T.I.E. AN Starfighter Line

known as

"Anaxsi Starblades"

T.I.E. Starfighter Customized Model for Axum System forces. Designated officially as the T.I.E. An-1 Starfighter it is more commonly known by it's nickname given to it by the men of the Axxila antipirate fleet (alongside which many first served thanks to Anaxes providing a small carrier force to aid the Axxilian efforts); that name was the "Anaxsi Starblade".

The line was extremely popular especially during the Clone Wars in the Azure Sector and on the Colonies it still had close links with. Following up on the success of the first in the line (which gave its nickname to the line in general) the rest were produced in cooperation with Anaxsi designers; produced locally on Axum and exported to friendly worlds.

SFS retains primary rights to the model with a 75% share of all revenue (as it pays a portion of the costs at the Axum Sienar Factory) being directed to it; Anaxes' War Ministry retains a 25% share of profits and has veto on all sales of the craft in numbers above six to any single buyer, the Anaxes War Ministry is the designated reseller for the whole line. Being riddled with corruption as Anaxes is, Hubert Ordan's Azure Durasteel was selected from the competition by Sienar to produce the durasteel for this line.

A mix from this line will fill the current role filled by Imperial TIEs etc. All have disadvantages that made the prototypes unsuitable for the Empire (mostly cost) but Anaxes wanting quality was happy to invest in the production of a unique line in order to see itself having a military arguably superior but similar to the Empires.

AN-1 "Starblade" Fighter - The staple of the Anaxsi Fleet Starfighter Arm: Seen on many standard compliments.
Resale: Most popular item, on the market 10 years and counting, outsells all other models combined, a quantity sold to Imperial R&D.
AN-2 "Broadsword" Long Range Bomber - The Anaxsi Bomber: Seen mostly based from the Anaxsi Cardan Stations where they make up 25-50% of the compliment.
Resale: One squadron sold to Imperial Military Research, several small purchases from Core navies.
AN-3 "Rapier" Interceptor - Short Range Interceptor: Seen on carriers and stations, fast and well armed but fragile, used to intercept fighters/warheads.
Resale: Popular with Outer Rim worlds but due to price not sold in bulk.
AN-4 "Foil" Light Role Starfighter/Trainer: Usually 4-5 based at each Anaxsi Pilot Training Center off Anaxes, three squadrons at the school on Anaxes.
Resale: Popular as a TIE general trainer the galaxy over.
AN-5 "Falchion" Long Range Light Interceptor: Uncommon but not unheard of, deployed to systems which require long range patrols. Fast but exceedingly hard to pilot.
Resale: A few squadrons sold to planetary navies, popular with thrillseekers due to speed and so on the private market.
AN-6 "Greatsword" - "Lighter" (really Heavy Fighter/Gunship): 12 Based on Anaxes Cardan station, secret prototype design.
Resale: None - Secret project line not available or known of in public aside from as a prototype lighter used in the Rim.

It seems to all look good, after some rather thorough and day wasting review; however, can you please explain on the An-3 the long range laser cannons?

It's an interceptor, range would be useful. There's a long barrel depicted on the An-3 and I think it suits to have a Long Range cannon that allows the interceptor to be able to give the maximum firepower at say 33% extra distance than normal to intercept other craft (while staying away from them) and also torpedoes.

It allows interception with less risk to the interceptor, which is always ideal. At close range it'd switch to its standard (faster firing) weapon system in most cases to allow it to blast apart enemy craft.

The AN-1 and AN-4 are APPROVED. As for the others:

AN-2: What's an ArmaTek AK-21/14 assault concussion missile?
AN-3: I won't approve a TIE in this era with an MGLT rating in excess of 101.
AN-5: Ditto. Also, where is the astromech droid?
AN-6: What's an ArmaTek AK-21/14 assault proton torpedo?

The Missiles and Torpedoes are canon ones, theyre basically what they converted the "Heavy Rocket" used in the X-Wing games into, theyre a bigger more powerful but slower variant of the weapon indicated.

Why the reservation on MGLT? These are not "regular" TIEs, theyre a custom line of fighters for Anaxes that happens to have Twin Ion Engine drive.. The AN5 specifically is part ETA-Actis so it only makes sense to basically "be" the same fighter (which is what I've done, just transposing the stats).

The An5 would have the astromech droid fitted within the cockpit in the space behind the pilot. If this isnt acceptable, inside the hyperspace ring itself.

My reluctance about the MGLT ratings is based on me reading as a kid that the TIE Interceptor was a state-of-the-art design faster than any other interceptor to date. The TIE Interceptor has a rating of 111 MGLT, hence I wanted to keep these predecessors to the TIE Interceptor about 10 MGLT slower. This seemed reasonable to me until I learned, much to my annoyance but not to my surprise, that the prequels have wrecked another aspect of my childhood and gave the Eta-2 Actis-class interceptor a rating of 125 MGLT. Bastards. It wouldn't be so bad if the Actis-class was, as it appears to be in the film, a ship that's limited to Jedi use. But no, other sources have subsequently established that the Actis-class was a mainline interceptor for the Republic Navy. So, pardon my French, but fuck it all. I APPROVE of your MGLT ratings.

I'm still not sold on these missiles, though. I can find no reference anywhere to these specific names, and I'm not seeing them listed among ArmaTek's products. Can you choose something that you can provide a link to? Doesn't have to be Wookieepedia, but I need some sort of reference. Having not played the X-Wing games, a "Heavy Rocket" could be anything to me.

It is an "assault concussion missile" as described on Wookieepedia (bigger concussion missile or proton torp with more boom, think a cruise missile compared to like a sidewinder air to air missile being the regular projectiles).

Anyway yes, theyre no different from the un-named model in the article, its just Armek makes concussion missiles and torps and so I made up the designation because its fun.
