| The Y-Wing set down on a landing pad in a hangar bay the Calipsa family maintained on Coruscant, and from it emerged Tarodal and the purple plated astromech droid affectionately named 'Toad'. He changed briskly into a more casual warddrobe than usual. Navy blue slacks with a grey dress shirt, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His shoes were black, along with the belt. His white undershirt could be seen where the top button of his shirt was undone. On his belt he clipped a lightfoil hilt that he had acquired on a space station fuel stop in between Kalevala and Coruscant, it wasn't built to his specifications, but it was ornate and fancy looking, which was exactly the perception he wanted it to give, and would suffice until he had sufficiently researched the nature of the weapon to create the lightfoil he had in mind for himself. He left Toad with the Y Wing, and took a hover taxi to the Senate offices of Mical de Crion. He would go into the front lobby, and inform the secretary that he was there to meet with the good Senator.

| Inside his office, Mical sat behind his ornate desk, having a discussion on the state of the Republic with his daughter, Chloé. She was a political prodigy herself, some calling her the "Leia Organa" of the Tapani Sector. The eighteen year old was certainly ready, as she had at times out debated her old man. They were interrupted by a V-series Supervisor Droid that emerged from a room off to the side. Within, a GA Series Information Analysis Unit alogn with 2 JN-66 Analysis Droids worked away on random data. Periodically, the supervisor would emerge, giving him a report on the various happenings around the galaxy. He read over the datapad, seeing a recent attack on supply convoys bound for Eriadu, however nothing else of real merit going on. He then allowed his daughter to continue. "What of this Hutt, Jamulon Tiiure? He's the most blatantly corrupt Senator out of all of them, and yet he still roams free!" said his daughter. He nodded to her, "Yes, but while we are all aware of his corruption, there is no evidence. Forte tried; the courts shut down the investigation. Tiiure handed over his financial records, but of course, should anything incriminating be witihin, he wouldn't hand it over. More than likely, he has a few accounts in Hutt Space that he didn't show and we can't touch." he said to her. Obviously flustered, she wouldn't give up. "What about the Chief of State, can't he do anything?" she asked. He smiled and gave a light chuckle to her. "In theory, yes. However, Tiiure is one of Gavrisom's strongest supporters, until recently it seems. He wouldn't do anything if he could to get him removed." he said, when she began to say something else, seeming to continue the line of thought, he interrupted. "One thing you need to learn about Republic politics, is that you can not bludgeon your way through problems. Rather, you must be diplomatic about it, and slowly change things. I've tried the radical, sudden approach...and it doesn't work. You have to use diplomacy." he said. She leaned back in the chair and thought for a moment. Outside of the room, in the reception area, Tarodal Navlon entered, and reported to the secretary."I will notify him immediatly." said the beautiful and young secretary. The girl was from House Pelagia, showing her house's crest on the lower portion of the right side of her dress. She walked into the office, leaving Tarodal to wait in the reception area. Here, he would meet the secretary's assistant, E-3PO. The droid walked up to him, "Greetings, my name is E-3PO human-cyborg...oh my... you couldn't possibly be wearing THAT to meet with the Senator?!" exclaimed the droid. It's voice practically exploded with arrogance. Before Tarodal could probably manage a response, the secretary emerged from the office. "My apologies should the droid offend. He's in the process of being shifted to domestic duty." she said. She would escort the man into the office, where he would find an even more beautiful woman in a seat in front of the desk. On the left side, stood equally beautiful man and woman, currently wearing formal clothes displaying the crest of House Cadriaan. The woman in the chair would be Mical's daughter, Chloé, and her two bodyguards, Océane and Nathan. In the corners of the room, stood HK-77s, acting as his bodyguards. Another group, from the Freeworlds Common Army's Commandos, stood by in another backroom. A 9PO protocol droid approached Tarodal and spoke for a brief moment, "I apologize if my counterpart offended. He is slated to be shipped to the Senator's personal apartment today and take over administration of the housekeeping activities." it spoke for a brief moment. Mical nodded to Tarodal as he was seated by the secretary in one of the three seats in front of his desk. The third sat in between Tarodal and his daughter. A moment of silence hung in the air as Mical looked him up and down before continuing. "Greetings, Mr. Navlon. I trust your trip was pleasant? So far, NRI is yet to contact me on any problems, so as I said before, you are approved for your position. Can I offer you a drink?" he asked, attempting to make the man comfortable before begining their opening conversation.

| He didn't recognize the crest that the woman wore on her dress, because he hadn't made it a point to learn all of the houses, their symbols, or even their politics while he had been serving House Calipsa as a bodyguard. It hadn't been necessary for his job, and so he hadn't wasted the resources or the time on it. Better to spend that time practicing with a blaster pistol, than learning politics. But now that he was on a break from his service, and able to pursue other intelligence, then now was the time. He made a note of the crest the secretary wore, and promised himself that he would either ask, or research it later, along with any others he encountered while in the Senator's service. He wasn't at all surprised that the foremost political figure of the Tapani sector had a beautiful secretary, as he nodded while the woman rose from her desk and headed back into another room, ostensibly to tell the Senator that Tarodal had arrived. He watched her figure as she walked away, his eyes caught by the sway of her hips. He shook his head, as the voice of the protocal droid interrupted the silence of the waiting room. The Duchess still haunted his thoughts, but he wasn't one to ignore the sights. Quote "Greetings, my name is E-3PO human-cyborg...oh my... you couldn't possibly be wearing THAT to meet with the Senator?!" exclaimed the droid. And when the secretary returned to the waiting room, she was rewarded with an easy and genuine smile from the man as he glanced at the droid one last time before following her into the Senator's office. His eyes ostensibly made the rounds of the room, going from the woman in the chair, to the pair standing to her side, to the pair of droids in the corners of the room - and to Mr. Crion himself. This was a visible show only, to give the impression that Tarodal was exactly what he said he was - a non political hired hand, eyeing a room before he entered it out of old habit. It wasn't like he was attired for killing, with a largely for show only lightfoil hanging from his belt. His Force senses however, told him that more men with that uneasy readiness of soldiers were nearby, and he interpreted the people present as a show of force, but it couldn't be for him, he reasoned. He had just arrived and the Senator had no way of knowing when exactly he would arrive. So just who, or what are you prepared against, Mr. Crion? He thought as he glanced around the room one more time, before allowing himself to be seated in the chair by the secretary. He shook his head to the offer of a drink. "Thank you though, Senator. You have a lovely secretary." He commented, tilting his head in the direction that the secretary had gone. "The trip to Coruscant from Kalevala is uneventful, if a bit round about." He mused for a moment. "Even if Kalevala reminds me of Imperial occupied worlds. Everyone is real tense."

| He nodded to him at his refusal of the drink. "I'll make sure to pass along your compliment." he said. He took a moment to organize his desk, it being cluttered with various datapads concerning various research on personal pursuits and legislation. Were Tarodal looking, he would notice a majority of it was about the Jedi in general, as well as specific things, such as the Old and New Jedi Orders. He then took a seat, having been standing the entire time, and took a sip from a glass of water to his side. After getting settled, unfortunately probably an uncomfortable moment for Tarodal, he looked down a datapad he had now grabbed, containing a list of question he had prepared to ask the young man. His daughter however, beat him to it. "What your political beliefs, Mr. Navlon?" she asked, turning to him and breaking her silence since he had entered. Little did he knew she could keep the conversation with him going for the next couple of hours, and Mical merely leaned back and smiled towards his daughter, awaiting Tarodal's answer.

| Gave merely a passing glance to the objects that were on the Senator's desk. It wasn't in his nature to pry quite so openly, and he had come with a different purpose than fact finding. Indeed, he did have a purpose here today. He paused for a brief moment, giving the woman, Mical's daughter, a once over before looking back to the Senator. "Well as your daughter, and you know, Senator. The doings of the Republic, are for the most part a matter of public record, and being a concerned citizen, I am rather up to date on the more recent doings of the Senate, and so stating that, I must inform you that I find your personal politics, given the recent joint military bill you tried to pass, and your statements regarding Kalevala, I believe the more pertinent question, Miss, and Senator, is what exactly are your views?" "I am a citizen of the Tapani sector, Mr. Crion. And yet you have two bodyguards in this room. You have Hunter Killer droids, Mr. Crion as well. They are well known as assassin style droids, and I am just a humble citizen, I am even one with a proven track record at protecting others. I am a bodyguard, Mr. Crion, not an assassin." He also could sense the air of preparedness that accompanied the Free Worlds soldiers that Crion had standing by in another room. So there were more than just what Tarodal could see, there. He stood up then, turning his head and giving Mical's daughter another once over. "Forgive me Miss, it is a shame to leave such a sight so soon." He looked back to the Senator. "I am going to leave, Mr. Crion, and inform the noble houses that perhaps it would be best if we sent our own representative to the Senate, considering that we are currently represented as a sector by an over vigilant, militant minded man who treats even reputable citizens as enemies. Unless of course, there is something you'd like to say that could sway this perception I now have of you?"

| He nodded to him. 'He's sharp.' he thought to himself. He took a moment, taking in what the man said as he stopped. "Every Senator has to take precautions. If you must know, I have received a few death threats following the Kalevala debate...thos increased following my Joint Military bill. Normally, I keep the Hunter-Killers at my private residence here, but have found it necesarry to have them tag along for the time being until the threat of an assassination attempt by Republic nationalists passes. The two bodyguards are my daughter's and for her own protection, it is up to her whether or not they are here, and they are in fact also good friends with her, so they are a common sight. Normally, a contingent of Freeworld soldiers are part of my personal guard, but I have removed them in an attempt to avoid the militant image you are assuming. As you can see, by simple explaination, you can see that this show of force is not for you." he said, while staying calm. In the back of his mind, he was now curious as to the man's true intention, for he now seemed to be nothing more than a spy being implanted by the noble houses. Not beyond them, but if that were the case, the man didn't spend much time trying to gain intelligence; and blew his cover rather quickly. "Now, on to my views that you are so curious about. To be honest, my debate on Kalevala did not do my position justice. While I am all for bringing neutral worlds into the Republic's fold, I am against blindly jumping into situations. In the case of Kalevala, we were going in blind...damn the consequences. That is stupidity, and sets us up for more war and conflict, more death and destruction...and that is something I will not allow, nor should anyone else loyal to the Republic. Concerning the Remnant, I believe we to be gradual on stepping down to a peace on both sides, at the sime time, integrate with each other to ensure a peace does hold. Once we become brothers, there will be less of a looming threat of an outbreak of violence once again, and we will stand united against any new threat that may come. The ultimate goal of our great government should be to finally unify this galaxy, not keep it in some shattered mess. We've taken steps towards this goal, but need to be more aggressive in this fact...but remain careful, as I've said before. That covers your direct inquery. The other issues I'm concerned about is our economy, and its transformation into a peace time entity. We can not allow our defense companies and shipyards go out of business and must help them in transforming. At the same rate, corporate regulation must be maintained, we can not allow happen to others, what happened to our Sector; we're still recovering from that. We must also make sure that slavery is wiped away from the entire galaxy, for good. This is a new addition to my 'platform', if you will. It was a mistake, some of the things I said in the Kalevala debate." he said, staring at him, curious if he would stay. "Now that I've hoped I've satisfied your curiosity and corrected your perception, I will ask you directly. What are your true intentions in attempting to become part of my staff?" he asked. His daughter now sat quiet, not staring at Tarodal at all, but her father. The shook her head, thinking of what the man just said. Although her father would probably give the man a chance should he choose to stay, she was very weary of him.

| He appeared to hesitate, after he had stood. "My entire agenda is entirely my own, Senator. If you read my dossier you know that I am not native to the Tapani sector. My allegiance is not to it alone, but to the galaxy as a whole. My intent in joining your staff is to wet my feet in the political arena, learn the ropes, meet people. Develop a network of contacts. You have my assurances that I won't be serving any other agenda than the tasks you set before me, and my own goals of self betterment." (Sorry its short, short on time today, didn't want the thread to idle.) Added (19 Mar 2010, 0:37 Am) --------------------------------------------- And he waited for the Senator to put together a meaningful response, or even for the man's daughter to speak for him again. He watched them both for a few moments as he stood there, waiting, and waiting. It wasn't in him to wait for things that were not of utmost importance. There were things Tes'dra would wait for, but there are things that he won't. A Senator of questionable beliefs and undeniable paranoia is not something that Tes'dra, "Tarodal" is willing to wait for. He has other things to put in motion. A great evil is coming, and you cannot answer me, Senator? No, I must go from this place. Is Tes'dra's thinking. He would offer a simple nod, and then he would be gone.

| He nodded back, his silence was a test of the man. A tes of his being, and to the Senator, he didn't seem to be seriously interested in the job. The man was good however, at attack and deflection. He would indeed make a good politician someday. Most of Tarodal's obervations were full of assumption, a bad move however, but one to be expected of a novice in the art of politics. "Come back to me, when you're serious about a job." he would say as the man exited.
