The Blockadeers at Acherin fought nobly for the cause of the New Republic, defending the virtues valued by the New Republic despite political opposition at the time. They fought, they defeated the Imperial forces, they defeated the local oppressors and they set an example for the New Republic in the way forward to the Peace we enjoy today.#

As such, I award every Blockadeer (including those now dead, in which case the award is posthumous) the New Republic Civilian Battle Medal.

And, for taking the initiative for freeing the People of Acherin, and for choosing the right, despite oppositon and acting as boldly as any hero of the New Republic or Rebel Alliance. I award Senator Kruus and Senator Reuke Cambrist the Medal of Alderaan.
