(( I have changed the design of the fighting style illustrated on the MSN Groups page. The only change involves the quadrants. Looking back on the initial post that was made regarding the ( Space Battle ) and ( Land Battle ) I noticed that one contingency wasn't accounted for, and that's the fact that the Units for both had similar designations and that the quadrants did too. This didn't really compute well unless I decided to segregate each battle segment into it's parts, but it also made it less concise and too much information to keep track of. In lieu of that, I have elected to modify the battle system slightly. Instead of Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Foxtrot, and Zulu as quadrants, I've lowered it to Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta for Space Battles, and Zone 1, 2, 3, and 4 for Land Battles. This way there is a clear designation between different zones. Sorry if it gets confusing, I will have to do a little rewriting to organize my units. Anyway can feel free to join me! I've tactically listed all my assets simply to keep an inventory of it, but I hope you enjoy my writing! ))

Proxima Zios was safe; at least for now. The small town was located near the Capital of Canti, approximately some nine hundred kilometres away. The fact that the rebels had been so closely situated to the capital was disconcerting for Malcolm to think about, but more bothersome was the fact that there happened to be a Calipsa military armored division not even three hundred kilometres away, well within interception range. Exactly what are they doing, he thought to himself, carefully picking through the pieces of debris left by the repulsortank that had been blown to smithereens. A smile crossed his face as he remembered the battle. A good many men had died during the attack; ten was too many for Malcolm.

"I tell you again that we are not ready for another attack," he glanced over his shoulder to regard Sargeant McKale. Denzel McKale, as fierce a fighter as could ever come out of Coruscant. He also had a knack for being arrogant, snobby, and all around annoying. Yet Malcolm had to give McKale credit, he had brought the Orion division out in time to save his own Unit from taking too many casualties. "Besides, we have Carina, Centaur, and Belerephone all reinforcing Orion. It would take a lot of firepower to break through ten squads of infantry and our tanks. Let's regroup and hold Proxima Zios."

"Can't do it," McKale stated with a flare of his arrogance. He moved up along the line of his Repulsortanks, carefully running a calloused hand over the rough contours of the beautiful monoliths. Malcolm narrowed his eyes, hopping from the pile of debris he had been standing atop of to glance carefully at the Sargeant.

"Why?"

"Orders. Carina and Centaur are moving with Orion. We're to establish another Command Base at the following coordinates," McKale reached into his tunic for a datapad, haphazardly tossing it to Malcolm. The Lieutenant caught it easily, quickly running his eyes over the instructions. The results made him frown.

"We're establishing a Secondary Command base at Plantifa? That's practically at the heart of the rebel insurgency. You're going to need more than eight squads and some tanks to break through that defense force." He handed back the datapad, his eyes moving to the injured soldiers as they were being treated by the medics. "Look, Proxima won't hold without reinforcements. I know we have Pisces and Sagittarius in reserve. Why not bring out the big guns, make a blitz for Plantifa and establish a strong Secondary Base? The rebels would have to be pushed beyond our outer zones before they reestablish themselves, and by then we would have an effective command post at both locations."

"That does make sence," McKale eased himself up atop one of the tanks, grabbing the latch, "but I don't question General Kevek's commands. He wants what he's allocated to be used where he wants."

"There's hardly any fighting near the Capital, or the Calipsa armored division base (Zone 2). It makes no sense for us to have so many squads protecting Calipsa units and being picked apart by our own."

"Hey, it's Mr. Bo'Vars call, and he's placed the majority of the power of IMC forces in the hands of Kevek. Anyway, I have to move my units out."

"Negative," Malcolm grunted, "I want you to stay put and dig in. Trooper!" He glanced over one of the communication soldiers, "get the general of the comm, tell him I need to speak with him."

"Malcolm, you could be looking at a court martial," McKale started, but he was interrupted by Malcolms raised hand. The other trooper started speaking.

"The General's secretary says that he is busy at the moment."

"I don't give Hutts mother what the secretary said. Inform him that I've deviated Carina Centaur, and Orion to Zone 4 and told them to reinforce by direct order. If he has a problem he can bring it through me." Malcolm snatched the datapad from McKale, nearly causing the man to fall over off his tank. With a swift hand he shattered the datapad against the side of the tank, destroying it's contents, "seems your orders didn't get through Sargeant. Take up defensive positions," with that the Lieutenant moved to inspect the front lines again.

CANTI CAPITAL
TAPANI SECTOR, CANTI SYSTEM, CANTI

"I trust these specifications work in your favor?" General Krevek asked as he poured himself another glass of the fine liqueur he had been enjoying before Dannil entered his office. Krevek was not a man to be trifled with, nor was he someone who took well to being antagonized. Yet the look that he caught on Dannil's face told him what he needed to know; the businessman was not happy.

When are they ever happy he thought angrily, setting the glass down and carefully lacing his fingers together to rest on the top of his desk. He waited patiently for Dannil to find a suitable chair and join him. Krevek made it a point to push his chairs to the rear of the room, where anyone choosing to stay long would have to move it. The effort was often not worth the price, and most officers chose to stand or make a quick departure. Dannil, however, was a man used to the tedious workings of the Republic, and even in annoyance took the time to reposition the chair.

"I'm curious how the war is going on your front, if you would be so kind as to enlighten me." The hint of annoyance was not missed in Dannil's tone, but Krevek simply smiled and shuffled through his flimsi for one particular copy that he had just been reviewing on the required armament of the Capital with defensive guns. He handed it to Dannil lazily.

His eyes skimmed the paper, but he didn't seem to care. Obviously the Republican was intent to discuss something other than the state of his war. Krevek already had an inkling as to what it could be.

"Interesting. A manifest for the required arming of the capital. Who gives a kriffin nerf turd about the capital!" He tossed the flimsi in his anger, looking utterly stupid as the ultra thin sheet simply flew back over his head. "Why is it that InterGalactic Mining Core assets are being used as frontal troops while you keep your tanks and personnel tucked away here?"

"Tucked away?" Krevek seemed surprised. "I was not under the impression that I was leaving assets anywhere that was not crucial. As I recall, we wanted to open a secondary command base and it was your own personnel that countermanded the order and chose to dig in. Now we have virtually little movement on our fronts and we're being attacked by rebel factions. You know as well as I," he stuck a pointed finger in Dannil's direction, "that this plan relied upon the careful construction of blitzing across the plains and taking most of the cities before we dug in. Now we have one command post, little defense, and a capital to maintain. I can't continue-"

"Enough," Dannil growled, and for once Krevek was surprised. He had never expected the very calm and collected businessman to be--angry. "My forces will not continue the push. We'll support Calipsa troops as they move forward."

"Unacceptable. I will not place my people in jeopardy simply because you are a afraid to lose some people."

"That is a decision not left to you," Dannil rose to his feet just as two Calipsa security troopers entered. "On behalf of Lady Alluria Namore, Lord Barret Arekson's steward--General Krevek--is hereby stripped of his rank and removed from office. His sentencing has been declared by Lady Namore herself--death." One of the troopers pulled a disruptor--too fast for Krevek to catch--and suddenly the room ignited.

General Krevek slumped back in his chair, a hole inbedded through his head and into the seat. Lady Namore entered the room after the gruesome death, flicking his hands for the troopers to dispose of the body. After they had left, she giggled, sauntering to the table ever so delicately.

"My, my, who would have thought that the InterGalactic Mining Core, a private mining company, could be so effective."

"Politics," Dannil replied, "now commit your forces, and lets take Canti."

"Of course lovely, it will be as you say." Her tongue peeked through her lips as she moistened them. Dannil smiled, walking towards her.

"Come here..."

    TERTIARY COMMAND: ELEIAS
    TAPANI SECTOR, CANTI SYSTEM, CANTI

"Very good," Dannil mentioned; waving his hand dismissively as he gestured the waiter out of the room and glanced over his shoulder towards Lord Miu. "After establishing these two forward command bases, we now have control over most of Canti, and the surrounding country. I have to admit that it did look bleak for a little, but once Lady Namore relieved General Krevek we have had very little problems securing some of the crucial industries."

"Indeed, so what is the reason you wanted to see me exactly?" Ridu helped himself to another glass of that fine liqueur he had been drinking for the majority of the morning. Dannil smiled, allowing the Lord a chance to fill his glass. For him, the CEO had simply resigned himself to Corellian whiskey. The tough meat didn't really allow for anything heavy to be eaten.

"I want to begin construction on some of the industrial zones, get the mining out of the way. With the current state of affairs on Canti being effectively neutralized, I think this is an ideal time for me to step back into the Galactic fold at least temporarily. After all, the noble houses are going to be questioning the move by House Calipsa into annexing Canti."

"The planet was ours!" Ridu growled beneath his breath, his fist clenching.

"I know, I know," Dannil placed his hands defensively, "I am simply saying that another push right now isn't what we need. So let us begin some humanitarian efforts and just hold our fronts right now. You have a contingent of fighters en route here as I recall, so there is no need for the InterGalactic Mining Core to keep our military might in orbit. We're going to resume our tenure of protection and return to our trade routes. As you are aware, the Outlying Shipping Corporation recently sold there Manufacturing plants to the IMC, so we are now capable of churning out military vehicles. We'll have an effective military force soon. In the meantime," Dannil rose from his seat, "I trust that you will keep from having House Calipsa attacked by Reena. Have a good day sir."

He left the Lord to his silence, smiling the entire time.
