WHEREAS, Senator Forte of Ryloth is known to be a being of poor character and repute, and

WHEREAS, Senator Forte has shown contempt for and uttered aspersions upon the form of government of the New Republic and,

WHEREAS, Senator Forte has been censured by the Senate on several occasions for, among other disreputable conduct, "advocating measures of immoderate federalism incompatible with the Common Charter," and

WHEREAS, Senator Forte was a proponent of the Confederacy of Independent Systems and was, therefore, a proponent of disunion and disorder, and

WHEREAS, Senator Forte has, in recent days, advocated views that have the potential to once again incite disunion and disorder and, moreover, he has been unable to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Senate that this is not, in fact, what he intends to do, and

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the government of Eriadu to prevent disunion and disorder among its good and industrious people, so that they, and their children, may live peaceful and productive lives free of subversive and misanthropic influences,

THEREFORE, Senator Forte is hereby discouraged from visiting, vacationing, or otherwise residing on the sovereign and beneficent world of Eriadu and, should he do so, shall be regarded by judicial forces as an agent provocateur and, should he be heard to utter aspersions upon Eriadu, its people, or the composition of its government, shall be subject to fine, detention and/or deportation

by the decree of His Renown, the Most Beneficent Governor Johannes Bates Oswaldt of Eriadu, on the twenty eighth of Elona, 20 ABY, with the advice and consent of the Eriadu Legislature and the House of Egalitry.

Senator Oswaldt...why would I even want to step foot on a polluted ball of waste that barely fits the bill of a habitable planet?

I assume the planet that Senator Forte refers to is Ryloth? If so, indeed I can't fathom a reason to visit it either.

Oh no, Senator, you seem to be confused...Ryloth is a hot, challenging place for life...and where people such as yourself have enslaved innocents for thousands of years. No, no, no...I refer to your world of Eriadu that makes Raxus Prime look like Naboo in comparison.

You refer to pollution on Eriadu, Sir, but I call it progress. My world is destined to be the Coruscant of the Outer Rim. Your world is, in comparison, a hell hole and a piss pot.

Johannes Oswaldt
Senator and Governor of Eriadu

On Ryloth, you can take a breath of fresh air without developing cancer ten minutes later... heaven and hell must be a confusing topic for you...

Perhaps the reason one doesn't develop cancer after ten minutes on the surface of Ryloth is that one cannot live for ten minutes on the surface of Ryloth without being burned to death or, alternatively, being torn limb from limb by a ravenous beast. It is a charming planet indeed, Senator. That is, the 10 or so percent of it capable of supporting life. Remind me, what is Ryloth's primary export? Is it drugs or prostitutes? I forget which.

Forgive my intrusion, but I don't see any point in attempting to prevent Senator Forte from visiting Eriadu. Also, shouldn't you and Forte argue which world is worse outside the Senate Hall? The Senate is not the place for a such thing to take place. I would recommend both of you taking it outside the hall, the Senate doesn't need to and doesn't have time to hear this sort of discussion. We have more important matters to attend to.

Governor Oswaldt.

I do not believe we can hold these Twi'leks to account for being capable only of exporting drugs or selling their affections. Senator Forte remains a key example of the utter ineptitude of Twi'leks in any career that is not one of the above. I have expounded in my Tract "The Twi'lek Question", they are clearly a sub-sentient species, and as such cannot be considered to be able to enter any profession.

This is one of the main reasons the Hutts have traditionally "enslaved" this species, out of a paternalistic benevolent love, wishing to take them under our wing and allow them to labour honestly as workers rather then being forced into vice and narcotics abuse as their childlike and animalistic tendancies.

To protect them from the evils of the galaxy, rather than see them suffer under their own moronic leadership, and indeed from the ravenous beasts which daily feast upon them on their homeworld.
