Deep within the deserts of Abregado-San a small group of people labeled as "Insurgents" were residing within there mountain Fortress. There leader, a man that stood just over 6 foot looked down within his Fortress buildings, strangely enough they built the fortress within the mountains, where they had his own assembly area, training rooms and pretty much a boot camp for any "Redeemer" that join Akku's cause.

A smug grin crossed his face as he looked down at his men, he was in short supply of men, but he knew they were all faithful. The shortage is mainly due to the republic's interference. He'd step into the spotlight, and speak into a microphone, there technology was old school, they used slug throwers instead of blasters. He removed his Shemagh and exposed his face to his troops, due to the planet always being sunny he had dark skin. "My brothers and sisters, The Redeemer's are going to try and annex us soon, of this I have no doubt." His words escaped him smoothly.

The man growled after he was finished speaking. He'd pace back and forward while looking down at his troops once again, the men he fought with since he was born, some were older then he is, some barley of age to be considered a man. "I promise you this. My comrades." He paused briefly and continued with anger in his voice. "We. Will. Display. Our. Dominance!!!" He yelled loudly with a ferocious war cry.

After he was done with his war cry he turned around, walked into the darkness of his platform, and walked back out with a man with a mask concealing his face, tied up like a pig, and with blood splattered over his body. He was not dead, just beaten pretty bad. He'd backhand the masked man and walk back into the spotlight and make a speech for his men. "Today we rise again as one nation, in the face of betrayal and corruption!" A cheer broke lose from his men bellow. "We all trusted this man's father to deliver our great planet into a new era of prosperity." Akku paused for a little bit while his troops cheered once again. He would then continue. "But like our monarchy before the Revolution, he has been colluding with the Republic, and possibly The Empire with only self-interest at heart!... Collusion breeds slavery!... And we shall not be enslaved!... The time has come to show our true strength. They underestimate our resolve. Let us show that we do not fear them. As one people we shall free our self's from the yoke of foreign oppression! Our army is strong and our cause is just. As I speak, some of our comrades are nearing their objectives, by which we will restore the independence of a once great planet... Our noble crusade has begun."

Akku turned his head and he saw two of his personal guards pick up the hooded man, and throw him over towards Akku. He did not catch him, he just let him fall. He then turned back towards his comrades and continued his speech." Just as they lay waste to our side of the country, we shall lay waste to theirs." A loud cheer was heard from the crowd below, louder then before. Akku would then walk over towards the hooded man, pick him up and bring him into the spot light. "This is how it begins." He laughed slightly after his speech ws finished, he brought out a pistol, removed the hood from his captive. When his face was revealed to Khalid's insurgency another war cry broke out, He'd then aim down at his captive's head with his pistol and fire one shot into the head, thus executing him. The execution would not go un-noticed, A holo-recorder had recorded it all, and sent the video to the leader of The Redeemers.

When the execution was over Akku would snap his fingers, the two personal men of Akku's would then pick up the body, and carry it into the darkness. They memorized the place by heart so knew were they were going, They took him out of the mountain fortress and onto a speeder, the speeder was rigged to automatically drive into the Capital City of the Redeemers, and eject the body towards the leaders office building. "This will clearly send the message that we mean to take over again, and lead our people into prosperity." He said to him self while his comrades bellow cheered his name loudly until it was time for them to go into combat, once again.

The lights in Adali Nabeshin's office came back on, and silence filled the room as the soft whirring of the holoprojector came to an end. The film had been graphic and, for Nabeshin, personal; he continued to stare intensely at the screen as if, in his mind, he were still seeing the murder of his son. Loran looked askance at the Minister—who was fighting to suppress the tears that appeared to be welling in his eyes—then looked away. It troubled Loran to see grief, because it was something that he didn't understand. "Condolences," he said, fruitlessly, as he gazed at his fine Eriaduan loafers and lamented that they'd been sullied with sand on the short walk from the landing pad to Abregado-san's administration building.

"You understand, now, why we do not want the New Republic involved," Nabeshin said, having collected himself, "I'm not interested in a ceasefire—not anymore. These people are philistines, Mr. Loran. Terrorists. They are barbarous men with no future, who don't want anyone else to have a future, either. The Republic would be gentle with them, and negotiate with them." He pronounced the word 'negotiate' as though it were profane. "This is where your organization comes in," he explained, "You understand, surely."

"Yes," Loran answered him, "Patriot Defense Services sells solutions, Minister. Your world has a problem. We have a solution."

"You will help us then?"

Loran crossed one leg over the other, brushing some of the sand from his trouser's leg and onto the Minister's carpet. "Well," he said absently, "We are not inexpensive."

"No, you're not," Nabeshin walked to his liquor cabinet, retrieved a bottle of cognac and two glasses, returned to his desk and went about pouring the drinks, "But I'm told that you're worth the price. Abregado-san is not a wealthy world, Mr. Loran, but be assured we will pay you—we can enact a crisis tax if need be. This is a crisis, after all." He handed the smaller of the two glasses to Loran, who nodded his thanks.

"Then yes," Loran said as he stood, "we will assist you." He raised his glass to Minister Nabeshin, who was hardly in the mood to raise his own glass but did so regardless. "To the freedom of Abregado-san," Loran proposed, "The freedom of its fathers to fear not for their sons." With the clink of their glasses, the deal was done. Tomorrow, Nabeshin would sign a contract and, within the week, the PDS's weathered army of mercenaries would have their boots on the sand and their fingers on their triggers.

Little did Akku know Minister Nabeshin was recruiting private contractors do do his dirty work. After the cheering was done, Akku would walk back into the darkness of his platform inside his mountain fortress, walk down some stairs, and go into the assembly area where his men were ready for combat. "I have a plan, that town that's in the middle of the planet. Let's go mess it up." He said cockily. He then wrapped his face again with his shemagh and pulled out a holo-map of the area he was mentioning. "You see, since we and the redeemer's look alike. We can just hide in there for a short while then terrorize the place."

He rubbed his chin for a bit then looked around. "Zef, get the explosives. Rest of you carry small weapons." Zef, was his biggest guy, trained in explosives since the he was able to talk, he was a huge towering Juggernaut, at least to Akku he was, and seeing as Akku was 6 feet, that meant Zef was about 8 feet or even taller, full of muscle and anger. Akku would pat Zef on the shoulder. "Mask him, in case some one in town recognizes our faces, I'm sure if there's a sand storm a lot of locals will be wearing there mask's as well, if not the rest of you take them off... I'll leave mine on." After speaking he'd walk towards there speeders, was just a few of them, and one minor transport. He didn't bring all of his troops just a few to terrorize the city standing between them and Adali's main city, which was up north.

Soon the squad he had assembled was on there speeders and in the transport, they'd start up the vehicles and take off inside the mountain fortress, soon a door would open wide enough for the transport to exit, as well as the speeders. Soon they neared the city. Akku stopped and the speeders behind him and the transport stopped as well. He then pressed his comm on, on a frequency only his squad was set to. "We'll walk from here or it'll look suspicious." His tone was calm as he hopped off the speeder, found some foliage and covered his speeder, his squad did the same and covered the transport as well. They would then walk towards town, acting like Local's, except Akku and Zef.

They kept a straight face and headed straight to a personal house they seized while there a few months ago. It had good view spots, good spots to see the fire works go off as his lightly equipped squad-mates planted explosives across town, concealing them greatly, except for one bomb, in the main entrance of town from the north side, the wire's were in plain site, surely this would become a mistake. Akku stood on the balcony of there "Mid-city" headquarters while looking down at the north entrance, from this high up he could not see the wire's that team alpha had screwed up on. But still, he watched closely, to see if any Nabeshin transport entered the area.

Minister Nabeshin also mentioned one thing. "The city in the middle of the planet... You can not go in there just shooting at random people, there are also civilians there... do this instead, when shot at, shoot back at them... but please... do watch your fire, I do not need any more deaths on my hand." Adali, was in his seat working on some papers, also about to sign the contract.

((OOC: Just make it in your next post that Abdali sign's the papers, then you continue with your post.))

The town of Falstaff was quiet in the hours after the explosives were first seen and reported. Everyone was inside, afraid to go out, and could be seen only occasionally peering anxiously from windows. The sound of repulsorlifts was heard as a pair of Armored Freerunners cruised into the town proper, traveled its narrow, but empty streets, and came to a stop in the square. There were two roads that fed directly into the square, and the respective speeders assumed positions that would allow their turrets a line of fire down each one. The hatches on each Freerunner popped open, and a number of PDS soldiers climbed out and met with each other, and the Falstaff Security officers waiting for them, in the center of the square.

They were seen talking with each other for some time, with the seeming leader of the PDS men nodding his head occasionally. "Right," the Captain said to the Falstaff attache when he'd finished appraising them of the situation, "We'll do what we can. Do us a favor, though. Go from door to door, tell your people to stay away from the windows. If one of these bombs goes up it'll take most of the windows in this town with it. We don't want anyone hurt." That, and everyone in a window was a potential shooter. But the Captain didn't mention this—he didn't want to make the locals nervous. The officer nodded, turned, and disappeared into the security barracks on the far side of the square, leaving the PDS men alone.

"Who's he think we are?" the Captain's lieutenant—'Scrimshaw,' from Dantooine—asked as soon as the police officer was away, "We're hired to blow shit up, not stop shit from blowin' up. How's he figure we're 'sposed to disarm a bomb?"

The Captain shrugged. "We don't have to," he answered, and signaled them to follow him as he walked back to one of the Freerunners, where another troop of PDS men had unloaded a pair of crates emblazoned with the company logo and the words 'SPECIAL Q4OP.' None of them knew what the 'Q4OP' stood for, but they knew from experience that any crates with 'SPECIAL' on them were going to contain something that'd make their job easier. Usually it'd be a new toy, like missile launchers, limpet mines, or sensors. In this case, each box contained a droid programmed specifically to identify and diffuse explosive devices. Some assembly was required. When finished, they'd look much like protocol droids—but with four arms so that it could carefully handle explosives, and repulsorlifts instead of legs so that it wouldn't step on any mines or triggers. It also had a variety of tools, including laser and fusion cutters, and sensors intended to detect explosive compounds in its immediate area. Also, they were, of course, armored.

"Shiny," Scrimshaw said, admiringly.

Not more than an hour later, when the droids were prepped, the Captain ordered one of the Freerunners to cruise the foothills on Falstaff's perimeter in case the insurgents had any spotters there. The other speeder advanced, with the PDS troops walking beside it with one of the bomb disposal droids, up the street where the first explosive device was seen. The soldiers, most of them New Republic war veterans, took up positions around the site, outside of the blast radius, where they had good line of sight on the surrounding buildings. None of the buildings in Falstaff were taller than three floors (except a tower that stood tall over the town), and none on this street seemed to be taller than two. Some of them had been evacuated, and the residents of others warned to stay away from their windows. The troops, and the turrets on the Freerunner, kept an eye out.

The droid went to work. So far, so good.

"You see a lot of action during the war?" Scrimshaw asked Private Shandy, one of the soldiers beside him who was glancing about the street.

"Some," Shandy said, "I was on Ralltiir, mostly."

"Ralltiir, huh? Killed a lot of Imps there I bet."

"No," he explained, somewhat reluctantly, "I was on the other side."

"Oh," Scrimshaw said, and then fell silent. He'd been in a Dantooine regiment that became famous for the impressive number of Imperial cogs (with red slashes through them) that they had painted on their helmets. Suddenly it seemed inappropriate to boast, although Scrimshaw's animosity toward Imperials was such that he was tempted to. But it wouldn't be helpful. "What do you suppose these insurgents want?" he asked, changing the subject.

"To kill us," Shandy answered, without hesitation.

Scrimshaw laughed, then went back to glancing about the surrounding buildings through the scope of his blaster rifle, taking an occasional glance at that tower. They and the rest of the PDS troops waited as the droid did its work. It wouldn't be long now.

Within the western side of town, atop of a tower, right below a church, a target the PDS was forbidden to attack no matter what stood Akku, looking down some binoculars at the northern entrance of town while the PDS troops entered, he saw that they had stopped and found some wiring leading to a bomb, little did they know there was multiple bombs across Abregado-san. "Zef." he said into his radio. "Get in the local security's outfit and approach them, slowly and with your left hand up, indicating your an ally, see what they are up to, and who sent them, when you have the information let me know.... I also think they noticed out little 'Present' for the Redeemers, find out." His voice was a bit angered as he peered down at the troops as there droid approached some wiring, all hard to see but they were far away from the first bomb while the droid approached.

Zef would suit up in the Falstaff security outfit, holster his guns and everything, he would then proceed towards the PDS troops with his left hand up, to indicate he is an ally. "My friends, I am Bidaywi Hamed of local security, I mean no harm. If need I will drop weapon." He said loudly while approaching the PDS troops, he of course did mean trouble but he wasn't going to go alone against a full squad of armed men, Zef might be a big guy, but he also had brains. He slowed his pace while walking towards the troops, hoping they would notice him and acknowledge.

The PDS troops were spread around the street so that no three of them were close to one another. It gave them better vantage points, better fire coverage, and most importantly, it made them into many targets instead of one. This was especially important when dealing with explosives. Zef approached from behind them—the Captain was there, keeping an eye on all of his units. "Scrimshaw," he said over his headset, "Stay sharp. Got one of the local boys coming my way, going to have a word with him."

"I thought they was goin' stay out the way?" Scrimshaw's voice fired back.

The Captain glanced at him and Shandy across the street, and shrugged. "Guess not," he said into the headset, laconic as ever, "Just keep sharp, huh? I'll be back in a minute."

"Wilco."

The Captain pulled his headset off and let it rest around his neck as he lowered his rifle, turned, and walked in Zef's direction with his hand raised in a somewhat exasperated "Stop" gesture. He met the man a fair distance behind the Freerunner and the rest of the troops, although still in sight of them. His eyes widened, ignorantly, when he heard the man's name. He made no effort to try to pronounce it. "What can I do for you, uh, Mr.?" he said. There was impatience on his face. He hated it when the locals got involved; it complicated his job, and right now his job didn't need to be complicated.

: Zef nodded at the PDS troops. "I sorry, my communicator wasn't work. I just wanted to see what was going on, I see you are the one Nabeshin sent, I leave alone now." Zef spoke basic well, he just pretended not to around them to full them some more. "Back to my patrol" He said as he walked away from the pds troops slowly, and away from the blast zone. Akku was still upon his tower, right near the church. The only building amongst the city that couldn't be fired upon, and the only building that would be safe, if the bombs went off but at this point the PDS might defuse them before they went off, instead of a detonator, they were timed. A snarl was heard from Akku, he then opened the comm to Zef and the troops. "Retreat, back to the base, everyone except the two of you posted near the east entrance. Once we are gone. The two of you light them up." There was anger in his voice, outside help for the redeemer's greatly jeopardized his plans for taking over the planet. As it should be. Akku headed down the steps of the tower, he then tapped on a wall, where a secret door opened. Akku entered the wall and walked down a secret path, the exit of the path was about 2 miles away from his base, Zef walked out the southern entrance, acting like it was his patrol once he was out of town Zef hopped on a covered speeder and took off towards the base. He picked up Akku on his way and they entered the base, and put it on lock down while Akku planned on what to do, or some support for his self.
