Since Baltimn was now unsafe a declaration was made to relocate the Neimoidian Research Institute to study a star with quite interesting magnetic radiation, this one was Druckenwell.

Immediately outside of the Druckenwell system, around 5 minutes Hyperspace jump away in Deep Space and marginally beyond Druckenwell border and sensor range, the Lucrehulk-class Freighter "Benevolent Trader" exited Hyperspace. Aboard it was the Neimoidian XQ6 Platform formerly assigned to be placed to threaten Druckenwell and more recently Mandalore.

An Assassin-class Corvette escorted the massive freighter as it unloaded the modular components of the XQ6 Space Station, over two score small tenders exiting from the other side of the Lucrehulk's hull and tractoring the various components into position. Tugs and people in Mobility Suits moved around in deep space, assembling the space station within two days continuous work.

Eventually the "Neimoidian Research Institute: Outer Rim" was fully put into activity, as its compliment of 24 B-Wings, and 12 X-Wings flew from their storage in the Neimoidian Lucrehulk to their hangars on the XQ6, purely there for defensive purposes in this unstable region of space. Following them from the Hangar was the 9 vessels (Mixed shuttles with additional sensor arrays) which were the "real purpose" of the installation, each had a device to measure the effects and level of solar wind.

These vessels regularly would ply the space around the station, giving the 40 ex-New Republic pilots aboard time to practice their trade of flying on the regular scanning trips. While the station was largely empty, it was manned by 5 Officers, 20 Crewmen, 500 Various Droids, 40 Pilots, 100 Scientists and Research Students, along with 50 Neimoidian Marines, for Security Purposes more room for cargo, construction facilities and other such features was easily availible, leaving almost half of the station's superstructure uninhabited.

After construction was finished and crew transfered, the Neimoidian Lucrehulk locked its tractor beams onto the space station, and laboriously dragged it into sensor range of Druckenwell, while keeping it outside of its officially marked territory.

when the vessel came within sensor range, it was of course, scanned, and seeing that it matched the profile of a known neimoidian station based for research, it was largely ignored by the druckenwell folk. it wasn't breaking any laws as such and, not being inside druckenwell space, was not within their sphere of influence.
