| Bralor, Ordo, and none other than Fenn Shysa had a surprise in store, as the others would discover at the start of the meeting. After a meal of boar and uj'alayi—Mandalorians, and the Bralors especially, were known for their hospitality—the various leaders crowded into the atrium of the homestead for the meeting, sitting on benches, on chairs from inside, on the floor, or anywhere there was room. The smell of the feast (surely the best Valeria had ever tasted) still lingered around them despite the opening in the ceiling through which the stars could be seen brightly. A modest fire in the center of the atrium made for plentiful light and heat. Zuthus Bralor had stood before them, raised his arms to quiet the room, and wasted no time in explaining to the clan leaders that there was something he'd not told them. He was a man who was committed more than most to the True Mandalorian way—a pious man, a family man, and a devoted leader of Mandalore. He was also pragmatic, more so than he was portrayed and more so, even, than he portrayed himself; like everyone else, he saw that this was a dangerous time for the Mando'ade, as the times were changing in ways that seemed hostile to the Mandalorians or, at least, hostile to Bralor's agenda for the Mandalorians. Zuthus understood this, and that's why he had agreed when Marcus, his friend, had approached him in private to tell him it didn't need to be this way. Zuthus, as Mand'alor, had become a focal point of criticism of Mandalore (largely because of the ignorance of aruetiise, but still, it was so). Zuthus, as a man and a leader of Clan Bralor, could do more for his agenda outside of power, while a new leader repaired the planet's relations with the Republic, and with Kalevala. When Bralor realized that there were some, the likes of Ca'tra Odai, the Mereels, and others calling for civil war, he realized that a change had to be made. Things had gone too far. Fenn Shysa understood it too. Marcus had approached him as well, and reunited him with Zuthus, his old comrade in the war. They agreed that Shysa—legendary war hero, leader of the Mandalorian Protectors, moderate and well respected both by the Mando'ade and the Republic—would assume the title of Mand'alor. It was all announced, unexpectedly, at the meeting. Throughout the room, heads were lowered in solemn respect for Zuthus as he sat beside his wife, Isko, who threw her arms about him. Everyone knew that Bralor had done a difficult and, even, a courageous thing. Fenn Shysa was humbled as he stood to address the leaders, his red hair having lost none of its fire with age. "You all know me," he said to them, "And most of you know where I stand. We are in the midst of a crisis; a crisis of how we are percieved by others, and how we percieve ourselves. The latter is the more important of these. There are many in this room with different ideas about the future of the Mando'ade, and even if you do know where I stand, I want to know where you stand. All of you, please, speak freely in this chamber. When all has been said, all will be decided. Then the galaxy will know where we stand, together." (( Let's reset the posting order, if that's okay with everyone. I think it'll move us along the fastest. ))

| OOC: I must keep things quick Zuthus stepped forward to voice his opinion after hearing Jabo'a's noding to the honorable Fenn whom Zuthus had served under when his was much younger. "It would seem to me Jabo'a that you are right. I can no longer officially lead the people to the honorable path without perhaps inciting war with the Republic. This is why I have decided to step down as Manda'lor. But before we discuss the course of action I would like to take I've notice we have a new face amongst us." His Attention directed at the Mando female. Simultaneously his wife sniffed a wisp of air and whispered into Zuthus's ear. "That girl is wearing perfume..." This began to confirm Bralor's suspicion. He walked up to her and got unusually close. "Tell me. From what clan do you herald?"

| Stood there with his arms crossed, not really paying attention to Ja'boa ramble on about the old ways, there was a reason there were so many reforms. He wasn't one for the old ways any more, sure they brought glory, but with the new size of the Republic, and the peace treaty between the two of them, acts of Terrorism would surely call for attacks against the True Mandalorians from the New Republic, this is something Isez would try to stop, even if he had to betray his own leader, he shook his head and watched Marcus leave, he quirked a brow Marcus took his leave. He sighed slightly, then kept his mouth shut. He turned his head towards the Woman whom asked what her name was, he nodded at her. "Isez." He then scratched his forehead and looked towards the entrance to see Shysa come up towards Zuthus' home. "I thought..." He didn't continue his words, he just bowed to the Mand'alor, the true one, not the regent as he entered the room. Instead of stating his opinions, he would wait and go last.

| Fenn noticed the woman to whom Bralor referred and, with only a moment's hesitation, there was recognition in his eyes, then alarm. What was she doing here? His mind worked fast; she must not be noticed by the others. Not now. "There are many new faces here," he said, interrupting Bralor, "I have been away for too long, and there are many of you who I've not met and who I hope to meet when our discussion is finished. But..." He needed to change the subject to something that would monopolize the attention of the room, and fast. "I heard the words of Jabo'a Mereel as I entered, a moment ago," he said. "I have heard it said that he is the tyrant of Concord Dawn; that he speaks for a people who are afraid of him and his ways. He speaks fighting words of crusades and blood and war. Let us hear him speak his reasons. What say you, Mereel?" Well, it was done. There was surprise in the room as Shysa went belligerently for Jabo'a—something that the Mand'alor had hoped not to do so soon, but so be it. There was a tense silence as the Mandalorians, most of whom (including many Mereels) did not agree with Jabo'a's extreme views, waited for him to speak. Fenn used that moment to casually pick up a datapad he'd set down on his seat, and on it he wrote a quick note and handed it off to Isko to give to Bralor. It read: "It's the Duchess. Remove her, quietly. I'll meet you outside."

| The Mandalorian in the gold armor really wants a possibly final shot at honor and glory more than anything else. There were probably some Mandalorians that would mock Anubis for what happened between him and Rawls, the infamous smuggler, twice. Anubis might go after Rawls again someday in the future, but he would like to claim honor and glory not only for himself but also for his people. Besides Rawls, this Mandalorian hated the Remnant the most for what they have done to his people. He had made a vow to himself that if the Mandalorians decided not to go to war against the Remnant, he would look for people willing to do so. Once he got inside the conference, he saw the famed Mandalorian named Fenn Shysa taking up the role as the Mandalore and Zuthus Bralor stepping down. Anubis knew that Bralor was in a difficult position and no one blamed him. However, he would still bow his head down out of respect. In addition to that, he would kept his head down out of respect for Fenn Shysa as the new Mandalore. He had let out a grin. It had gladdened Anubis that it was Shysa that are going to lead the Mandalorians. Anubis' agenda still remain: He wants to combat the Remnant. The Mandalorian in the gold armor himself would not say anything and instead waited to see whether the Mandalorians will go to war or not.

| He stood silent through the sudden change in the Mandalore. It was far beyond anything he had heard or seen in their history, and while he personally was inclined to fight against this, he held a certain respect for Shysa in his efforts against the Empire. With him reclaiming the title of Mandalore, perhaps things would improve. He was distracted by Zuthus addressing the stranger whom he was now curious about and turned to, and then Mandalore spoke, and fire burned within Ja'boa's chest as he turned to him to answer. <<I am no tyrant!>> he said, barely containing himself. Taking a moment to calm himself, he continued. <<My people are free to make their own decisions. My people should not fear me...and do not. My ways... may be another matter, I admit. Change is hard, and I will give you that my personal beliefs may have recently become reflected in my leadership of my clan.>> he said, now stepping forward, looking down to the Mandalore. <<Yes, I speak of blood and crusades, war and battle, honor and glory. The very things our ancestors believed in and saught. But I am no idiot. There is much to be done before we are to make the march to war.>> he said, now looking around to various clan leaders and select Mandalorians. <<We must once again ensure, as we did when Zuthus began his reign as Mandalore, that the practices of personal bounty hunting and mercenary pursuits are put to an end, for those are warriors that should be at home, helping his clan and family, not himself. We must unite all our clans...all our people...all our worlds. All are to help us survive, and divided...off seeking personal riches and glory will not help us survive. At the same time, we must all adopt a path that is best for our people...and gives all traitors their due. Gargon, Kalevala, the moon of Mandalore itself, Concordia...these worlds must be brought into line. Then, and only then, can we bring the war to the Empire, and avenge our brothers and sisters who died under their oppression. They were once an ally that turned on us...and now the Republic is yet another ally to turn on us. This is a lesson we must learn and remember. We are on our own.>> he said, before turning to Mandalore. <<My stance is this...we should unite our space and our people, recover those spread throughout the galaxy, then take the war to the Empire and show them the true meaning of war. Teach them Mandalorian vengeance. And once they are wiped out and we have finally formed a glorious empire of our own...we give the same lesson to the Republic.>> he said, with a fire burning in his eyes.

| Were they sniffing her? Her slender brows rose high over her dark eyes. She leaned back, creating distance between herself and Zuthus. Her movements were not a result of fear, but simply because she wasn't used to anyone invading her personal space. It was never allowed. Her muscles tensed beneath the orange armor that she adorned, but her expression remained impassive. Time seemed to have slowed as she searched within Zuthus's gaze, finding there what his words did not say. "Clan Kandosii" she finally said, breaking her silence. A friendly smile teases the corners of her lips, breaking any tension if it were there. So that she may pass, she pats Zuthus roughly on the shoulder. Knowing her true identity, he would perhaps be surprised by the strength of her motion. Respectfully, she bowed to Fenn Shysa as she approached the table. Quietly, she would take a seat and extend her hand to her drink. She wasn't sure what it was called, but she liked the way it pinched her cheeks.

| "Jabo'a Mereel is right," Marcus said, unexpectedly. He had remained silent throughout recent events, and no one was quite sure where he stood. He was a friend of Bralor (and, for that matter, a friend of Fenn Shysa) and was generally assumed to be a moderate, albeit a fiercely independent one. If he agreed with Jabo'a at all, however, it was only superficially, as the room would soon find out. "The Sector should be united," he went on, "but there are more ways, and better ways to unite a people than to conquer them." He glanced to the Manda'lor and, with his permission, explained himself. "We're hearing a lot all of a sudden about True Mandalorians versus New Mandalorians, but we're still Mandalorians. We are one people, and despite our differences this Sector has been more or less united for decades. Until recently, that is. The times are changing, in ways that I don't think any of us can predict. Many of us are angry, some of us are afraid. The New Mandalorians, too, are angry and afraid. It's apparently in the interest of certain people, certain Senators, and certain aliit'alore"—Marcus glanced briefly in Mereel's direction—"to exploit this anger, and this fear." "What is the result?" Marcus asked the others, "The Sector, and the Mando'ade, is divided by its differences instead of being united by its common interests. We do have things in common with Kalevala; we have the same history as them, the same friends as them, and the same enemies as them. We all want a Sector that is safe, and we all want the Imperials out. Is this not enough to unite us, my friends? We should not condone their foolish, pacifist ways, but we should not destroy them either; pacifists do not scare me, Vod Mereel, and they should not scare you. Making an enemy of them—when we share the same enemy and especially when they do not stand in the way of us and that enemy—is di'kutla. There is no honor and no glory in killing a pacifist." He paused for a moment, before he concluded. "I refuse to become what certain, ignorant Senators say that I am. I am better than they say that I am. The Mereel'alor is right that the Sector should be united, but it should be united by consent, not conquest, to keep the Republic out of our way as we do battle with the Remnant. That is how I see it. I think Fenn Shysa and Zuthus Bralor agree with me, and I think most of you agree with me, too." He lingered for a moment and then sat back down, awaiting the next person to speak.

| Bralor was taken aback by the words of Ordo, for as long as Bralor had been Mand'alor Ordo had been quiet and laconic. Now his words were passionate and wise. It struck a cord with Bralor. He had wished that Ordo would have been more vocal about his concerns with Bralor but deep down inside Zuthus knew that Ordo kept quiet out of concern for Zuthus's honor. Bralor was just glad that now they could all speak freely. However there was still the problem of the Duchess. Addressing Ordo. "Though I agree with your words comrade," he said. "But I wonder if that is how Kalevala feels?" He looked over at the duchess with eyes of recognition. Bralor excused himself for a moment and came up to the Duchess. He stood close beside her and whispered in her ear so as other could not hear him. "Now is not the time for you to be here Duchess... please follow me." He took her hand gracefully and surprisingly gently and guided her outside. He motioned her to sit on a wall outside and he would sit down beside her. "A brave thing you are doing, coming here like you are. Brave but foolish."

| It was ironic that they were discussing Kalevala while the planet's Duchess was there, in their midst. Marcus, preoccupied with the words of Mereel, Bralor, and with his own, still did not recognize her, and didn't notice when she and Bralor left the room as he stood, again, and turned to speak to the other leaders. "If Kalevala does not feel this way, it is because its politicians have made it afraid of us. Some of us, too, have made them afraid of us." He resisted the instinct to glance, once again, at Jabo'a. "I do not defend the New Mandalorians—I've heard it said that they are cowardly, and perhaps they are. But once they know that they have nothing to fear from us, they will work with us. Then the Republic and its politicians will have no business here anymore." "Mandalorians—True and New—have the same enemy, and we both want this Sector to be safe from that enemy. That should be enough to unite us as we long have been, until recently."

| Was minding his own business, while listing to the words of his brothers, he strongly disapproved of the what Mereel said, even tho he would never say so, he did. His arms were crossed, he was about to open his mouth and speak his mind, until Marcus went on, he didn't mind Marcus was a general of renown so naturally he let him speak. Nodding with Marcus's every word. "Truer words have never been spoken, Marcus." He shut his mouth while Bralor went on about Kalevala, Isez had his own opinions of them, but he would reserve judgment until he met there leader, or duchess. Whomever was really in charge. He quirked a brow at Marcus as he spoke about the politician's being afraid of them. "I only killed one politician while I was out bounty hunting, it was because he had information on the Adate responsible for my families death, I've never successfully tracked them down, I was called back here. And that's the only reason I was bounty Hunting. Revenge." He said roughly then sat down, hearing the re st of the meeting while Bralor took the unknown female from clan awesome away.

| Quote "But I wonder if that is how Kalevala feels?" - Zuthus Bralor In that moment, she wanted to speak. But as Bralor approached her side, her parted lips pursed shut. The color on her cheeks drained as he addressed her by title, chasing her moment away. She allowed him to lead her to the entrance way, but she stopped him by tugging his hand back. "Please, let me go? It's now or never" she whispered and then released his hand. Slowly, she turned away from him and returned to those that gathered for the meeting. "I must first appologize for not being completely honest, and second for interrupting. Kandosii was the name of the clan that my ancestors belonged, and lives only now in our history. This armor is not meant for me, for I have not earned the honor of wearing it. I'm not a warrior, or at least not in your eyes. But I'm someone. I was once someones daughter, and anothers little sister. And although I'm not those things anymore...I became something else. Although I no longer had a family, I adopted a new one. But who knew it would be an entire world? Kalevala became my family, and I her Duchess." She paused then and glanced over her shoulder to Bralor, who only a moment ago commended her on her bravery. But it wasn't something she felt inside, at least not yet. In response to him, she continued. "No, I'm not brave. I see bravery every day, it lives within my people and gives their Duchess strength. Strength to do what I must, for them. Even if it means that I take from myself, or that I deny myself lifes simple pleasures. I don't deny that I live comfortably, but it is an empty comfort. What is a life without family? Friendships? Love? A small price to pay for what I truly love. Kalevala is my heart, and for her I will sacrifice. I'm young, but not foolish. It is never foolish to come to your peoples defense, or to dream of peace. To turn that dream into reality, and that's what I've done." Her eyes burned then with a mixture of anger, hope and despair that was so great, it seemed as if her emotions might burst forth and incinerate everything in sight. "I'm tired of being called a great many things, and yet nobody can tell it to my face. I'm not a coward, and neither are my people. It's not the True Mandalorian's that we fear, but fear that peace is forsaken. I didn't want you to know me by title, but as one of your own. I wanted you to look past my title, and respect me. But I knew it was only a matter of time before I was recognized, and I'm almost glad it's happened sooner than I originally hoped. So now that I'm here, what now? You know what I want, and your either going to make it happen or piss me off."

| There was surprise in the room as the Duchess revealed herself. Some Mandalorians rose to their feet in protest, while many hands went instinctively, and discreetly, for blasters. There was some indignant murmuring throughout her words, which became louder as she went on—but a tense silence ensued as she finished, as everyone looked to Fenn Shysa. Many of them had anger on their faces, as Jabo'a likely did. Some, like Marcus and Zuthus, would no doubt appear exasperated. A few of them, surely, were moved by her words and admired her dedication, but not Fenn; he massaged the bridge of his nose with his finger and thumb, his eyes closed. "So, the Duchess of Kalevala is among us," he stated the rather obvious, "However, if anyone should be 'pissed off,' Lady Valeria, it's the good and honest people in this room that you're committing espionage against. And your people call us 'imperious'?" He sighed, then raised his hand to the others in the room. "Brothers, sisters, away with your weapons. Be seated, please," he said, "Since we were already discussing Kalevala, we might as well do so in the presence of the planet's Duchess. Perhaps we may come to some accord, perhaps not, but at least we will understand each other. Duchess," he said to her, specifically, "Your words are passionate, and no doubt sincere, but what do you think of the words of General Ordo? If we decide to compromise with you, to guarantee the security of Kalevala and the security of the Sector, will your government and your people accept this?" "I, for one, agree with Vod Marcus," he went on, speaking now to everyone, "We needn't go to war with the Kalevalans if we can, in fact, agree on those principles that Marcus has mentioned. That, largely, is up to Lady Valeria and her government. I will be honest with you, Duchess, and with all of you, that I have little desire to rule this Sector. Only to protect it, as the Mandalorian Protectors have done for decades. Marcus is right, and I'm sure Vod Zuthus does indeed agree that we have more important priorities than how the planet Kalevala governs itself. This is Kalevala's business, not ours." "So what say you, Duchess?" he asked again, "And what say you, Vod Mereel? I see from your words that you, too, are sincere in your beliefs, even if I disagree with them and so too, surely, would Jaster Mereel. But you are a part of this discussion also. What of the words of Marcus Ordo? Is the Mando'ade not true enough, not sure enough, not proud enough that it cannot abide a few pacifists on Kalevala? That is, assuming they stop being belligerent to us," he glanced, again, in Valeria's direction. He might have sounded combative, but the Duchess would no doubt see that Fenn was arguing for peace with Kalevala and, moreover, recognizing its status as an independent world. This was, indeed, what she wanted. It just so happened that it was also in Mandalore's own interest as well.

| As the Duchess revealed herself, he was perhaps a bit more overt in his display of aggression. One of his favorite toys, twin blades in each wrist gauntlet, extended quickly. When Mandalore asked them to sit and stay their weapons, he did so...reluctantly. As he sat, he would not keep his eyes off of the Duchess. He sat there, thinking of the words of the others, of her words, and then of the words of the Mandalore. Jaster. His ancestor. One thing was to be learned from Jaster's example; despite your own beliefs, do what is best for Mandalore. He closed his eyes, thinking upon Jaster's story, and that of their last civil war. It nearly broke them, and gave birth to the problematic Death Watch, those that killed his ancestor. Previously, he had considered recruiting the Death Watch to his Crusader cause, he still might if not to reign them in., but for now, they had the direction of his anger. Concord Dawn still bore some of the scars from that vicious war. When Mandalore was done speaking, he stood, eyes now open and staring at the Duchess once more. He walked towards her, slowly and with purpose...like a predator about to strike. He stopped in front of her, a mere foot seperating them. For a moment, he allowed a tense silence build throughout the room, as he looked down as the Duchess. He then smiled at her, a one sided smirk, and stepped back two feet, and faced Mandalore. <<Perhaps I have...forgotten some of my dear ancestor's lessons. That is surely something for me to reflect on over time, and perhaps some of my beliefs. Despite my personal views, a peaceful resolution to this situation I can see is best for our people at this moment, should it be possible. Of course, should the Kalevalans agree to such." he said. He remained at his position, although was noticeably more relaxed than he had been throughout the evening.

| She'd lost herself within that silence, as if time had stopped and wound itself tightly around her body. Cat like eyes drifted nearly shut, becoming two angled slashes that gave her a fierce and unreadable expression. The intensity within their gazes was unprecedented, especially the one belonging to Jabo'a. Casting back her head, Valeria gazed up at Jabo'a as he approached her. She didn't know what his intentions were, but they became clear as he stood over her. Instinctively, she slid her right leg back and brought her hands up into a guarded position. Her fighting stance was about a shoulders width and a half wide, and her weight evenly distributed between both legs. Her foot placement followed the same line, narrowing off her stance so that her body were closed off, making it difficult to target. Her left fist was farther extended than her right, and edged off closer to the left side of her face. Her right was placed slightly bellow a now lowered chin, ready for that reverse punch. Both elbows were close to her body, and were prepared to block strikes directed at her body. Her movements were not forced, but surprisingly natural in which they were displayed. Could they be no different from one who's experienced combat? It was most unexpected when Jabo'a smiled at her, causing her slender brows to knit forward in her confusion. A soft sigh escaped her lips, followed by a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Relaxing, she dropped her hands by her sides and moved her legs closer together. "Manda'lor, I didn't come here to spy. I just didn't want to be judged, but that's what I felt in those moments of silence. Sometimes it's difficult to be heard, when those you're trying to reach are no longer listening. I've been called by many names that are not my own, but would you still repeat them? Even as I stand before you? If I were to trade places with one in this room, would I be so quick to judge?" She smiled thoughtfully, pressing her fingertips to her lips. "Yes, I suppose I would...but I'm asking you not to." She turned then to General Ordo and dropped her head and shoulders, bowing to him. Her dark tresses falling over her shoulders, spilling out into a sea of layers. "Kalevala agrees to your terms."
