Full Transcript of Comments to Coruscant Journal

"It is unfortunate that the Chief of State has seemingly dropped out off the face of the galaxy. I believe, upon meeting him, that he prided himself on his ability to quickly react to the issues, interact with the Senate and citizens openly and in a timely manner, and addressing legislation quickly. The Chief of State's reclusion is unbecoming, considering the state he left it in. If he is sick, as his staff says, the few that even know where he is, he shouldf have made sure the proper positions were fulfilled. Normally, the Chief would be temporarily replaced by the Chair of the Senate in this case, but the esteemed Gustav Emerest is hospitalized with a heart condition, and to him I wish a speedy recovery. Our third in the line of succession is the Minister of State, a position which has been unfilled since the beginig of the Gavrisom administration, and it appears he has no intention what so ever to fulfill the seat. This leaves us in our current situation, in which the Republic has become headless; and it is unacceptable for us to become such. We are a galactic government, and we need to represent that authority, and act in a manner befitting our citizens who truely are the Republic and who we represent and work for, and in a maner befitting the sacrifices our brave beings of the Defense Forces have made over the past sixteen years of existence, and the six years spent fighting for the day that this government could exist. This, is not how we honor those I just mentioned. This is not how a galactic government should be. We had a head of state visit Coruscant and speak to the Senate to be met with silence. We now have two pieces of legislation that have completely stalled due to the Chief of State's lack of statement concerning them. He hasn't been seen in fifteen days. Should this go on much longer, the Senate will be forced to take matters into it's own hands and take care of the situation personally, those that have remained on Coruscant at least, of which I am a part of, and shall continue to be a part of throughout this crisis."
