A Commission on Public Safety Assurance is hereby established, under the authority of the Special Threats Division of New Republic Intelligence. The Commission is assigned to identify unusual, extraordinary and pervasive dangers to public safety, and to formulate and implement solutions to these dangers. The CPSA will be comprised of ten Commissioners, determined by New Republic Intelligence, and authorized to operate across interstellar borders. The CPSA will be headquartered at Coruscant, with an auxiliary office at Machenry Station.

The NRI is instructed to provide the CPSA with funds, files, material support and personnel as necessary for its operations.
