| Well. As I see it the "Royal Armada" would be wholly different from the Atrisian Royal Navy.
The Atrisian Imperial Armada is the force commanded directly by the Emperor and allows him to directly project his power within the Empire. The one tiny flaw with this being that it is completely outdated and inefficient. While it may notionally give a visible sign of the Emperor's presence to people when these ships are seen in their skies, it is known that the entire Armada could be laid waste by two Imperial Star Destroyers.
The Atrisian Royal Navy is a highly professional fighting force which has circa 10x the combat effectiveness of the "Atrisian Imperial Armada". The Navy patrols the region day to say and leaves fighter bases to stave off raids.
Grandiose things I'd like for the Emperor The Atrisian Fortress Ship
The Imperial Fortress Ship is thought to be an ancient construction in the order of 18,000-300,000 years in the past, most of the ships subsystems are not understood and arguably it is something akin to a native hut pitched on top of a bus. The Sage-Masters of Atrisia claim to know all the innermost workings of the device and that it was produced as a weapon to defend them against an invasion from an unknown terror. Non-anti alien scholarship consensus is that the species known as the "Celestials" produced this as they produced many other unexplained monuments such as Centerpoint Station.
The ship is unique in that it is made in a material almost as resistant to damage as it is rare in the galaxy at present, named Impervium alloy which has proven resistant to atomic examination. The original structure of the ship is an outer casing of Impervium, and within a yet stronger alloy of Impervium and an unknown metal of some variety, giving it the effect of Hijarna stone. aMany impoverished Emperors have considered converting the ship and melting at least the outer casing down however the ship itself appears to have a power distribution system that allows it to absorb even full broadsides from Star Dreadnoughts without damage.
However, much of the ship's working is not understood or at best not well understood. There are considerable sealed sections which have never proven tractable to opening. The propulsion systems appear to function to a reasonable extent, although they are slow and ponderous. What the ship does not lack (even with sealed sections) is space. The Atrisian Emperor traditionally travels the worlds of his Empire holding court in his relatively invulnerable fastness.
The original weapon systems on the ship are not understood by any scholar and have never been in the ten thousand years men have studied them. The plentiful power grid of the ancient ship though has allowed external fittings to be made that contain modern technologies such as hypercomms, weapons batteries etc. A network of towers, sensor domes, shield generators etc covers the ship's exterior.
Note: This is (while armed as befits a travelling Imperial Palace) more a city-ship than anything else. It's not usable aggressively (thanks to its propulsion quickly shutting down under Ion fire - thought to be due to the Impervium alloy being a good conductor of Ion pulses). The shutdown in power wouldn't hamper the external weapons fittings greatly (while they draw power from the grid aboard there are also a number of modern generators capable of maintaining power - except to the propulsion system which is exclusively powered by the ancient system aboard).
Description Length: 10,000m Speed: 5 MGLT Hyperdrive: Class 10 Power: Unknown power system - produces steady outflow although drops considerably to propulsion drives with sustained Ion fire. Hull: Impervium - Seemingly immune to laser and projectile weaponary; however, Ion weapons charge seeps easily through this ally and several volleys from a large capital ship can bring the fortress to a stop. Shielding: Frigate grade around fitted weapons battery areas. Sensor Array: Extremely effective sensor array allowing almost complete inspection of any item within several light years, able to detect incoming hyperjumps two minutes in advance. Original Armament: Unknown, legend says great bolts of cosmic lightning or fire. Modern Armament: Heavy Quad turbolaser Turrets (80 - 10 per arm), Borstel NK-7 ion cannons (60 - On superstructure), Point Defense Laser Cannons (200) [Do not cover Ion Cannon Emplacements on Superstructure effectively], Phylon Q7 tractor beam projectors (100) Structural points: Numerous skyscrapers, berths, hangars and palaces are built on the exterior of the craft, with still others located inside. The true elite of the court and the Imperial Palace itself are built within the colossal pyramids on the dorsal and ventral side. Compliment: Up to 4000 craft of small freighter size - usually considerably less except during special occasions. Hangars can dock even some classes of corvette. As standard there are numerous non-Imperial ships aboard but the Imperial Shuttle and 144 Royal Guard Fighters of mixed designation. Passengers: Up to 250,000 visitors. As standard circa 30,000 Courtiers, Bureaucrats, Officials and their families live aboard. 10,000 oath sworn warriors of the Royal Guard equipped for any eventuality. 25,000 Crewmen and Officers as well as several thousand droids (especially small labour droids to get into tight spaces help operate the notoriously temperamental control systems of the craft.
An aside regarding Invulnerability/Doomforting
I propose that this vessel is no Doomfort. It's a big very powerful platform but is vastly more akin to a moving palace than a warship. It's hyperspace speed is laughable, as is it's sublight speed.
I do concede though that there is potential for it to be used as some "behemoth of destruction" - as Jace once said to me "slow or not, moving toward your world with that much firepower is intimidating".
Except.. it is the classic "flawed giant ship". The turrets and cannons mounted onto the ship are in groups or autonomous structures, with their own (not awfully strong) shield generators. The strongest shielding is around the control areas and even that is only equivalent to a medium cruiser.
Well, so you have these big heavy turbolasers and ion cannons lined up protruding out.
Rogue Leader sort of explains how you deal with that.
So what you say! You can strip away the initial weapons batteries and batter down the control core shielding.
You are then free to use Ion weaponary (the stated weakness of the hull) to batter the ship's power system into a long shut down. Crippling it and leaving it drifting in deep space. Several frigates could batter the unshielded power relays into inactivity within a few minutes of sustained ion fire. A planetary ion cannon would be instant paralysis.
Furthermore - it does not have a fighter compliment present as standard. Meaning the Rogue Squadron followed by Capital ships style would be highly efficient in taking out this ship unescorted. Also, any world with a planetary ion cannon would be laughing.
Now, so you've crippled the ship. Yes the superstructure is (I propose) functionally invulnerable, an ancient monument of an elder civilization etc (although flying it into a sun/black hole/nasty astronomical phenomena/superlaser would do the trick. But really, while the ship's structure is functionally impossible to destroy, that hardly applies to the stuff built into it. With a pummel I don't see why one couldn't storm the ship or do any number of awful things if they wanted to.
The Atrisians are a people who clearly value culture and history greatly. And unless they knew help was underway imminently. There is no way that they would risk their great cultural monument, or the huge number of bureaucrats, governmental officials and the numerous other thousands of families who live there in various roles. They would sue for peace if their ship was crippled and disarmed - but it would never be deployed in aggressive operations simply because it is the seat of the Crown, if it were cornered while acting peacefully it is possible they might fight on.
But even so, if you had the vast morale, the number of men and quantity of material to do so (as with fighting a battle through any city) then there is no reason why you could not capture the ship. I don't see how the fact that the superstructure itself is functionally impossible to destroy with the weapon grade around in the RP, as a "military asset" it can be neutralized with conventional means. Ergo the strength of the superstructure is irrelevant to the fundamental principle that it is not invulnerable to attack in any meaningful way. It's like saying "britain is immune to attack" because you'd find it hard to sink our island - doesnt mean you cant knock our our air defenses and invade does it?
Fancy things I want:
A Royux Walking Throne for the Emperor - New purchase A secluded Asteroid Palace - New purchase
Atrisian Imperial Armada Invincible-class Dreadnaught Cruiser (6) Corellian Star Shuttle (1) - The Imperial Lander, possesses an independently powered reserve shield generator.
Atrisian Royal Navy - This is the highly professional and drilled navy of the Royal Navy. This force is almost exclusively defensive and follows the orders of Parliament. It would be extremely difficult to persuade Parliament to back a foreign war; as such to use these following ships beyond the borders of the Atrisian Domain will require a vote of the Atrisian Parliament (management call). Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser (1) Acclamator I-class Assault Ship (3) [Quad Turbolasers and Torpedo Tubes removed - Not really a line ship but rather a behemoth troop carrier able to dispatch most rebellions with smaller ships escorting it. Note lack of any anti-capital ship weapons, just a big heavily protected Troopship.] Charger-C70 Refit Consular-class Light Cruiser (8) (sorry I can't link, the bracket on the end breaks it) Republic Light Assault Cruiser (6) - [Armament of Dual Turbolasers (8), Point Defense Laser Cannons (2), Warhead Launchers (2), since its never established in the canon.] Armed Corellian Star Shuttle (6) [Armament of Twin Heavy Turbolaser Cannons (2), Point Defense Laser Cannon (10), Warhead Launcher (1), since its never specified in the canon] Broadside-class cruiser kdb-1 (4)
Standard Naval Fighter: A fighter with the stats of a Sienar Toscan 8-Q Starfighter but looking like this - The CEC-Koensayr Superiority Fighter, known as the "Hawk" or Atrisian Hawk - Originally a design intended for the old Republic Judicial corps it proved unpopular and so Atrisia purchased a bulk lot at a lower price than normal around 15 years before the Clone wars. Standard All-Services Bomber: BTL-A4 Y-Wing Starfighter Standard Long Range Strike Fighter: ARC-170 Starfighter Standard Planetary Snubfighter Fighter: Howrunner-class Fighter Standard Patrol Craft: The Helix-class Strike Interceptor
Planetary Defense Forces
Note: I'll be putting some basic detail into the Atrisian system and a couple of others then just having a generic elsehwere.
Atrisian System
Royal Naval Fleet Presence The Atrisian Royal Naval Fleet is generally scattered across the Empire in small squadrons and will only form up in large fleets in times of war or emergency. The full fleet may only ever be deployed in defense of Atrisia itself - otherwise no more than half its number may be in any given engagement. \
Atrisia, Atrisian Sovereignty Imperial Capital Planetary Shield - Atrisia placed during the Clone Wars as a way to cut off the relatively self-sufficient world if they were under siege. Derilyn-class Defense Platform over Atrisia Cargo Facility Mk1 (6) Loaned Imperial Communications Center - Antonius needs good comms and the Empire can provide that, he also knows they'll be listen to his comms. So he will be a step ahead by knowing what they think he's thinking. (1) Ground based assorted squadron on Atrisia in airbases or launched from the decks of ships at sea. (6)
Foreign powers and their forces permitted in the Sublime Orbit of Atrisia
Galactic Empire Galactic Empire Diplomatic Station Primus - Surrounded by a number of Communication sats - Also noted to be converted to have a suspected TIE Compliment of 24.
Atrisian System Royal Navy Berth (close to the star), at a safe distance but requiring excellent shield management, this allows the base to be almost impossible too detect or target with long range weapons Main Supply Base (1) The Ancient Corellian Yard built as a sign of respect for the degree of autonomy the Atrisian Empire maintained around since the Ruusaan Reformations (donated 150 years ago), still used extensively. Haven-class Medical, Administrative and Research Station (1) Type II Orbital Repair Yard (1) Telgorn Shipyard
Atrisian Royal Navy "Shore batteries" for the Berth and Yards The whole area around the berth is scattered with simple proximity mines and sensor alarm systems. This renders approach essentially suicidal unless the mines could be cleared (the process is estimated to take a week even with specialist Imperial Minesweepers. Behind the mines is a widely spaced cordon of laser defense platforms able to gun any down craft moving slowly and attempting to circumvent the minefield. Ld-12 Laser Defense Platform (24) - Minefield shell picket
Inside the sphere of mines there is a narrow approach (5km wide) to the much larger sphere in which the fleet berths. The entrance through the minefield is guarded by the following: Gun Emplacement (12) Md-12 missile defense satellite platform (12)
Furthermore, the following turrets are scattered at random in between the many large structures present. Gun Emplacement (6) Md-12 missile defense satellite platform (6)
Imperial or Independent Organizations present at Naval Berth
Kuat Drive Yards Artrisian Kuat Drive Yards Branch
Galactic Empire Atrisian Regional Strategic Refuelling and Rearming Yard Gladiator-class Star Destroyer often present
Corellian Engineering Corporation Technical crews and liason office on the older of the Spacedocks.
Atrisia Quintus (Gas giant with over a dozen exploitable moons) Colonial Diaspora Golan Space Colony II (18) Industrial Production Complex (1) Deep Space Manufacturing Facility (1)- This facility is armed to help protect the huge population density and so carries Royal Navy Officers and crew aboard; it is however devoted to the peaceful extraction of rare elements from the nearby Gas Giant's surrounding of moonlets and asteroids. Telgorn Repair and Refuelling Yard (1) Lormar-class Refinery Station (2)
The Quintus Defense Array provides the most well known defense line against attackers on the Quintus Colonies; its essentially a stop-gap method as small forces would not risk such an attack, wheras larger forces would (according to calculations) take less than an hour to eliminate resistance.
This comprises the following weapons: Sienar Command Platform - unarmed but coordinates defenses and calls for aid. (1) Ld-12 Laser Defense Platform (18) Gun Emplacement (6) Md-12 missile defense satellite platform (12)
Secret Component A short distance away, disguised as two asteroids orbiting a moonlet, there are two Asteroid Hangars, each with heavy sensor masks and built into asteroids composed of alloys unfriendly to scanning these appear like mining facilities but are actually able to disgorge between them 24 ARC-170s, 12 Howlrunners and 36 Toscan 8-Q Imperial Fighters.
Frisal system Golan II Battlestation
Kiliea system
Captured IGBC Defense Platform - Weird Geonosian fighters replaced with 10 Squadrons of Howlrunners and two of Y-Wings. Planetary Turbolaser (1) Theatre Shield over capital (Turbolaser located a significant distance from settlements) Three Squadrons of ARC-170 Starfighters based planetside
Imperial Facility Juma-class Military Space Installation - Used as a conduit through which the regularly raised Atrisian Royal Regiments pass and are given carriage to the Empire. Nebulon B-class Frigate (1) and several troop transports usually present.
For the other 197 populated systems there would be three grades of "Defense" that are mandated. Their actual level of force is usually roughly equivalent to what central government orders. However no planetary defense craft from any of these 197 worlds may fight on any other world - that is too say they are to be used "one off" if one is raided and not used to create an unbeatable death armada.
Heavily Guarded (47) Sites of Military or Economic Value (rich core systems)
Static Defense Minimum At least one Basic Golan Defense Platform or Bavos-1 Defense Platform
At least 6 Gun Emplacements, 6 Laser Turret Satellites and 6 Concussion Missile Turret Satellites per further populated world in the system, within that worlds gravatic influence.
Starfighter Minimum A minimum of 36 Starfighters (may be based on worlds or moons) for every populated world in the system.
Capital vessels minimum Four Corvettes and Two Frigates This may be substituted for Four Frigates or Eight Corvettes
Adequately Guarded (100) the basic worlds of the Atrisian Empire (affluent but not rich worlds in general)
Static Defense Minimum At least one Armoured Defense Platform or FireStar-class Defense Platform to be located at system capital.
At least 6 Gun Emplacements, 6 Laser Turret Satellites and 6 Concussion Missile Turret Satellites per further populated world in the system, within that worlds gravatic influence. An equivalent number must also be posted about the Static Defense Bulwark as this grade of station requires fire support on occasion.
Starfighter Minimum A minimum of 18 Starfighters (may be based on worlds or moons) for every populated world in the system.
Capital vessels minimum Two Corvettes and one Frigate (or two Frigates or four Corvettes.
Sentinel-only Guarded Worlds (50) the more "low value" worlds such as those used as hunting resorts, those who have declined in importance, those were industry has collapsed or the environment has for whatever reason.
Static Defense Minimum
At least 2 Gun Emplacements, 2 Laser Turret Satellites and 2 Concussion Missile Turret Satellites to be located at system capital (if economically viable), if not then militarizing a civilian space station (if present) may be a good option. Failing both of these, it is suggested that the world in question increases it's number of Starfighters, other Militia craft and also considers ground emplacements.
Funding is available for some systems to purchase a light defense platform.
Starfighter Minimum
A minimum of 12 Starfighters (may be based on worlds or moons) for every populated world in the system.
Capital vessels minimum The Parliamentary Defense Relief fund provides provision for the purchase of one combat worthy corvette if the world cannot afford it. Otherwise one Corvette.
Border Defenses
Thanks too a loan by the Empire, the Atrisians have an extremely effective method of enforcing their borders. As the dense region of space around the Empire is all but impenetrable without advanced knowledge of a route (closely guarded military secrets).
At the points where the Giju Run traverses Atrisian space (there are two, one in one out) the following installation is found:
Atrisian Side of the Border Imperial Prototype Gravity Well Station (1) A High powered Sensor Array (1) Gun Emplacement (6) Md-12 missile defense satellite platform (12) A Bavos-1 Defense Platform
Imperial side of the Border Cardan-I Station "Imperial Customs and Border Protection Facility 29" (Rimward border, 28 at Coreward) Imperial Customs Corvette (2)
Using scanners aboard shuttles all craft are searched and interdicted aboard the Bavos station or by a nearby naval ship. All cargo and personnel are inspected and checked for contraband and infectious diseases. On crossing the border each ship requires a digital stamp on it's paperwork as do all travellers. For a ship to not be bearing this seal when asked to produce it by law enforcement bears the penalty of death for it's captain and penal labour for all crew. Individuals travelling without an entry stamp who are apprehended will be sentenced to 10 years penal labour.
Epilogue
System Defense Forces look to their own defenses first, and so the ships vary from system to system but trends to emerge that are revealing. It is exceptional for System Forces to field carrier-based forces as this would demonstrate an interest in carrying war beyond their system. The few carriers in system ownerships are either prizes of war or ancient relics.
When "Corvette" is mentioned reference to system militia numbers (i.e. the number of local defense force present) it is a generalized term. The Corvettes commonly seen fielded by System Defense Forces are:
More common in richer systems The CEC Assassin-class Corvette - Only very wealthy systems The CEC CR90 Corvette The Republic Light Assault Cruiser
More common in poorer systems (may not even fit standard definition of "Corvette" in some impoverished areas) The Vanguard C-20 Retrofitted CR70 Corvette The Maurauder-class Corvette Foray-class Blockade Runner (invariably in poor condition, often literally are drawn from the System Military Museum as required. CR-25 Troop Carrier Muurian Transport - The Atrisian Ministry of Defense has accepted that three Muurian transports may stand in for a corvette if a system is in recession or within the bottom 33% of Atrisian Worlds.
When frigate is used in this context the common designs below are what are usually fielded. Richer systems tend to field more cohesive formations with ships being drawn in many cases from a single manufacturer or pair of manufacturers.
Exceptional examples of "Frigates" fielded by Worlds in the Atrisian realm (Extremely uncommon) Separatist Supply Ship [With 20 Turbolasers retrofitted in addition to the numerous laser cannons in place] - Where fielded this class represents prizes taken in battle being utilized with great pride by their captors. Trade Federation Heavy Munitions Cruiser - Another trophy type vessel, used and abused to become a rough analogue to the Nebulon B Frigate [Retrofitted with 4 Quadlasers and 10 Dual Turbolasers - No droids aboard (obviously)]
Frigates often operating in richer systems: CEC DP20 frigate Arquitens-class light cruiser Carrack-class Cruiser [Top 10% of wealthy worlds only]
Frigates used on impoverished worlds Pelta-class Frigate Interceptor-class Frigate Skipray Blastboat If a system demonstrably cannot afford to operate capital ships, Six Skipray Blastboats are considered equivalent to a Frigate, and three to a Corvette.

| The problem with this request, besides it being an classic case of "I WANT ALL THE THINGS!" right off the bat, as most do suffer from (especially with established elements), is that it would immediately place Atrisia several steps above the other worlds within the RP. You're asking for nearly triple what most others have; now while I am known for personally wanting bigger scope, I made a rather big speech awhile back about the feel of the RP. There's a certain feel, and balance, to the RP; and it is not my place to allow or force that to be infringed or disrupted. If this were back in the day, in A Galaxy Divided, this might have held a chance. Hell, the 11-12 ABY timeline, too, for AGW. However in what is today's group and setting, it is just simply too much. Do you want to try to tone down or re-work this, or shall I commence my cutting?

| Well, my rationale:
1. The Atrisian Empire consists of circa two hundred systems, it's not unreasonable to expect they would have individual system militaries (included in the request with a guide to numbers) in the same way most Imperial Worlds do. These planetary forces are thus confined to planets and are (as stated) Militia not line units, so perform worse in general.
2. It makes absolute sense that the Atrisian capital at Atrisia be extremely heavily guarded by a variety of defenses. This is why I have requested defenses appropriate to defend it essentially against anyone but the Empire. Because, well, it's second only to the Empire in terms of human polities within the Galaxy right now. Do note though that a lot of the defenses aren't at Atrisia itself, rather the Naval Docks (shared with the Empire) and the Industrial Colony elsewhere in the system.
3. The fleet itself (as in the Atrisian Navy) is large in numbers but (if you note) it's largely outdated ships. The Acclamators I am willing to nerf further - I just want them as troop carriers so would go so far as to remove all Turbolasers if need be. Aside from the Dreadnaught and the aforementioned Acclamators as troop carriers there's just a large number of converted Judicial Corps vessels (not optimal for anything except defense and patrol). Note that it can't be deployed outside of the Empire without management permission in another request. Also note the CSA Fleet is much bigger and more powerful, sure it has less ships but has a greater firepower and number of turbolasers.
4. The Royal Armada is a rather separate force, its not likely to be used militarily (its a bunch of ships which "Belong in a museum" and the only way it will end up in battle is if it's attacked. It wouldn't be operated alongside the fleet on any operation as standard.
5. Note that as of this request, only the Invincible-class ships and the Fortress-City-ship could leave the Atrisian Empire as per the request. None of them have any real potential for aggressive use and the force could be chewed up by even the Dantooinian Navy/Militia if it attacked Dantooine, with relative ease.
6. So yes - lot of stuff, none of it particularly strong, most of it only usable inside the Empire.
7. No, no single world could easily attack the Atrisian Empire - its a huge Empire. This is the case for the CSA and its a relatively similar situation here. A big coalition? Sure, most of the small worlds could be rolled up easily by an allied force.

| Not really. Go buy some bath salts and take a read. Its basically
1. A Royal Guard force of old ships and a moving fortress (that is almost impossible to destroy but not hard to disable and immobilize), unsuitable for battle but able to defend itself. 2. A deployable Navy (of Corvette-grade ships) under the control of the Government not the Emperor. 3. Static Defenses and space colonies in the Atrisian system and elsewhere. 4. Local militias depending on the size of the world designed to resist attack until fleet help arrives (like Imperial worlds have their own militias better and more ships for the best worlds and crappier for smaller - requiring management approval on a case by case basis to use and only in defense). 5. A walking throne and an asteroid palace at a secret location.
