Senator Vanden, I would like to invite you to the Jedi Relations Summit I am hosting on Ossus. It is a gathering of scholars, advisors, journalists, bureaucrats, Galactic Senators, and Jedi. I would love nothing more than to hear your comments added to the discussion on Republic-Jedi Relations. Please respond ASAP as to whether or not you will be attending.

Dear Senator Crion,

Senator Vanden sends his regret that he will not be able to attend the summit, due to a prior, scheduled appearance on Naboo. He hopes, however, that you will relay to the other participants his sincere desire for perpetual understanding and accord between the New Republic and the Jedi Academy. The Senator considers himself as a friend of the Jedi, and the Jedi as a friend of the Republic, and will support any measures in the Senate that would propose to strengthen this historic relationship and oppose those that would propose to weaken it.
