Yhemn's a mercenary contractor, and a rather good one at that. Man's got contacts and whatnot.

He's bringing the following to the fight:

1x custom Aka'jor-class shuttle

1x Wayfarer-class transport

24x Y-wing starfighters

4x Planetary Defender Starfighters

With his (albeit quick) able to snatch up connections and the mercs on Kelm, the following would be brought to the fight (if there is one):

1x Interceptor-class frigate

1x modified CR90 that would fit these specifications

12x R-41 Starchasers

12x MorningStar-A OR MorningStar-B starfighters

1x YV-929

1x TL-1200

1.2. Players may have as many characters as they want. However, these characters should not go out of their way to assist one another or pool their ships, weapons, or money to the benefit of any one of these characters, or that character's organization. No two characters should have identical goals and desires.

I do vote to DENY Yhemn's ships being used. Yes, I recommended that Lorrd hire mercenaries on Kelm, but I'm not sure how this went from Lorrd hiring mercenaries on Kelm to Stark hiring mercenaries on Kelm on Lorrd's behalf and Stark's man Yhemn organizing them for him. Lorrd should be quite capable of doing this by itself. Stark is not the Defense Minister of Lorrd and Karth's strict reading of Rule 1.2 precludes Yhemn's involvement.

In that case, if Yhemn isn't involved, then the portion of the request that reads:

1x Interceptor-class frigate

1x modified CR90 that would fit these specifications

12x R-41 Starchasers

12x MorningStar-A OR MorningStar-B starfighters

1x YV-929

1x TL-1200

still stands, except that they would be hired on by Lorrd's government and not need involve Yhemn or any portion of Yhemn's forces. Or Stark for that matter. The above mercenaries would be hired, as you say Jace, via Lorrd's government.

There's a peace treaty about to be signed, is there really a need for these ships now?

Better to have and not need than need and not have. At least for the short period until Lorrd's normal defenses are back in action. Then all this can float away back to Kelm and go back to drinking and working minimum wage jobs to support ungrateful wives and significant others which leads to alcoholism, abuse of spice and eventually, getting locked up for domestic violence.

Fair enough. So long as they're not retained, I don't have a problem following the amendments. APPROVE.

I APPROVE of all but either the YV-929 or the TL-1200. Both together, on top of the others, seems like rather a lot of firepower. Pick one or the other at your leisure, Sir. (Or lobby Jaron to approve them both, thus overruling me. I'd be okay with that).

Also I'd like it understood that if a space battle gets too heavy, these mercenary forces will probably be quick to fall back to Kelm. They're also susceptible to being bought by your enemy for a higher price.

I think at this point in time it's reasonable to DENY this. The purpose these forces would have served is long, long over now. Lorrd still owes money to these guys, however.
