| For a founding faction in this fashion just now coming up, I feel we can not allow, at this time, a series of custom designs. For now, I feel that the Vanguard will have to make due with available canon designs. DENY.

| If I may be allowed, I would like to make a presentation as to why I believe they should approved.
While yes to the site the Vanguard would be and is "new" however the history behind it is set up that they would be older than the Empire. I believe that these designs make sense for the Vanguard to have in the fact that.
- A. They are in the Alegri Sector, a Sector of space that is far removed from the Galaxy as a whole as it sits on the very edge of one end of the Unknown Regions.
- B. The sector itself plays home to the Gree Enclave, a section of space that is held by the isolated Gree Species, which are known for their ship designs.
- C. With the Vanguard being formed in the Sector around the Gree Enclave, it would make sense that they would contact the Gree for aid in building these ships, and it can be argued that with the Vanguard being their immediate neighbors they would be more willing to help in the development and construction of said designs.
I believe that these three points, among many would make sense as a reason behind the Vanguard having these custom vessel designs rather than the stock vessels that we are all used to see being used in the Outer Rim.

| Always allowed, and always listened to.
First, this from Wookieepedia: "During the Rise of the Empire era, the glory days of the Gree were long over and their history and technological secrets mostly lost."
However, this doesn't mean you can't have procured custom ships from somewhere else.
Thing is, being so far removed from the Empire cuts both ways. On the one hand, you're insulated from the major Core-based shipwrights to a large extent. On the other, there's not as much expertise or money on the Outer Rim; I, for one, have always considered custom ships to be a luxury, because even for a federation as far removed as this one, "stock vessels that we are all used to see being used in the Outer Rim" are far cheaper and more practical than custom designs.
Wearing my management hat here, with the above facts in mind and the fact that this is a first time request, I have to admit I'm not persuaded. I'm willing to hold the door open to the possibility in the near future, however.

| Understood, for the moment then I think we can close this as a request being withdrawn.
