Mr. Massey, allow me to extend a warm welcome from the InterGalactic Mining Core. You are correct in the assumption that the InterGalactic Mining Core and her subsidiaries wish to engage in a new contracting lease with Kuat Drive Yards. As you are aware, or not aware of, the InterGalactic Merchants Conglomerate (a subsidiary of the InterGalactic Mining Core) recently declared their ports neutral from the IMC, thereby opening up markets to districts not entirely safe. In the interests of keeping IMC property, and the planetary bodies that we are working with, the InterGalactic Mining Core has saw fit to begin conducting a pilot project to build and maintain a workable navy within the InterGalactic Mining Core.

As I was informing Senator Carson, this originally involved the creation of the Prometheus design between the Outlying Shipping Corporation and the InterGalactic Mining Core. However, the Outlying Shipping Corporation recently backed out of the agreement, and our facilities on Mrlsst are simply incapable of producing or maintaining a workable fleet. Therefore, the Board of Trustee's has saw fit to begin a pilot project with yours truly, Kuat Drive Yards.

The project is three-pronged; beginning with the production of two Prometheus-class Carriers for review by our board. If the project is feasible (of which I have no doubt) then the Board will review the expenditures and budget for the project and move to phase two, which will be the maintenance of the crafts currently in our fleet which were purchased from third party sources. The last phase of the project would be the construction of new vessels for the IMC; a phase which is of little importance right now, as we prepare to launch the pilot project and begin maintenance of our vessels.

In the interests of streamlining the process, I will break down the InterGalactic Mining Cores requirements for the current order. Put simply, we would like you to construct two Prometheus-class Carriers, and to discuss a possible contract with Kuat Drive Yards to maintain our fleet at regular intervals.
