Largely pursuant to the deal made here, which Lekpin would honor, Lorrd would begin sending some of their vessels to Sluis Van for refitting and reworking. At this time, this primary vessels being sent would be the quartet of Gozanti cruisers with the following modifications to be taken into effect:

1) Sublight speed increased from "slow sublight speed making it useless for raids" to 60 MGLT, allowing for swifter interdiction of vessels within the Lorrd System.

2) Cargo capacity of 75 tons decreased to 20 tons to allow for increased amount of passenger capacity, raising from 12 to 25.

The passenger capacity I'm cool with. But I'm actually surprised that I have not 1, not 2, but 3 1/2 objections to this modification, in no particular order; 1.) common sense would suggest that if it's so simple to modify the Gozanti cruiser to be faster, it'd be commonly modified or built faster in the first place, but this isn't the case, 2.) the canon statistics kind of are what they are, in my opinion; that is, the Gozanti cruiser is a slow, lightly-armed ship that's useless for raids, and if you want a ship that's not useless for raids I think it'd be better to request a new one, because 3.) it's rather against the spirit of the original approval of your request for the Gozantis, a slow ship useless for raids, to then modify them to eliminate the weakness that, presumably, was one of the reasons we approved it.

Now, I'm not saying people need to be hostage to the requests they've made in the past. If circumstances change for Lorrd then obviously it needs to step up its capabilities and modifying an existing ship is probably cheaper and easier than buying an entirely new one. But I'm increasingly of a mind that we need to see some use of the assets that are approved before more and more assets are approved on top of them.

However, I'm inclined to approve this over my misgivings because I don't think it'd be fair to drop all this on you at once. But could you toss up a list of Lorrd's forces? They somehow didn't make it to the fleet listing.

Lorrdian Defenses

The above is the current fleet defenses for Lorrd.

Part of the reason I wanted to retool the existing vessels for Lorrd (and perhaps one day swap the Acclamator-II for something more modern) was because I said I would keep (rather sure I said) the ships what they were listed at and not try to increase the numbers greatly or go too high tech, as at this time, Lorrd is still a rather small world on the Outer Rim in the grand scheme of things.

Partially, it offers some sign that Sluis Van is undertaking actual work rather than assumed work, and I chose the speed of the Gozanti to modify, rather than rework an already impressive weapons loadout; simply modifying the passenger capacity seemed rather pointless. As such, there wasn't too much left to work with.

1 Cardan IV-class space station
1 Acclamator-II-class assault ship Revision
2 Tartan-class patrol cruisers Freedom, Justice
4 Gozanti cruisers Infallible, Last Run, Sky's End, Blight (modified to top speed of 50 MGLT)
12 Z-95 Headhunters
12 HLAF-500 starfighters

Is the 50 MGLT modification I made above acceptable?
