seats two crew and twelve passengers
- Capable of orbital insertion via dropship
- Internal TacOps center allows for monitoring of internal infantry squad and communications up to 300 km outside vehicle
- Searchlight equipped
- Defensive systems-
- Rotary-barrel smoke launcher, can hold up to twelve rounds
- Offensive systems-
- Forward-mounted turreted dual 20mm gatling cannon with 1,200 rounds each of either HEAP or anti-personnel flechette. Turret can only fire 60 degrees right and left of central axis.
- Turret-mounted dual particle beam cannon on rear of vehicle. Turret is traversable for a full 360 degree and is capable of being fired from TacOps center or via automatic targeting. Turret can move on a rail system to be stowed on the rear of the vehicle.
- Light mortar system mounted towards rear of vehicle, carries 32 rounds.
X-1 Dropship-
- 30 meters long
- 16 meters wide with weapon pods deployed
- 7 meters high
- 4x engines with repulsors for VTOL operations
- 2x crew
- Offensive systems-
- 1x turreted heavy laser cannon mounted under nose
- Extendable weapons pylons that hold 16x heavy rockets, 6x concussion missiles and 4x proton torpedoes

| These are simply too un-Star Wars. For this reason I vote to DENY all but the MX8a light support weapon and M25 smartgun. I vote to DENY those because, the debate about the efficacy of slugthrowers aside—if Stark wants to use them, he can—I simply don't imagine this kind of investment in sophisticated slugthrower technology in Star Wars. Slugthrowers exist in Star Wars, I admit. But find me an Imperial era slugthrower that isn't a piece of crap. I don't think you can, because it's quite simply insane to be investing in the development of slugthrowers when modern weapons technology is literally thousands of years more advanced. I cite all the same points I made on the Hammerhead request.
I also can't be expected to understand any of the terminology that's used to describe these weapons (i.e. "10mm caseless with HE-tipped penetration variant"—sooo, this is a slugthrower, then?).

| I'm going to have to side with Jace on this one. To be honest as well, there are FAR better ways to convert most of this to Star Wars without being a, and I say this bluntly... because I love, copy and paste job. DENY.
