Circa March 12th, 2009 "Ladies and Gentlement, if you will all be seated we have a lot to discuss today. As you are no doubt aware, the Tapani Sector has been embroiled with battle lately over the continuing feud between Noble Houses Calipsa and Reena. The InterGalactic Mining Core recently brokered a mining treaty with the government of the planet Canti, prior to the attack by Calipsa forces. We are told now that a cessation of hostilities is in talks between the rebel forces and the government of Canti, but the planet has officially seceded to the House Calipsa dominion. More on this information is not privy to the InterGalactic Mining Core who, as you all know, is interested in humanitarian and mining rights on the planet. As such, our Donations department has recently opened up a new charitable quarter for the planet Canti, and we are beginning the rebuilding of those cities hit hardest by the fallout of conflict between the rebels and House Calipsa. We are also offering 20% of total mining output revenue back into the hands of the Canti government to help pay for rebuilding costs.
The next item on the list is the acquisition of the manufacturing centres previously owned by the Outlying Shipping Corporation. Yes, it is true that the Outlying Shipping Corporation recently sold prefabricated Manufacturing centres to the InterGalactic Munitions Corporation, with the intent for the Munitions Corporation and the Vehicle Productions Company (IMC and IVPC respectively) to be able to meet the growing demand for products. The manufacturing facilities are currently being used to meet and stock the Dantooine contract of weapons and armour, and we have the intention of making a deal with the government of Dantooine to help maintain their military with the recently sale of Republic vehicles.
Lastly, the interest group Sons of the Outer Rim recently held a protest on Coruscant demanding more attention to the Outer Rim by the New Republic. They have petitioned the InterGalactic Mining Core to help their cause, but the InterGalactic Mining Core cannot regrettably aid them at this time. Nonetheless, we have been invited to several of their fundraisers and intend to take them up on the offer.
Oh, by the way, for those of you who care, I will be personally attending the upcoming concert on Corellia for breast cancer. Thank you, that is all for today.."

Emergency Press Conference "Alright alright ladies and gentlemen, if you will all be seated so we may begin this press conference. I have asked you all here today to inform you, formally, that the InterGalactic Mining Core, and all her sister and children companies, were not informed as to the fortification or strength of the Dantooine system. The Economics Council is currently reviewing the case, and our body is no more privy to information than you. To answer the questions put forward by several of you; no, the InterGalactic Mining Core was not acting in accordance to a new Dantooine military uprising. The fortifications of Dantooine, as we are being led to believe, indicate that the planet was being fortified to protect against an Imperial episode, not against a possible secession from the New Republic.
To answer the other question, the Enforcer Arcamedeis (Designation AAO-003) was not in place over Dantooine to safe guard the turbolaser and shoot down civilians. Originally, the Arcamedeis was pulled back to Dantooine to help protect the planet against a possible attack from the territory previously referred to as the New Imperial Order. Had the InterGalactic Mining Core known about the fortifications of the planet, or had a planetary defence initiative been coordinated with the InterGalactic Mining Core, then the IMC would have reassessed the situation and not abandoned the controversial planet of Vjun. Nonetheless, the Board of Trustees is currently assessing our role on Dantooine, and considering a possible pull out from the planet.
In final, we will go on record as saying that the InterGalactic Mining Core is here to serve the people, but if a planet or its government chooses not to have the InterGalactic Mining Core (as is becoming evident) than the IMC will not overextend it's unwelcomed stay. That is all.

Circa April 12th, 2009 "Today the InterGalactic Mining Core would like to announce that at 0900 it will be universally, and across all its facilities, observing a moment of silence for Senator Ardelia Moraine who was brutally killed recently. Investigations are still ongoing, and there is no news yet as to who the culprit is.
Furthermore, the InterGalactic Mining Core is in ongoing talks with the planet Dantooine about a possible reciprocity act to help revitalize the recent strain on relations between the two factions. It is the hope of both the IMC and the planet Dantooine to iron out an agreement that will allow for the mutual cooperation of the two factions to continue.
Fondorian activists recently protested outside of IMC mining facilities on Fondor. For the safety of the public; IMC troops have been positioned outside all of our facilities to keep the protesters from getting too close to our ore extraction machines. We are working closely with Fondorian authorities to arrest members of the protest who turn violent.
Lastly, the InterGalactic Mining Core wishes to once more stress its intentions at Acherin; that being the bringing of democracy to the planet. We fully intend to aid the Republic when it arrives, and to help bring a swift end to any civil unrest that occurs as a result of the Republic incursion. We will not allow the region to become destabilized as it has in the past. I am aware that several of the protests currently being held on Fondor are due to the supposed looting that has been occurring on the planet Acherin. I assure you that nothing of the sort is happening, and that the IMC is acting in full accordance of the resolution passed within the Senate Hall. Thank you, that is all."
